âReally? Even if itâs just once or twice in the next half a year. Iâm sure the chickens donât miss us that much, but itâd be nice.âÂ
âYeah, but thatâs all typical, year-round stuff. Iâm talking like a holiday bash, or a Halloween party! A summer festival would be nice. The fireworks always look so great from here, no matter where you are.â The lack of city obstruction helps that fact. âI do like the harvest stuff, though. All the fresh fruits and veggies? And talk about candles. I always come home with six minimum.â
âYeah, âcourse. Just tell me when you wanna go, and weâll make an afternoon out of it.â
Joel nods, eating more of his pretzel. âI think a summer festival would be nice, too. It really is about time Marigold did something outside of the same old.â Small towns might be a far cry from the ever-shifting city, but resident happiness keeps crime rates down. âAw, yeah, the candles are nice. Canât miss out on all the cobblers either.â Apples, blackberries, and cranberries are hard to avoid. âBut Iâll see if that summer festival has gotten more traction, and let you know. Iâm sure they could always use a couple ideas, too.â
