The word that defines Damian, without a doubt, is loyalty. A loyalty so intense that not even death could weaken it.
Damian has gone through a lot during his development. He’s barely a teenager, yet life has already treated him horribly. He doesn’t talk about it often because he was raised to deal with vulnerability through either avoidance or aggression. He doesn’t directly acknowledge how much his past still affects him, so most of his growth happens quietly — through actions rather than words.
Damian is far more emotional than people think. He just doesn’t express those emotions openly or directly. Sometimes he comes across as erratic, but honestly, that’s because he feels things too deeply and doesn’t fully know how to handle them.
Not to mention Bruce, Talia, and even Ra’s are absolutely terrible examples of emotional responsibility.
As a yandere, he’d fall into a level of confusion and inner conflict that he may or may not be prepared for, depending on what stage of life you catch him in.
If he’s younger — around 10 to his late teens, maybe even early twenties — he’d probably react similarly to Bruce at first: denial. Complete denial.
Damian doesn’t see himself as normal, so the fact that he becomes a yandere for someone means he sees something in you that he cannot find in anyone else. Maybe it’s because he sees you as his equal. Maybe you share his interests, or his worldview. Or maybe it’s the opposite — maybe you complement him instead. Maybe it’s the fact that you’re more emotionally expressive, or the way you see art differently, or maybe you remind him of the people he loves most: Jon and Grayson.
Damian has always connected best with people who balance him out rather than mirror him completely.
But one thing is certain: Damian cannot love someone he doesn’t admire first.
To love you, he has to admire you.
So there’s something about you — whether it’s a trait he relates to or one he secretly envies — that makes him deeply interested in you as a person.
At first, he tries learning more about you almost unconsciously. But the second he realizes what he’s feeling, he tries to deny it.
He denies that he loves spending time with you.
He denies that whenever he enters a room, he looks for you first.
And he’ll deny until the day he dies that there’s a sketch of you hidden somewhere in his notebook.
Still, Damian knows actions speak louder than words. Unlike Bruce, he accepts much faster that you matter to him — and that it’s not the end of the world.
Now personally? I think once Damian is older, past his twenties, he becomes far more receptive to these feelings and acts on them much faster.
At that point in his life, he’s starving for affection. Genuine, consistent affection. Especially physical affection.
Being deprived of that for most of his childhood and adolescence leaves him touch-starved in a way that runs frighteningly deep. He wants to be vulnerable with someone. He wants to love and be loved.
Damian is an extremely protective yandere. Especially after Alfred’s death — he becomes almost paranoid. He’s terrified of loss, and even more terrified if you are the one he could lose.
You can expect him to stalk and monitor you from the very beginning, because in his mind, it’s “for your safety.” That’s what he keeps telling himself, anyway.
Out of all the yanderes, he’s probably the most patient. His perception of family is deeply warped, which honestly makes sense considering how he was raised. To Damian, family hurts. Love hurts. But it’s still worth it in the end.
So even after kidnapping you, even if you lash out at him or intentionally try to hurt him emotionally, he rarely takes it personally. To him, your reaction is logical. Maybe you just don’t understand the intensity of his love yet — but he genuinely believes that someday you will, and that eventually you’ll love him back.
And not only is he patient, he’s resilient.
Damian has been a survivor since childhood. He’s endured almost every horrible thing life has thrown at him, and to him, this is simply another trial. A test of devotion.
And once Damian loves someone, that love is the most loyal thing they will ever have in their life.
Even when you think his guard is down, it never truly is. Before he was a child, he was an assassin. His senses are incredibly sharp and refined. There’s a reason he was the only Robin allowed to wear a hood — he can practically fight blindfolded.
That same skill lets him understand you before you even fully understand yourself.
And just like Bruce, he’s deeply indulgent with the person he loves. Damian doesn’t believe there should be limits when it comes to showing his love, so the first thing he does is spoil you. He doesn’t even expect anything in return at first — making you happy genuinely makes him happy. He likes the idea of you associating him with comfort, safety, and the things you enjoy.
For Damian, there’s a minimum level of luxury you will be provided with. It’s not really materialism — it’s just that he’s completely devoted to giving the person he loves the absolute best. You basically live like royalty. And you’re definitely protected like it too.
