this too shall pass

Back on my walk blogging bullshit.

When Brooklyn and I lived in Burbank with one of my favorite people and tons of wonderful mascotas, I would walk around the town for miles every other day, taking a different path every time and snapping pics as I went. At the time, I was in a terrible place and after a crazy year, it might be time to pick it up again.

At my third job of the year, about to celebrate my 31st, and planning something really special for 2024 and beyond, I find myself wondering how to build my own community in a place I plan to leave within 2-5 years.

Trying to write again is less like pulling teeth and more like wading through a bog; less painful yet still a challenge. Reading has began the fill my mind and inspire my heart as I attempt to find a peace greater than I've ever known.

Time flies sometimes and the last six months have been a blink of an eye: my eye, staring through the hole of a sewing needle. As I looked out past the needle and into the world beyond, into the heart of a city I was forced to move to for an institution I despise, I finally feel open to newness in a way I thought I'd been the last three years. As Brooklyn and I explore ourselves and revel in our relationship (7 years now) and it's success, I find myself wondering if this is the precipice of something better, something next and something new.
