Once they all agreed on him not being a Knight, he cried a bit louder. "M-maybe you're right... I don't have my armor anymore, it's lost... Just like my King... Like my name..."
It is all continued till he heard a familiar voice... "S-Sherma?? I... I'll... Try to... I don't know... I'm such a coward... What should I do? Is there..." he wanted to ask, before getting the answer from his memory.

When Hegemol left the Spire, instead of trying to find someone who knows about the wedding, he moved on to his hidden workshop at the King's Station. Only he and the others of the Five had a key to it.
He opened the door when no one was looking and entered. Everything was already covered in dust and the lumafly was no longer working. What a sad place. He closed the door, took off his armor and curled down on his bed.
That was a harsh strike for him. He felt... Empty. Mayhaps he should try and move on? The King is dead anyway, it's impossible to bring him back... Hegemol should stop mourning him, and yet...

Dryya walks hastily through the corridors, holding papers snd reports. She seemed stressed about everything. That the king is gone is very dreadful, but when she spots her friend her thoughts went elsewhere. She sits down next to Hegemol and hugs him with a kiss on the cheek.

"The King... I can't believe that... He's... Gone." Though he wasn't crying, one could tell the sorrow he felt... "I... He gave me everything and I couldn't prove it... I couldn't save him... I left Hallownest once he has disappeared when I should've been staying here in case he comes back! I could've protect him! And yet..."
Dryya hugs him again.
"It wasn't your fault. None of it was your fault. Yes, you could've been here to protect him, but that job was on all of us, and we all failed. Don't take all the blame."
"I can't... I don't think I would ever get that luxurious of a life if not for him..." Strangely, his voice started to sound emptier, as well as his eyes had no thought in them. "He chose me, the maggot, to be his Loyal Knight. The maggot, could you believe this?.."

"Stopping the rain was deliberate. Don't bring it back, please. There's a lot you can do now after we secure our kingdom from the Void threat the King now is. But before you return to Pharloom, I would like you to stay for something fun!"

After leaving the City rapidly, he got to the surface of Hallownest. Once he saw Dryya and the King, he ran up to them. "My King! Oh... Dryya, what happened to him?" He put his mace aside.

"I don't know, little knight. He's filled with Void. I'm trying to think. I know the Void can be removed if it's beaten out, but he'd die if we do that." Dryya grabs Hegemol's hand.
"Alright friend, why did you come here?"
"I came here to fulfill my duty as the Great Knight. The Queen told me that the King was kidnapped, so I did what I could to help you. Unfortunately, I couldn't help you at the battlefield... But I infiltrated the City with some other bugs and Hermes."
"Oh good! I assume it was you that blew everything up? You almost killed us all. But I'm glad you're here." Dryya kept tending to Lurien and the King.
"That wasn't me. All I did was to disable some mechanisms, but I do not know who caused an explosion." Heg snuggled closer to Dryya, "I'm happy that you're alive."
Dryya pets him over his helmet. But now really wasn't the time for snuggles. She removes her claw from his head and kept working on trying to save Lurien the Pulp's life.
Dryya, just to keep him happy, asks about some mechanisms he found inside.
"Oh! There was a lot of different mechanisms that left me in awe! Especially the ones that moved the City. Truly an art. I wish I could learn more about it... I'm still trying to make something that would use the same thing, but fail..."
"Have you visited my workshop? You could've seen there some scrap on the shelf, these are my unfortunate inventions. I think I understand how gears work, but... I just don't understand how it's possible to make machines move other than forward."
"Wasn't your entire suit a machine? I have visited your workshop back when I looked for you. All I saw was scrap without use."
"Yes, but it was controlled by me. I can't make something that would work by itself, even though I've got such machine from a bug in my workshop. It used something that I don't quite understand..."
"Okay then. I take it your infiltration was calm relative to our battles? I took quite the beating." Dryya admits. Her buckled armor was evidence enough of that.
The maggot went silent. The horrors he saw in there weren't as scary, because he was wearing his armor that gave him some confidence, but still cruel enough to send shivers.
"U-uhm... No, it wasn't that great and calm. We met something... Some creature made out of Void. Considering that, I'm not sure if we're safe from it... Void is much stronger than anything in this world, aside from Everbloom of course. I think we should keep these flowers close, just in case."
"Could that be what Lurien saw? The Pale King, but black? And you don't need to worry. We'd see it coming from here. We're all safe now. Would you clean off the blood from the moth, please?" Dryya hands him a cloth.
"Alright, I guess..." he took the cloth and started to accurately wipe off the blood from Lurien. The moth... How was Hermit doing? He haven't seen him in weeks. Surely, he wasn't visiting Hegemol that often even at Hallownest, but still it felt... Off.
"Dryya... I... I don't know what to do. I left Hallownest when there wasn't any sign of life, but now... Should I get all my stuff from Pharloom and come back? Or should I stay there? I don't want my friend to be alone, nor I want to stay at Pharloom. It's... Such a hard choice..."
"You could talk to your friend about it. I don't know what else to tell you. If you want to move back, then do so. It's easier to bring your friend to Hallownest than it is to bring Hallownest to your friend."

I can't stay here doing nothing while our King is in such bad condition..." he put the hand on his chin, thinking. "... Maybe if I'll do something from Everbloom petals it'll help? Powder or a cream, for example."
Dryya seems absent minded. She was thinking about her girlfriend back home. She desperately wanted to go back to her.
"There's not an everbloom left in Hallownest. I don't know where Ze'mer is, odds are she's dead. I'm afraid there's nothing we really can do. We can only alleviate the pain, and maybe squeeze some Void out of his shell? More than that requires surgery."
"Mm... I still have to try something. But since the Everbloom plan probably wouldn't work... Mayhaps I should just stay close to the King," he noticed that her mood wasn't that great. "Dryya, do you wish to go somewhere? If so, you can leave. I'll take care of him and Lurien."
"I want to go home. I want to go home to Thistle. But I can't leave!" she clenched her claws tight.
The maggot put his hands on hers and looked in her eyes, "I can handle this, you don't need to worry. Now go, if you really wish so," he said in almost soothing voice.