He’s also one of the few yanderes who genuinely believes you should continue growing intellectually even while confined.
That mindset was drilled into him by the League. Of course, that doesn’t mean he’ll force you into anything, but if you show interest in a subject, art form, or skill, Damian will enthusiastically find the best teachers possible so you can master it. And if you refuse outside teachers, he’ll simply teach you himself.
And this is obvious, but out of the entire Batfamily, Damian is one of the few who would genuinely be willing to kill for you. For both of you.
He doesn’t want to abandon Batman’s teachings, but Damian has already lost too much at such a young age. The idea of losing you too is simply intolerable to him.
And out of all the Batfam yanderes, he’s the one least likely to hesitate when it comes to using the Lazarus Pit if necessary.
He just cannot lose you.
He knows it may take months — maybe even years — before you show the same kind of love toward him. But if you show even the slightest interest in him as a person? In what he likes or dislikes? If you genuinely try to understand him?
Damian honestly believes you’re the best thing that will ever happen to him.
And that only makes him greedier for your attention.
Once you start showing interest in him, he becomes terrified of losing it. He wants your focus entirely on him. Under the right circumstances, I genuinely think he could develop an anxious attachment toward you.
And after a year of confinement?
He can’t wait anymore.
He wants to make your bond official. Maybe even legal.
Because Damian has absolutely no intention of ever letting you go.
My rating for him is probably a 7/10. Even though he’s a yandere fully willing to kill for you, his love isn’t entirely selfish. He stays patient and gentle with you no matter what.
More than anyone else, Damian understands that growing up through violence or being “taught lessons” through pain only leaves scars behind. He would rather cut off his own hands than ever do something like that to you.
Out of all of them, his love is probably the purest.
Available Batfamily yandere concepts: Batman ; Nightwing ; Robin ; Red Hood coming soon...
It took me way longer to do this analysis than I expected. Damian is a much more complex character than people give him credit for, and honestly, I wasn’t satisfied with the first analysis I wrote for him. The deeper I dug into his story, the more it hit me emotionally. I even cried at one point.
My goat… they hurt that boy so badly ever since he was a baby. He deserved so much better than the parents he got. 😭😭😭
God, I projected onto him way too hard. Now I can’t even think about him without wanting to cry.
If you want something to distract your mind would you mind giving me future platonic yandere writing ideas either for the batfam or for a new oc!
God, you caught me off guard with this one 😭
Mmm, I haven’t thought that deeply about it yet, so I’m just gonna say whatever comes to mind right now.
One concept I have thought about before is a neglected reader!child actor. Especially if one of their shows is something Disney-like, since that really emphasizes their childish and youthful side. Right now the show I’m picturing is Violetta (probably because I’m listening to one of the songs right now LMAO). Or maybe something less childish and more teen-oriented, like Skins.
I can totally imagine the Batfam realizing that other people got to watch you grow up. An entire film set watched you become who you are, while they — your actual family — missed all of it. The closest thing they have are the episodes of the show you star in, or co-star in.
It’d hurt so much watching interviews where you’re sitting with the actors who play your family, seeing how naturally close you are with them. The bloopers, the inside jokes, the little knowing looks. They realize you’re part of an entire world they lost access to a long time ago.
Now—
Whenever I think about the isekai trope, I always picture this OC.
Someone who’s given a second chance at life — the chance to eventually return to their original world — in exchange for completing a mission in the DC universe. Whether they’re experienced in combat or not is up to each person, but personally I think it adds SO much drama when the Batfam sees a child casually walk out of Professor Pyg’s hideout completely unharmed… while Pyg himself is trapped inside one of his own cages. Nobody suspects it was you, because like… who would suspect a kid?
Let’s say they temporarily adopt you until they can find you a proper family. What was supposed to be one or two months turns permanent for one reason or another. Of course, you assume the entity that gave you the mission is subtly manipulating things to increase your chances of success.
Now imagine this OC is already a yandere. A yandere for someone — or several people — back in their original world. So they genuinely could not care less about the Batfam or anyone in the DC universe. They just want to go home. Back to their yanderes, back to the people they love obsessively.
