this is a "secret santa" style fic exchange. participant A writes for participant B, participant B writes for participant C, and so on. the word count range is 2.5k - 5k words!

this exchange is hosted on ao3 because it has an auto-matching system, so you must have an account + be logged in to sign up.

alwaysss thinking about the entity preying on ryans want to be in public with naim and see naim unabashed, unafraid of their relationship and of it being perceived. the scene where ryan is attacked in the bathroom, the same ear that was between naims lips now torn to shreds, and ryan is so clearly hurt that naim wouldn't meet him even in a more private space. naim being so guilty he tells ryan to stay away and ryan forgiving him anyway, begging him to stay. throughout the entire plot of leviticus ryan wants naim to be present in their relationship with him, but also craves getting to publicly be together without fear of rejection from those who raised him, those who were perfectly nice to him before they found him out.

the first year after bandee is hard, but worth it for the the tentative realization between them that while the entity will forever follow them, they do not have to fear each other. the warmth of naims arm brushing his isn't hot like a brand but a simmer of something fizzy and electric. naim holds his hand on buses, starts to kiss him, daring in between aisles at the shops. its worth all of the pain, the fear, all of it when naim lets ryan keep a hand on the small of his back, even leans into him on a night out with either of their friends. worth it all when he gets naim, gets to be good to him. gets to love.
