I'm pro abortion. Not just pro choice. If someone asks for my honest opinion, I will always ask if she's sure she has enough information, resources (including time and mental health), a decent partner, friends and family who would help out, if she knows what could happen to her physically speaking, if she's prepared for a sick or disabled child...

Essentially, to me, you have two choices that make sense:

1) fully informed consent, a plan, actively wanting to have a child

2) abortion.

Anything else is irrational.

So I'd end up at least mentioning (if not recommending) abortion to anyone, if I were asked.

Every time women adapt in order to overcome the strength disparity between us and men as a way to defend ourselves in a worst case scenario or avoid danger altogether... That adaptation comes to be seen as a sign of cowardice by men.

I dunno, men trying to socially punish women for not playing their honor games when they've never acted honorably towards us has been pissing me off as of late.

disagree with gay/black/female conservatives if you must, but don’t patronize them by assuming they have derived their political views from emotional bids for acceptance rather than by using their brain. gay/black/female people have brains too, just like straight white male conservatives do.

go ahead and cancel me but everyone needs to be more normal about gay and black and female conservatives. its homophobic/racist/sexist to presume that they are only adopting those beliefs in order to be accepted by or or to appease straight people/white people/men. just disagree with their beliefs and assertions rather than instead asserting that they don’t even believe their own assertions and making assumptions about their reason for being conservative. because they couldn’t possibly have used their brain to read and intake information and come to a personal conclusion right?

because when a straight white man is a conservative, even if we disagree with him, we presume that he is a conservative because he agrees with conservative politics over liberal politics due to his personal beliefs, values, opinions, experiences, etc.

but when a gay/black/female person is a conservative, it is presumed by many that there is no way they weighed their options and used their own brain and their own judgement to decide that they agree with conservative politics over liberal politics due to their personal beliefs, values, opinions, experiences, etc., but instead, they must be driven by an emotional plea for acceptance from the mainstream, despite being openly conservative often earning them ridicule, exile, and open hatred from fellow gay/black/female people.

gay/black/female people have brains, let’s assume that they use them to form their own opinions. even if you 100 billion percent disagree with their political views, it is so patronizing and offensive to gay/black/female people to act like just by the nature of being born a certain way, we must believe a certain way, and if we don’t, it isn’t because we actually have opposing beliefs, we are just pretending to have different beliefs for acceptance. it’s unfair that straight white men get to have any combination of political opinions and it’s assumed that they actually believe their own assertions and opinions, but gay/black/female people aren’t even afforded the benefit of the doubt that we believe our OWN assertions and opinions.

i’m not a conservative nor defending conservative political views btw although i’m sure everyone will assume that. i don’t care. just pointing out the liberal homophobia/racism/sexism that I see directed towards conservatives who happen to be gay black or female. this is related to terfdom though because as a lesbian who is against gender ideology they do use this same thing against us

I don’t know if anyone’s ever felt like this, but I really wish god was real. Like a loving, actual god following the words of Jesus Christ. It’s just way too perfect. Like okay you are capable of infinite love, we have a plan and purpose, and if we are good we go to heaven to be reunited with everyone whose died? Heaven and hell, in my opinion, are the clearest indications that religion is man made. Like it’s just motivation to get us to be nice and then we get a happy ending, if we bad we go to the bad place!! Like ok man. I’m sure that’s real.

I’ve been becoming more involved in volunteer work and unsurprisingly I encounter a lot of Christians. They are always kind and happy, and never ask me about my believes. I wonder if it would just be easier to lie to myself and try to pretend there is some greater being who loves me and is with me so I can be more sane and get more irl human connection. Idk. At the very least, I do genuinely enjoy the lessons from the Bible (not the random bullshit / talking about beating slaves obviously, but it has many good statements about life and being). I’m also lucky that I live in a very progressive state in a city, so they actually use religion for good.

Jesus is assumed to be less misogynistic than many in his time because he had many women as patrons. Yet Paul shaped that religion and the later branches to be very misogynistic and homophobic.

I don't recommend getting into abrahamisms. You'll lose more than you will gain.

I'm happy you found a group that cherrypicks so their religion looks decent, but it's not worth it.

one thing that I’ve realised with censoring curse words is that they’ll censor words like “fuck” and “shit” but leave “bitch” and “whore” completely uncensored. I was listening to a censored version of a song today, the word “fuck” was censored. “Bitch” was not. Listen to any censored song, watch any censored film/show and count how many times the word “bitch” is censored. I can guarantee you that it’ll never be censored the way “ass” and “asshole” are. I don’t really give a shit if bitch means female dog. Absolutely nobody, no MAN is using it in a scientific way. Men are so used to referring to us as bitches that they don’t even feel the need to censor it because that’s what we are to them.

The problem with liberal “equality” feminism is that it sees femininity and masculinity as morally neutral, natural alignments. Created equal. Just two sets of behaviors and expectations, and the real problem is just that people are restricted to one of these at a time when they should be free to ~play with gender~.

There’s no acknowledgment that the expectations and trappings of femininity are intended to turn their adherent into an object, while masculinity is about empowerment, grooming an oppressive class. They’re not created equal!

Femininity is about restricting movement, mandatory time and money investments into ever-changing beauty rituals, being small and subservient and accommodating. It’s literally about becoming a decoration. The fact that men don’t have as much access to a clearly oppressive role is not the problem here! The fact that they are being taught violence and to repress their humanity in order to subjugate women, over whom they are told they are inherently superior, is definitely more of a problem!

Essentializing gender as morally neutral instead of the framework through which women’s oppression is carried out is the worst possible thing for feminism.
