I’m not actively using tumblr at the moment, but I still have a creep every now and then for nostalgia. I found it hard to manage as I got too focused on numbers (or lack of) and treated the content like it was a second job so I lost the joy in it. But I have been thinking lately how much I miss the researching, the creating and the community. And I do love that people are still engaging in my content even though I’ve not been active for nearly 3 years. I’d like to come back sometime when I find a balance but I think it’d be focused more on history and OH maybe if I get back into that, rather than royalty. I’ve felt disconnected from that history loving side of my identity for a while so this would be a nice way to connect back with it, I just haven’t found another researchable special interest yet! :)
Damn, I log in this morning for a quarterly creep, reply to one message from April and now I’ve found myself on this app multiple times today scrolling through my dash and likes from 3 years ago.

Hello! I don’t really have an opinion to be honest! I don’t know her movies but she’s on tv and chat shows every so often here. I think she’s very glamorous and probably has plenty of good stories but I don’t really know much else about her :)

Absolutely! I haven’t seen it and don’t intend to. Her real life was interesting enough so I don’t get the fascination with the conspiracy theories and the need to degrade her based on false stories and misogyny. I think it’s pretty disrespectful to her memory and life. From what I’ve seen the director of the movie has been openly disrespectful of Marilyn and doesn’t care for her one bit so I don’t know what his motivation was other than money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is probably a really stupid question, but the dress she is wearing here isnt her coronation gown, right? Did she get changed during the ceremony just for this part? Someone help

@krill9 @ellierosecreate She was still wearing her coronation gown under this plain white dress, this one slipped over the top of it as part of the ceremony where she was stripped of her state robes and jewels before the anointing. You can see in these gifs here - I can’t remember which doc I got the clip from but hopefully helps :)
