“With photoshop anything is possible, but it is fascinating to see how creative photographers were before its time. This collection, from 1963, was shot by Melvin Sokolsky for Harper’s Bazaar “Bubble” Spring Collection. Each image features model Simone D’Aillencourt in elegant fashions of the time, floating in a bubble through the fashion capital of the world: Paris, France. The bubble was made of plexiglass and it was hung from a crane in each of the various locations, yet the strings that held it in place are completely invisible.”
