Can someone please help me like silken tofu? I love all other kinds of tofu, in lots of different formats, but I just can’t handle the sensory experience of silken tofu 😭 advice please!

Today a very friendly Golden Retriever came up to me and I said "hey buddy :D" and the owner asked "do you know each other?" like his dog had a social life he didn't know about

There’s a golden retriever in my neighbourhood who I used to see when I was riding my bike. I got a scooter and had to change routes, so I didn’t see them for a while, until one day I was in my greenhouse and she barged in and tackled me for pets. Her owner was entirely apologetic and was like ‘she never does this I’m so sorry’ until she realised it was me and then she was like ‘I thought you were taller.”

My dog Oscar used to get babysat by my incredibly sociable roommate, who would take him to parties. Oscar was a pug x elkhound and extremely recognizable. More than once while out for a walk we'd run into someone who knew him (but not me) but the most memorable one was the morning we were walking by a diner on east hastings with outdoor seating and an entire brunch party of strangers gleefully erupted into squeals at the sight of my dog and filed out onto the street to say hello to him by name. He was thrilled. I was confused.

During lockdown George, who was easily recognisable for being very large, very ginger and very sociable as cats go, realised that people had developed walking routes round the estate that came past are house and if he sat at the bottom of the drive he would get attention from everyone walking past. With some of the very small children they were so regular that I got used to getting up and letting him out at the right time (if he wasn't already out) because otherwise we'd have small children refusing to leave to drive until they said hello to George. So lockdown was bad for socialisation unless you were a cat who was happy to put up with excited tiny humans.

I’m sorry but I misread the last addition and thought you were referring to the Covid times as ‘lockdown georg’ (who was an outlier adn should not have been counted)

why don’t they make a baby pope.

having to elect a new pope every ten years because they keep dying is super inconvenient. if it’s a baby that’s a solid 80 year streak right there. and a baby is basically a clean slate so he can be influenced by the forces of good and evil as he grows. we’ll see what god really wants