So they grow up patiently. Quietly. Training, waiting, preparing for the moment they’ll finally have to act. And if the family neglects them during that time? They don’t care. Their eyes are fixed entirely on the mission.
Even when the family eventually feels guilty for neglecting them — for adopting them and still failing to give them even a shred of affection — the OC genuinely does not care. The mission date gets closer, and eventually the Batfam realizes this kid isn’t normal at all, especially if they have superhuman abilities.
And if the Batfam tries to detain them? Whether out of suspicion, guilt, or fear?
The OC is fully prepared to fight back.
Actually, now that I think about it, this concept has insane crossover fic potential. Literally any action anime, comic, or series could fit into this setup.
Anyway, that’s all I’ve got in my head right now (╹ڡ╹ )
"God, if she ever found out from the outside just how badly her leaving destabilized the whole family, she’d be rolling around in satisfaction seeing them all that delulu"
That picture appeared in my head.
LMAOOO THAT’S EXACTLY HER REACTION She’s so happy she finally managed to hurt them somehow — even unintentionally — that she doesn’t realize how badly it’s about to blow up in her face 😭

I also write my fan fiction about batfam, but I don’t think you might like it. and there’s only 1(1-2;1-3) chapter 👉👈. and I am very shy to tell the truth to distribute it, so I usually say this in a fleeting way. because every time I do something funny with what I’ve written. and when I say "funny" I mean "everything is so bad that it’s even good". (At least that’s how I see my work, in general it’s always true.)
If you wanna send me the link, I’d be more than happy to read it 😭 Anything that can make me laugh is welcome right now. I’m so anxious waiting for the results of my last midterm from this morning that I’d genuinely sit through the entire Zack Snyder DCU just to think about literally anything else
How reader feels after when they do crash out on the batfam
Look okay they are funny and we need more memes to lighten the mood
YES—.
God, if she ever found out from the outside just how badly her leaving destabilized the whole family, she’d be rolling around in satisfaction seeing them all that delulu
I’m making a Yandere Jason slasher fic on my side blog would you like me to tag you once I finish it personally I think you’d really enjoy it
PAKSJA THANK YOUUU 😭💕💕 I’d genuinely love that. Lately I’ve been trying to find fanfics that break away a little from the usual stuff, so if you think it’s something I’d enjoy, I’d absolutely love for you to tag me 🙂↕️💕💕
Thank you so much for thinking of me and keeping me in mind 🤧💕💕💕

All I could think of during that argument scene in the house after the reader "died" in the unfair series was that image that is just "Whole house mad 🤣"
LMAOOO I swear to god this is literally the first time I’ve ever heard of or seen this meme 😭 The different versions of it are so insanely good, I was laughing for a solid while.
May I ask how you do the character analysis? are there any tips? just that your analyses seem very good. I always think, "If you think about it, they would." :D
Thank you so much!!! I really do try to stick to canon as much as I possibly can.
Welllll, there’s not really a strict order to how I do my analyses. I think the very first step is honestly to forget everything you think you know about the character. Like, everything you’ve seen online or in fandom spaces, because most of the time those are personal interpretations and not really objective takes (especially in fanfics or headcanons).
Then I try to look for official sources first. Maybe the character’s wiki, and if it’s a comic character and you have no idea where to even start (which was literally me at first), you can look up recommended comics for beginners to understand the character better. For Batman, the comics that kept showing up over and over again were stuff like Batman: Year One, Batman and Robin: Year One, The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, and a bunch of others.
And when you read comics, I think it’s important to look a little deeper than just what’s directly shown and question everything. Why did they make this decision? Why did they choose that solution when there were other options? How do they react under stress? How do they handle trauma? How does it affect their relationships and the way they interact with the people closest to them?
Of course, unless you have an actual psychology degree, our interpretations are rarely gonna be 100% perfectly canon-accurate 😭 so it also helps a lot if you can find videos from actual psychologists analyzing the character and explaining certain disorders or behaviors in a more grounded way and how those traits would realistically affect their daily life.
On the other hand, if comics really aren’t your thing, I’d say try following adaptations that are generally considered faithful to the character. For Batman, most fans tend to agree that Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Caped Crusader are really faithful to Bruce’s core characterization.
