You know what’s really cool? Orihime and Rukia’s friendship.

Rukia initially tries to get through to Orihime with violence (or, at the very least, with force), but since Orihime does not react the way, say, Ichigo would for example, Rukia changes tactics immediately. Rukia understands and accepts that Orihime is a softer person, and needs softer handling. So she opts for a more gentle approach, while remaining as honest and realistic as possible (and look at how she cups Orihime’s face!) and that has a much better effect, of course. 

And then (after this) Rukia even goes as far as help Orhime train to become stronger, what everyone else had refused to do or hadn’t thought to do.
