"Hmm?" Iba perked up. The few beads of sweat that dripped down his jaw were quickly wiped aside as he turned to look at the visitor.

          “I’m glad to hear it.”  He motions for his lieutenant to join him at his side as he begins to head towards the exit of their division.  Perhaps if he is free,  then he would enjoy joining him for a walk.  Goro seems to note the potential without fail,  jumping up from where he had sat,  tail wagging excitedly.  “It has been a while since we have had the opportunity to be in one’s company aside work.  Would you care to accompany me as I take Goro for a walk?”

Iba perked his head a little, watching as the Captain motioned forth and headed out.

          “Iba-san.”  He dips his head in warm greeting,  meeting his lieutenants gaze.  “I hope you are not overworking yourself.”

"Eh? Right now?" Well, inspiration *did* strike at random. He couldn't say he wasn't flattered either. Moreover, this just acted as a boost to his ego.

“Ah… Is that all?” He really doesn’t see the problem with this. After all, he’s never been one for crowds himself, so the small number in the club is more to his liking. Not to mention he rather doubts that even if they did somehow manage to gain more members, the chances of them being able to properly stand up to the Women’s association are… Slim, at best. Even so…

“Maybe if we do some sort of recruiting fair, that could get new members. Ah! Especially if we hold it at or near the Academy, so that we can strike early and gain some of the newest recruits and students into the fold!”

"What the hell kinda reaction is that?!" Is that all, he slammed his knuckles to the floor and huffed, "We've been working hard to keep this club afloat, and with it being so close to bein' dissolved, that's all you gotta say?"

After a brief shake, that hand cupped his chin inquisitively for a minute as he mulled over the possibility and efforts needed to undergo such a plan. Recruit starting at the academy... Well, it would give them a chance to get some fresh faces. If they could get some real rising star kinda guy then surely the whole clubs status would stand to benefit.

“Emergency meeting? Did someone die!?”

What the--

“No, ya dunce! If someone’d croaked you would’a heard somethin’ about before now!” Honestly, this kid! Always jumping to the worst possible outcome. He had half a mind to slap them upside the head sometimes.

He sighed.

"...What's happened this time?"

“The end of August is just around the corner and we haven’t had a single new recruit, that’s ‘what’s happened’!” Iba exclaimed, a fist slamming down to further emphasize the distress in his voice.