And honestly, the more time you dedicate to researching and analyzing, the more accurate your interpretation will probably become. You also have to remember that canon material contradicts itself constantly. These characters have existed for over 50 years, they’ve been rebooted, rewritten, and reinterpreted a million times. But humans contradict themselves all the time too, so you kinda have two choices:
Either you try to follow absolutely everything DC currently says is canon (which changes every five business days 😭), or you build your own understanding of the character based on your research and accept all parts of them — the good, the bad, and even the contradictions — and treat those contradictions as opportunities to analyze the character even more deeply. And if you’re writing a fanfic, those contradictions can even become opportunities for character growth.
I honestly think a good fanfic isn’t just about how “accurate” the characterization is, but about how well the character develops throughout the story. Especially if the story explores a more flawed or complicated side of them and actually allows them to grow from it.
Anyway, I’m still pretty new to doing super in-depth character analysis myself. I literally only started doing this kind of detailed breakdown with the Nightwing yandere concept. Before writing fanfics I always made little psychological profiles for characters, but I’d never done research this intense or detailed before this past week.
So maybe my analysis process still needs some refining, but this is basically what I do right now when I’m writing these character concepts.
I hope I explained myself well and that this was helpful at least a little bit (╯▽╰ )💕💕💕
Pookie the way you characterize Bruce is so delicious!!!!!!!
(I really missed your writing!!!!!)
Omg thank you so much pookieee 😭💕 I genuinely put a lot of effort into trying to cover Bruce’s whole psychological profile because there’s seriously SO much to analyze and even theorize about when it comes to that man.
He has so many issues, and also a bunch of symptoms from disorders that were never really “confirmed” canonically, but you can absolutely build theories around them. Plus there are so many tiny canon details that contribute to both his personality and his yandere tendencies.
Right now I’m working on Damian’s analysis, but there’s been so much new content for him over the past few years. Stuff that really adds to the person Damian has become today, and honestly it changed my perspective on him a little.
I really, really wanna explore this side of Damian more in my others fanfics too 😿💕💕💕
Have you ever thought of opening a ko-fi? Like a way for ppl to support ur writing? :>
You must be like the fourth person to tell me this in my askbox already, and honestly I’m really flattered 😭💕💕💕
I genuinely don’t think my writing is that good to the point where people would actually pay for it, but the fact that you guys even consider the idea means a lot to me.
Maybe someday I’ll actually do it, if only for the laughs and because I’m really curious whether ko-fi even works in my country 😭 but for now I haven’t taken the idea too seriously.
Still, thank you so much. I’m really, really flattered (╯▽╰ )💕

This ask is from like two days ago and now that things have finally calmed down a little, I can actually answer it properly: yeah, I did see the list 😭 (it’s literally been almost everything I’ve read these past few days in the yan batfam tag).
I didn’t really say anything about it because this isn’t the first time something like this has happened in the fandom, and honestly, just like the occasional hate comments I get, I’d rather not give attention to people who are clearly looking for it. This one was painfully obvious ragebait too, which made me want to talk about it even less 😭
What is funny though is how much more active the yandere batfam tag has gotten now. Writers and stories I hadn’t seen in forever suddenly came back because of this whole thing, and even authors who got hit with negative criticism started posting for their stories again. Instead of getting discouraged, they came back even more motivated to create for the fandom. Lmao I love you all so much, seriously keep going.
If this was somehow supposed to be an attempt at getting attention and reviving the tag, then honestly… I gotta admit it worked lmao.
I think the word that defines Batman the most is fear. Fear is his ally whenever he patrols Gotham, but at the same time, it’s also his worst enemy and most loyal companion ever since he was eight years old.
I think people seriously underestimate just how deeply Bruce was scarred by what happened in Crime Alley. Even he says Bruce Wayne died that night and Batman was born; someone who didn’t just want justice for his parents, but someone who wanted to make sure nobody else would ever go through what he did.
Obviously, he doesn’t know how to handle grief.
The way he perfected his alter ego to the point of creating an entirely separate psychological profile so nobody could connect him to Bruce Wayne — to the point where even in his own head he refers to himself as Batman instead of Bruce — says a lot about someone who is absolutely obsessed and unhinged when it comes to achieving his goals.
