So here's what I'm thinking. Over and Over et encore et encore déjà :

Of course I don't take jokes as well as I'd like to. Especially the ones that play on feelings of abandonment of forgetfulness. Even when I seem to play along it looks like I've takenn it personally.

But I say 'of course' mainly because of my mom's reception of jokes. And my sister's. They both get offended to some degree and sometimes ask not to say it again after asking what I meant by it. They don't ask until DAYS after sometimes. Living with them, i found it annoying. Until the air was tense. Chuckling to a joke I found that I'd share but ultimately deciding to keep it to myself. Most times.

I'd never laugh at my sister's jokes too long. They were a lack of taste most times. My mother's were funny, vut as time grew and her random outbursts I decided not to bond for long over the small jokes that she could crack.

Now, I'm living with my fiancé, the sweetest man I've ever met; a joking menace when he wants to be. . . But I fear I'm becoming too joke sensitive. Like my mom or sister. And I grudge myself for that.
