Interesting thought. But it makes sense that the "Mouth of Sauron" is the one Mairon chose to be his voice, represent him. In a way, they are very similar. The Mouth chose to serve Mairon and bound himself to him by choice, unlike other servants like the Nazgul who did choose to accept the rings but were reshaped by the rings and completely lose their will. the Mouth never lost his will, he was right to the end the willing voice of Mairon.
And how similar is this to Mairon's own journey and the way he chose to serve Melkor and was never enslaved or forced in any way. As compared to Melkor's other servants who were reshaped and completely enslaved.
lord of the rings really was lightning in a bottle. it shouldnât have worked but by god it did. peter jackson, who had no filmmaking education and was mostly known for making low budget splatter movies, had no business going out and changing the movie industry like that but he did. return of the king showed up at the oscars and became one of the most awarded movies of all time. to this day it holds the record for the highest clean sweep. hollywood will keep trying to recreate that magic with bigger budgets and high profile actors and they will keep failing. i look at the state of these blockbusters where everything is smoothed over by soulless cgi and actors are acting opposite tennis balls and they will never hold a candle to the pure heart and soul and craft of the lord of the rings. every single person involved in that project loved being part of it and it fucking shows. iâm so thankful the stars aligned the way they did for these movies to happen like that.

itâs simple: when I like an adaptation, everyone complaining about changes to the text is a whiny baby who needs to get over themselves and accept that sometimes you have to change the story to enrich the experience/work within the medium. when I donât like an adaptation, itâs because nobody else understands the core themes of the original work and would be better off just creating a story independent of what theyâre trying to adapt.

Summary:
Bilbo is the only palaeontologist allowed to dig in the Badlands around Erebor.
He has been permitted to dig in a place that calls to him, though he doesn't know why. All he knows is that this is the find of a lifetime, and yet that is not what has him excited. The feeling of having known these creatures that are now fossils is what has drawn him in.
And as always, an excerpt:
Bilbo blinked as he looked around himself. He was dreaming. He must have been, because he knew he was not a dinosaur, and yet he was being dragged around inside the shell of the dinosaur he was somehow inhabiting but was unable to influence. He could feel what the dinosaur was feeling. Anger, worry, hunger, confusion. A storm of emotions that he didnât know if they were his or were the creatures he had apparently hijacked in his sleep. He was even more confused when the body he inhabited let out a low coo, one he hadnât known dinosaurs could make. Admittedly, he wasnât sure if they actually could make such a noise or if it was made up, just like him being a dinosaur, asleep or not, was clearly a product of his overactive imagination. He didnât have much time to think of it as he heard a soft rustling coming from the trees behind him. Bilbo felt it as his ⊠the dinosaurâs ⊠legs moved, turning him around. He felt his mouth open as he let out a challenging bellow to the trees before him. From the way he was moving his head and from what he could see from the corner of his eyes, he was some type of Ceratopsidae. He had to be from the size of his head to the horns that were never quite fully in sight, but there nonetheless. If his dream continued, Bilbo supposed he would have to look in a pool of water to figure out which one he was. He would have thought it weird to be dreaming of such a thing any other time, but he supposed the fossils he had just found were affecting his subconscious. Though he wasnât sure how his thoughts were so clear. He had never known he was in a dream before. But what else could this be? It wasnât as if he had ever been a dinosaur in another life after all.