For Batman, there’s not a single day where he forgets his parents’ tragedy, because it’s his way of remembering why he fights. But at the same time, he punishes himself with it every single day to the point where guilt interferes with his daily life and even his ability to picture a future for himself.
For Bruce — Batman — it’s not that he didn’t expect to be happy. It’s that he fully counted on never being happy at all.
I could literally write an entire book about him and all the disorders, symptoms, and layers behind his psychological profile.
But how does all of that translate into a Yandere?
Bruce — Batman — is canonically paranoid. Most of the time he prepares for things other people would consider impossible, but not him; and he mainly does it out of fear. Maybe fear of losing control over a situation, fear of losing the people he loves, or maybe something even deeper.
But he’s also a control freak to a genuinely unhealthy degree, where losing relationships becomes secondary to maintaining control.
Batman is canonically obsessive. He already has the foundation to become a yandere in canon; all that changes is that the obsession gets redirected toward someone.
There are different stages once the “symptoms” start showing.
Pre-Yandere:
It starts without him even realizing it. One day he’s investigating you and building a file about you on the Batcomputer because somehow, you caught his attention.
While stalking you through that investigation, he starts noticing little traits and habits that, in his eyes, are genuinely good qualities.
Personally, I think deep down Batman doesn’t really believe people can change, because he himself never changed. Ever since he was eight years old, his convictions and philosophy have remained the same. That’s why when Jason came back, he refused to give up on him — because Bruce believes people have a core essence that never truly changes, just like him. Honestly, that probably also contributed to all the fights he had with Dick during his teenage years. Anyway. My point is: he saw something in you worth protecting. A part of you he believes can’t be corrupted or changed, and for some reason he becomes deeply attached to it.
At some point, he stops watching you because of the investigation and starts doing it simply because he wants to.
If you’re a civilian, he’ll become weirdly attached to your quiet, ordinary life. He’ll envy it more than anything. If you’re a vigilante or involved with crime somehow, he’ll tell himself he’s only covering your back while he investigates you.
He even interacts with you once or twice. Most likely by getting you out of trouble and sternly telling you to go home immediately, while silently escorting you all the way back.
It doesn’t take him long to realize he’s constantly thinking about you and becoming unusually concerned for your safety. And then comes the denial — or worse, the moment he realizes you actually make him happy, even just a little, and he immediately tries to cut all contact.
He’s someone who doesn’t allow himself happiness because he believes it would interfere with his mission; and if you’re a civilian, he’d be especially resistant. He’d think about your safety and how much of a mistake it would be to involve you in his life.
Obviously, that doesn’t last very long because this man is obsessive down to the bone. Going “no contact” with his obsession feels like withdrawal symptoms. Eventually he realizes constantly thinking about you is affecting his work and he can’t function properly anymore.
So he convinces himself he can kill two birds with one stone. Watching over you calms him down, and at the same time, it’s basically free protection for you. Totally harmless… at first.
But obviously he can’t spend all his patrol time lurking around your neighborhood. That’s basically painting a neon sign over your head that says “Batman is interested in me.” He’s subtler than that.
So instead, he installs cameras in your home and hacks nearby Gotham security systems.
He knows perfectly well he’s violating laws and your most basic human rights by doing this. But if he cared more about laws than his own judgment, he wouldn’t be running around Gotham dressed like a bat in the first place.
Yandere:
I think he’d watch you for a very long time.
He figures you out completely. Every habit, every thought pattern, your flaws, your virtues. He sees everything, and he surprises himself when he realizes he likes almost all of it. And that’s saying something, because Bruce is extremely critical by nature.
Almost.
Because he thinks your choice of relationships and support system is terrible. He feels like you give way too much to people who barely think about you half as much as you think about them. It’s not normal to spend so much time alone, reading and fantasizing about love. People who are emotionally cared for don’t fantasize about love like that, you know?
I mean, he’s practically a stranger in your life, and yet he can confidently say he cares more about your wellbeing than all those people combined.
