* Van Gogh- Download appropriate Photoshop brushes and apply them to one of your photos to achieve an effect similar to Van Gogh’s swirls and brushstrokes.
* Degas- Create movement in an image by experimenting with some of the Blur Tools.
The last image is a rough draft of what my Art Nouveau poster would look like - I decided to use the character Ariel due to the fact that her hair and tail contain many thin, thick and wavy lines. The whole Under The Sea atmosphere would also go well with Art Nouveau due to the many different sea creatures and plants.
My Mondrian inspired piece using vertical and horizontal lines as well as block colours, the primary colours - red, blue and yellow.
Mondrian's work {Second photo} has the basic characteristics of black and white, primary colours + horizontal and vertical lines.
The third photo are photos I've taken and added in a similar style to Mondrian's work with photoshop techniques and the changing of highlight and shadow colours to fit the theme of using primary colours.

Mondrian inspired piece done via Photoshop using the Paint Bucket tool, selection box as well as the ruler and grid.
My file size was originally 8.5 x 11.25" but after, I decided to keep it the same at 8.5 for both height and width to create a box shape to match the theme of using boxes inside the piece.
Bauhaus
Timescale: 1919 - 1933
Manifesto - 1919
Main Points:
Art should have a social purpose that would break down the barrier between fine art and craft.
They wanted to train designers to understand the industrial process and form simplification to geometric forms for serialisation.
They revolutionised the way art is taught as well as modern design which is influenced today.
Just after the First World War, Germany was in need of economic recovery.
The work was influenced by De Stijl as he reduced visual elements to vertical and horizontal lines.
It was also inspired by Constructivism as this was based on the idea that art should serve society.
Cubism as there were multiple view points and geometric components.
The last inspiration was from Futurism as there was included speed dynamics and repetition.
Mondrian was optimistic that Modern Art could change the world as they had just come out of the war.
Rodchenko's pieces were energetic with diagonal lines and linked to Proporganda which were political messages in forms of advertisements such as posters.
Most of the work was red due to the revolutionary communists.
Denoation of modern furniture - most chairs today had horizonal and/or vertical lines and many business chairs are plain in colour, this is inspired and based on Mondrian's work.
The Themes and Concerns were that art was to become a responsible activity.
Architecture was to be the mother of all arts.
The building designed to make people's lives easier and happier that was well functioning.
There was a beautiful environment for a classless society.
Craft Guilds were formed for apprentices only so there were no "students"
There was also a reduction to essentials for machine production.

Impressionism and Pointilism Photoshop Task
Photoshop Task
This was the original image I took in Hyde Park during the London Trip.
I duplicated the original image layer and decreased the opacity of the copy so that both layers would be slightly blended.
To get the first filter, I used the "Oil Paint" filter;
Afterwards, I messed around with the settings until I was satisfied with the outcome.
After the first filter, the image turned out just like the filter described as a sort of "Oily" texture.
But it still looked somewhat digital which isn't exactly the look I'm going for so I added in another layer and repeated but this time going to the "Filter Gallery"
I tried a range of different filters under the "Artistic" folder until I was satisfied with one of them;
I ended up blending both Watercolor and Underpainting as my secondary filters.
After, I duplicated the layer again and moved it to the left slightly, decreasing the opacity to 3/4 so that it looked like it has blended only lightly.

FUTURIST IMAGE - LAYERED MOVEMENT IMAGE
* Monet- Experiment with Photoshop Filters. You can layer up the images using several filters.
CUBIST IMAGE PHOTO COLLAGE
The colour scheme within this image is split complementary as it uses a variation of the complementary colour wheel. As it's an image of the forest it gives you a sort of "At loss" feeling with how muted the colours are.
The colour scheme in this piece is Triad as it uses colours that are evenly spaced out within the colour wheel and is very vibrant to the eye. The image as it's bright also is rather unsettling to the eyes and makes you feel a little out of place.
The colour scheme here is warm and is split complementary because it contains two colours adjacent to it's complement.
It gives off a more major feeling than the previous piece as the colours are bright and warm to the eyes.

The colour scheme within this piece is complementary because the two colours sit opposite each other in the colour wheel.
It gives off a minor feeling to the audience as the characters look sad whilst blue is a calming yet sad-like colour to give off this tonality.
Colour Task
The Primary Colours are Red, Yellow and Blue and the Secondary Colours – Orange, Violet and green.
A tertiary colour is a primary plus a neighboring secondary. Hue is what distinguishes one color from another. In effect it is the generic name for the color - red, say, as opposed to blue.
Value, or the tone, is the relative lightness or darkness of a color. A color with added white is called a tint and a color with added black is called a shade.
Monochromatic;
A monochromatic color scheme is a one-color color scheme. Black and white can also be used to darken and lighten the value of the color.
Complementary;
Complementary colors are two colors which sit opposite each other on the color wheel. They are often used together in a composition to create excitement. Each colour in the pair makes the other seem more vibrant.
Analogous;
Analogous colours are those which sit next to each other on the color wheel. Analogous colors "harmonize" well and produce a definite mood to a composition.
Split Complementary;
The split-complementary color scheme is a variation of the complementary color scheme. In addition to the base color, it uses the two colors adjacent to its complement. This color scheme has the same strong visual contrast as the complementary color scheme, but has less tension.
Triad;
A triadic color scheme uses colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel. Triadic color schemes tend to be quite vibrant, even if you use pale or unsaturated versions of your hues.
