Okay so uhh first thing i’ve noticed is him and silvally’s bond. Tokio says in volume 2 that he relates to silvally, being that he was created (born in Tokio’s case) purely to battle. Tokio also often denies that he needs a bond with any Pokemon, but in Chapter 10 Type:Null evolves into Silvally, which is, surprise, a friendship evolution. He obviously cares about his Silvally alot.

I think Silvally/Type:Null must’ve been there since he was like REALLY young, since that’s when most of Tokio’s trauma happened.

The next thing thou would like to talk about is the scene where tokio turns evil. I’m pretty sure this was just a design choice to emphasise how sort of ‘insane’ Tokio is in this scene but Tokio’s spiral eyes really intrigued me. His eyes end up going all black with white rings like a page or two after.

I interpreted this as Tokio’s anger, grief and trauma taking over him. On his Bulbapedia page it says that he ‘regains consciousness’ after being defeated (when he falls to his knees and his eyes roll into his head), which further proves my point.

ALSO, I’ve noticed that Tokio dresses rather feminine compared to the rest of the Horizon cast. First of all, he has a bob, which is usually a hairstyle women would have, although there are alot of men who wear it. His shirt is long, and it is shaped a certain way, i don’t know how to describe it (ill attach a photo.) it has a weird ahh collar with two golden buttons, which MIGHT symbolise his connection to royalty???

He wears flares, which from what i’ve seen, men and women both wear. He wears almost bandage-like shoes with a point. This might represent him covering his grief and anger up?

ALSO i've noticed Tokio wears eyeliner!! Which isn't as feminine but still notable.

He has eyebags aswell, which makes me think he could possibly be overworked by his father? He has them more in Volume 2 aswell I believe

HI ANON! yes of course i can (this might be me yapping for a while though, he's like my favourite Pokemon character ever and i've analysed most of his character)

first of all the most important bit to his character is his childhood, (i presume that he was like a toddler when this happened) his father found out he had a talent to control Pokemon using his hands and his eyes and locked him in a room for months on end to 'hone' this ability.

At the same time, his mother was incredibly ill, so he frequently pleaded to see her. His DICKHEAD father said no, however, and his mother ended up passing away. This whole thing ended up ruining his personality.

When he was 16, the events of Pokemon Horizon Sun and Moon happened. He was tasked with getting the Rockruff with the red stone (basically, his father is the leader of the team that wants to use this Rockruff to take over the world) but failed to do so, as he ended up just using the one battle he got with it as a sort of 'test' to see how far it would go (this rockruff literally gets up after having multiple injuries, thats why he wanted to test it!)

He also abuses a Jangmo-o he had just caught in this battle, and this is the first time we see his 'ability'. (and obviously i am not gonna excuse this, what he does to this Jangmo-o in this battle is awful, he even gets his Type:Null to kick it)

In the second volume we first see him watching the two main characters fight Napo, one of his colleagues (i mean they work together and they've been shown interacting in a positive way so MAYBE they're friends??)

When Napo refuses to admit defeat he somehow gets down from where he's standing and commands them (Napo's gender was never confirmed) to leave.

Throughout Volume 2 (until Chapter 10) he seems like he's changed. Him and the two other main characters end up fighting his father, and unintentionally kill him in Chapter 10.

Then, Tokio announces that he's had a massive plan of 'plunging the world into eternal darkness' and he practically goes insane (well his eyes go all spirally then go all black with a white ring so uhh yeah) and he fights the MC and loses. THEN he joins the MC's team.

I must add he heavily relates to his Type:Null/Silvally (it evolves in Vol.2), saying that both him and Silvally were born purely for battle. he constantly denies the fact that he needs a bond with Pokemon to train them but Silvally is a friendship evolution SO

EDIT: i also forgot to say, Tokio from Horizon (whom i'm talking about in this) and Tokio/Horace from Journeys aren't the same person! Many people think they are but they officially aren't!

i made a post a day or two ago saying i finished digimon ghost game and i wasnt able to write what i felt about it fully 💔

first of all, this was my first experience of the digimon franchise, i was drawn to the show as i knew Tenya Yabuno (who's made/worked on two of my FAVOURITE things, Pokemon Horizon Sun and Moon and Inazuma Eleven respectively) had made the character designs and did art for the credits. Also, id been seeing alot of Kiyoshiro on my pinterest aswell :P

i just wanna say this show did NOT disappoint. ive seen some people from the digimon fandom say this show is like one of the worst and then some say it was the best so i was unsure going into it. i laughed, i cried MANY MANY TIMES, i was grossed out, i felt alot of emotions watching this. the scenes that were meant to scare genuinely freaked me the HELL out!!!

my favourite character was ofc kiyoshiro, i relate to him so much and i found his personality so interesting :D

overall, 1000/10, WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

(p.s: im gonna see if they do beatbreak on anything ive got, apparently thats meant to be really good.)

honestly like one of the if not the BEST show ive ever watched. the ending made me cry it was absolutely gold

im considering watching (i think its called this?) digimon adventure next, either that or beatbreak bc that's meant to be rlly good

i dont believe its the exact 5th anniversary day today but i wanted to share this sooner than later because it means alot to me.

happy 5th anniversary to the show that i only started watching like 1-2 months ago but have already enjoyed so much. digimon ghost game means so much to me and im so happy i get to share my passion for this show with all of you.

ive made many memories with this show. I LOVE IT SO MUCH AHHH
