ryanaim post canon hcs part 2 (part 1)
- ryan and naim's nails are both perpetually fucked-up short. ryan bc he works with his hands and they naturally get chipped and ground down, naim bc he's fidgety and anxious and his nails/cuticles are always the first casualty
- and hes baddd with it like he constantly picks to the point of bleeding puffy red almost-infection and it makes ryan genuinely upset when he notices bc?? you're hurting yourself cunt stop
- whenever he notices naim doing it he holds his hand to make him stop. naim absentmindedly plays with ryan's fingers/rings instead. Overtime this conditions naim so his first instinct when he's anxious is to reach for ryan's hand
- (their friends witness this behaviour once out in public. something innocuous has naim a little anxious and without thinking he tugs ryan's hand into his lap and just starts playing with his fingers and rings like its a fidget toy. ryan doesnt even bat an eye and continues conversation as if its not happening. their friends hate them and their codependent asses)
- i feel like naim' fidgeting also extends to a mindless oral fixation. chewing on pens and hoodie strings, mangling straws till no liquid comes through anymore. Naim has the nervous system of a prey animal he'll die if he doesnt fidget
- though technically they have their own clothes pretty quickly out of bandee their wardrobe merges completely and they dont draw a hard line between my clothes your clothes. theyre broke so they dont waste money on new clothes often, but if they ever get new stuff its always things they can share between them
- however they both still have their own style and certain shirts/pants they wear more often than the other. ryan loves his flannels and tanks, naim is more partial to the few hoodies they own. But ryan can't wear any of naim's pants that aren't comically baggy bc their inseam is too different.
- early days they often sneak into cinemas by showing up late and nonchalantly walking in. all the cinema staff are gen z and dgaf abt validating tickets so it works every time
- unfortunately them being menances in public was not a one time thing the hoyts recliners have been privy to things no hoyts recliner should be privy to (ryan pls keep ur hands off of naim for the duration of 1 movie jfc)