Batman has a lot of flaws, and it’s not that he doesn’t recognize them — he just ignores them completely as long as they don’t interfere with his mission. One of those flaws is that he can be incredibly condescending. Genuinely, without any bias in his own mind, he believes his analysis of a situation and his chosen solution are always the correct ones.
So naturally, he concludes the best thing for you would be to distance yourself from those people completely.
Think about it from his perspective: he barely knows you, yet if you were in danger or needed anything, he’d help you without hesitation. Like… a decent person should. Isn’t that the bare minimum? Meanwhile, people who claim to love you would hesitate before lifting a finger for your sake.
That doesn’t make sense to him.
At some point, he genuinely starts thinking he loves you more than they do.
…Oh.
And that’s the exact moment he realizes just how bad things have gotten.
He tries convincing himself it’s just a phase. Maybe he’s getting older and this is just some pathetic attempt at redemption by being overly altruistic toward one struggling civilian. I mean, he’s already stupidly altruistic toward Gotham itself, so what’s wrong with helping one person who especially needs him?
He tells himself that once you’re okay — once he’s sure you’re truly okay — he’ll stop worrying about you and go back to how things used to be. His life will finally be under control again.
Pffff, yeah, sure.
Important things to note:
Once he accepts that he loves you — that what he feels really is love — expect him to fight it for a while. Bruce doesn’t give up without a fight.
He weighs the pros and cons constantly, and as long as his affection remains “harmless,” he convinces himself it’s not really hurting anyone.
At the end of the day, you don’t love what you don’t protect, right? And Bruce knows he can protect you. He genuinely believes he loves you more than anyone else ever could. That’s not insecurity talking — he watched your life for months. He truly believes nobody sees you the way he does.
This isn’t even an unfamiliar mindset to him. Plenty of people — even League members or Gotham citizens — don’t understand why he dedicates his life to this cursed city. They see it as insanity or unconditional love. Bruce chooses to believe it’s the second one: an act of love.
He knows his methods aren’t normal, and sometimes he makes mistakes, but nothing he does for you is malicious in his mind. He genuinely believes it’s for the best.
One thing you can absolutely expect from him is financial stability. Out of nowhere. Even before kidnapping ever becomes a possibility.
I can totally see him stepping in as Bruce Wayne and offering you a scholarship, a stipend, or some exclusive social aid program specifically designed for you.
He’s paranoid and extreme. He’s still terrified of losing the people he loves because, once again, he has no idea how to process grief. You can expect him to distrust your family, your friends, and basically anyone close to you. He’ll even make contingency plans to get rid of them if he deems it necessary.
And let me clarify something here, because I’ll keep repeating it forever: I genuinely don’t think Bruce — or even most of the Batfamily — being yandere automatically means they’d completely abandon their moral code. Especially Bruce.
He has an almost phobic hatred of guns and people who kill with them. Yes, he breaks laws. Yes, he allows vigilantism because he believes Gotham needs it. But all of that operates under one condition: they cannot become the same monsters they fight against.
Bruce fights because he doesn’t want anyone else to suffer like he did, yes — but also because it’s the only way he feels connected to his parents. The only way he can cope with the guilt of not saving them and convince himself they’d still be proud of him.
People underestimate what money can accomplish.
Need to separate you from your family? Surprise! You’ve been selected for a prestigious full scholarship abroad — fully paid, but only for one person. Or maybe your parents suddenly receive a career opportunity overseas instead. In more extreme scenarios, he doesn’t even need to get rid of them physically; he just needs them to believe you’re gone.
He’ll explore every possible route before even considering killing.
The only scenario where Bruce would ever pick up a gun is if it came down to your life or death.
And if you’re wondering: “Wouldn’t he care what his parents would think of all this?”
Bruce genuinely believes what he’s doing is necessary. Everything he does is motivated by love for you, and in his mind none of it is malicious. He would never make a reckless decision unless he was fully convinced it was the right thing to do.
That’s my interpretation of him, at least.
Moving on...
Just because Bruce loves you doesn’t mean he trusts you.
Earning his trust would take years — maybe even decades of flawless behavior. I’m not exaggerating.
For a paranoid detective like him, honesty is everything. If you hide something from him, not only will he find out immediately, but his trust in you will plummet. Meanwhile, if you’re transparent and upfront, the opposite happens.
