🍎🍏HAPPY #TEACHER APPRECIATION...I was challenged to write how my business and being an educator go together this week. I have taught for eleven years, mainly in #kindergarten, with this past two years moving into a #specialeducation position. I adore children! The way a child lights up when he or she learns how to read. Teaching has become who I am and all I know are so I thought because it's what I had been doing. I knew nothing else. Especially when I went through my bad #divorce it was my students that kept me going and seeing their faces everyday. I don't think I would have gotten through that time period honestly without my students. No one gets married thinking they will divorce. No one can see into the future. I never thought this was going to be my life. I would be a #single income woman owning a house and car with no children of my own. In the beginning, that devastated me because that wasn't the plan when I was a little girl planning my future. What I wish I could tell that little girl was that GOD would bring something when I least expected it and it would change my life. It would come from a best friend offering an opportunity that I could make some extra side money while I continued to teach. I joined thinking I'll give it two months and then peace out because there is no contract if I hate it. I had people ask me for about a year prior to join but never took them seriously. I had no idea I was signing up for amazing friendships all over the world or a "side biz" income that in less than a year surpassed my teaching salary. I went diamond in four months with this company and double diamond in eleven months. All while teaching my first year in special education because this job can be worked anywhere! I work around my teaching career. I remember when I first started teaching I kept my Applebee's job and I would go in after work and on the weekends. It was exhausting. I don't know when I will actually retire because to be honest it's scary to leave something you have done for 11 years but knowing I have the option is priceless. When I do have my own kids I can stay home with them now and that's the biggest blessing. 🍏My why has definitely changed
