Kaede sits in a warm bathtub. The days in Shirogane are slowly growing colder. The silence in the house deepening with it. It's not all bad though. Sometimes Sahji'to comes to give her sweets and romance novels. It makes her happy and shy enough to sink into the tub a bit more, as if he'd see her happy blush from across the sea. She adores him but more and more she's starting to wonder if she's getting a small crush on him. He's very kind, but troubled by many other things as well. Would he even ever like her that way. She blinks a few times with that thought. Sighing out and poking at her smooth, sharp, scales under the water, before submerging completely.

She doesn't remember it, but she knows she's from Sui no Sato. Nearby and under the ocean waves of the Ruby Sea. A fear of the ocean keeps her from ever visiting her parents who lost her to bullies pushing her into a stormy sea all those years ago. Still, she's glad to be able to sit under the clean water for a time to gather her thoughts without needing to come up for air.
