Sure Moira MacTaggert had 10 (11 technically) lives but how many times do you think X-Men like Kitty have lived. Like, does she still remember the entirety of her false life on House of M? What about the illusion of a married life with Colossus that she had in Astonishing X-Men? Did she choose to retain her memories of living as a prisoner in Age of X? What happened to her memories from Age of X-Man? She lived so many full fake lives (most of them in close succession, separated by being trapped in a constant state of suffering in a giant space bullet). Does she choose to remember all of them or did she scrub them from her memory? Did she at any point lose her grip on what's real and what's fake? (The question extends to others of course but I just put together some thoughts about Kitty's fake realities)

i love karma from new mutants so much because you create a character who is a survivor of child sexual assault and you give her a mutant ability that allows her to force her will on another character, removing their agency and violating their personhood. that’s fucked up! can you imagine being her in that situation? how you would feel using your powers? there is still so much to explore with this character

more people need to consume media how dedicated comics fans consume their media of choice

go up to any comics fan and ask them which writers house they would mail pipe bombs to and they’ll list of at the bare minimum 5 different people. ask them their favorite character and you’ll be greeted with an answer followed by why every comic ever featuring that character has been literally the worst and they refuse to read it again. truly i don’t think there’s another group of people so invested in something that they truly despise to such a great degree.
