Someone's throwing up a lot in this ER, please pray for them, it sounds painful
Being corrected by Scripture is more important than being able to quote it.📌

“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” -Exodus 33:14

How to build a prayer corner.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
— Joshua 24:15
A prayer corner is a small sacred space in your home dedicated to prayer, reflection, and time with God. It does not need to be large or elaborate. A simple corner offered with love can become a place where your heart learns to return to the Lord throughout the day.
A beautiful prayer space is not about decoration—it is about creating an environment that helps you remember God’s presence.
✧ Ⅰ. Choose a Quiet Place ✧
Find a place where you can pray without too many distractions.
It may be:
✦ A small table beside your bed
✦ A shelf in your room
✦ A corner of your living room
✦ A small space near a window
✧ Ⅱ. Place a Crucifix at the Center ✧
The Cross should always remind us of the heart of our faith: Christ’s love and sacrifice.
A crucifix can serve as the focal point of your prayer corner, reminding you that every prayer begins and ends with Jesus.
“We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.”
✧ Ⅲ. Add an Image of Our Lady and the Saints ✧
Catholics have always surrounded themselves with holy images as reminders of the communion of saints.
Consider adding:
✦ An image of the Blessed Virgin Mary
✦ Your patron saint
✦ Saints whose lives inspire you
✦ A favorite icon or sacred artwork
✧ Ⅳ. Keep Your Prayer Essentials Nearby ✧
Make your prayer corner practical by keeping things you use often close at hand:
✦ A Bible or Gospel book
✦ A rosary
✦ A prayer book
✦ A journal for spiritual reflections
✦ A candle (used safely)
✦ Holy water
✧ Ⅴ. Make It Personal ✧
Your prayer corner should reflect your relationship with God.
You might include:
✦ Flowers as a reminder of God’s creation
✦ A favorite saint quote
✦ A handwritten prayer
✦ A list of intentions
✦ A spiritual book you are currently reading
✧ Ⅵ. Create a Habit of Prayer ✧
The most important part of a prayer corner is not what is placed there—it is the time spent there.
Use this space for:
✦ Morning prayers
✦ The Rosary
✦ Lectio Divina
✦ Evening examination of conscience
✦ Moments of silence with God
✧ A Simple Prayer for Your Prayer Corner ✧
Lord Jesus, may this small space remind me that You are always near.
May my home become a place where Your name is honored, where my heart finds peace, and where I learn to love You more each day.
Blessed Mother, pray for me and guide me closer to your Son. Amen.
“One thing I ask of the Lord, this I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.”
— Psalm 27:4

"As a woman and a lover, however, I am moved by the sight of my Beloved. Where He is, I want to be. What He suffers, I want to share. Who He is, I want to be: crucified for love."

Saint Arnold of Soissons
1040-1087
Feast Day: August 14
Patronage: brewers, hop pickers, millers, music, to find lost articles
Saint Arnold (Arnulf) of Soissons had been a career soldier before he became a Benedictine hermit at the Abby of St. Medard in Soissons, France, where he reluctantly accepted the role of Abbot. When the abbey changed bishops, St. Arnold founded another abbey, St.Peter in Oudenburg, Flanders. It was here that he enthusiastically brewed a low alcohol beer that even protected the locals from the plague (from the bad pathogens in the water.) Once when the abbey roof collapsed and destroyed the stored beer, he prayed that the supply be restored, which happily it was.
Prints, plaques & holy cards available for purchase. (website)
“Politics has become so primary in modern life that the masses are more moved by promises than by fulfillments.”
- Archbishop Fulton Sheen