He’s also terrible with emotional vulnerability and confrontation. So if you approach him patiently, communicate your feelings clearly, and initiate difficult conversations yourself, you’ll earn a lot of points with him.
During the first months of captivity, he’d be deeply conflicted internally. His fear of attachment would clash violently with his selfishness and love for you.
During that period, he’d act strangely around you. He wants to hold you, spend time with you — he genuinely aches for it — but guilt and fear hit him hard too. You’ll get used to him seeming mentally absent even while sitting right next to you.
But don’t try to take advantage of those moments. He’ll notice immediately, and his reactions can be extreme.
If he hurt you before captivity and you’re genuinely angry at him, he’ll understand. The guilt will eat him alive. Bruce is brutally critical of himself. If you constantly remind him of his mistakes every time you see him, he might disappear for weeks because he’s genuinely ashamed of facing you.
Of course, he’ll still try compensating you for everything he’s done wrong. But his stance won’t change — if he believes confinement is what’s best for you, then that’s final.
Depending on whether he’s a Platonic or Romantic Yandere, some things change.
Platonic Bruce is far more authoritarian. He has experience raising troubled children, and considering how many he’s nearly lost, his need for control becomes overwhelming. He’ll decide what’s best for you regardless of your age.
Romantic Bruce, meanwhile, is more permissive. He has a doctorate in psychology; he knows trust is essential in a relationship. Even if he doesn’t fully trust you, he desperately wants you to trust him. Honestly, he fantasizes about it — about you relying on him completely and seeing him as your hero.
Actually, that applies to both versions.
Bruce wants to be your personal hero. That idealized figure you trust and expect the best from. He knows he’s made mistakes, but the fact you still believe in him gives him hope that he can become better.
Bruce is stubborn down to his core. He genuinely doesn’t care if you reject his affection for years. He’ll continue loving you endlessly with the hope that one day you’ll return those feelings. Simply knowing you’re safe and cared for is enough for him. Your affection would just be a luxury.
As for the way he loves…
Surprisingly, he doesn’t force you to accept his affection or return it. (He fully believes Stockholm Syndrome will eventually kick in, but ignoring that for a second.) His love isn’t suffocating… unless you want it to be. And trust me, he’ll notice if you do.
This is obvious, but gifts are absolutely his main love language. Bruce has the resources to give you literally anything you could ever want, and he knows you almost as well as he knows himself. He’ll notice your desires even when you try hiding them.
That naturally overlaps with acts of service. He’ll constantly try to make your life easier and accommodate your needs.
Like I said before, aside from killing, Bruce would do almost anything for you without hesitation. His love is unconditional. And honestly, he’s so damaged and guilt-ridden that part of him truly doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved back.
But if you do return his affection?
You’re basically living the spoiled millionaire dream life.
Maybe after many years he’d eventually give you your freedom back, but by that point Stockholm Syndrome would already have rooted itself deeply enough that Bruce fully believes you’d come back to him willingly.
As for how terrifying I think he is?
A solid 9.
People really underestimate how stubborn and patient this man can be. Like I said, he’s extreme, but he’ll never intentionally hurt you. There are very few things he wouldn’t do for your sake, and while murder is one of those lines he won’t cross, everything else becomes a massive gray area to him — especially if he believes it benefits you.
If you return his affection, Bruce — Batman — could actually become weirdly endearing as a yandere. He’s an incredible provider.
But he is also completely prepared to impose himself onto your life and strip away your human rights the moment he believes it’s “necessary” or “correct.”
Available Batfamily yandere concepts: Batman ; Nightwing ; Robin ; Red Hood coming soon...
Better late than never, right?
I genuinely thought this would be the easiest analysis to write because there’s so much Batman content to work with, but that ended up being the problem too. There’s just so much to analyze 😭.
I was originally going to post this last night, but I decided to dig even deeper into the character than I already had, and honestly? I don’t regret it at all.
Next up is Damian Wayne! If it doesn’t get posted tonight, it’ll definitely be up tomorrow. No promises though — I have a Trigonometry exam tomorrow, and after posting this I’m absolutely locking in to study
