Never Doubt Me.

It’s true, I’m talking about @shein-official a LOT lately. But the truth is, I’ve never been so excited about a website. I wanted to show you a few of my favorite latest picks. The great thing about @shein-official, is they have clothes for everything! It’s one of my favorite places to get dresses for weddings, auditions, & family gathering. 

I recently went to a friend’s wedding in CT, and I didn’t wanna wear a repeat outfit but I also couldn’t spend a fortune. I ended up with this for $27! WHAT?

It was lightweight, long & flowly and so easy to dance in. I felt really pretty & it was perfect for a summer wedding. That price, you really can’t go wrong. 

I’ve also been into their casual sweatshirts lately, especially since fall is in fact, upon us. My boyfriend likes to play basketball in the mornings at the local b-ball court down the street. I like to pretend I belong there too. Here’s a photo of me doing that:

Once a year, my best friend Christie and I get ourselves to Soho for an incredible spa experience at Aire Ancient Baths. This is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. When we first saw the ancient pools, I couldn’t believe this place even existed! Especially in NYC where everything feels crammed in. This luxurious coed spa is limited to 20 ppl per 2 hours, so it’s never too crowded. Bathing suits required (thank God) and inside you get use of 6 different pools (salt water, bubbling, cold pools, hot pools, lazy river pools) and a Eucalyptus steam room. 

(First image courtesy of Vogue Magazine) They have hot tea, lemon water, cold pressed towels, hair dryers, body lotion, L’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. This place is a little pricey, it’s sort of a once a year type of experience. In fact, I’ve seen they have deals every once in a while on GILT but they go fast!

I live in NYC, and we all pound the pavement all year in the hopes to take a vacation. But, when you pay rent in NYC, it’s hard to make this dream a reality. I recently went to Bermuda & wanted to shout it from the rooftops!! It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been with crystal blue water, filled with fun excursions like the Crystal Caves & snorkeling, & surrounded by the coral reef === NO SHARKS EVER. 

So here’s the deal. Jetblue flies from JFK for under $300 ROUND TRIP. It’s a 2 hour flight from NYC. WOW. I left NYC at 8 am, and by 11 am Bermuda time (1 hour ahead) I was in paradise. I stayed at an AIRBNB in Warwick which saved me a lot of money. Bermuda hotels & resorts are between $400-$900 dollars a night, so definitely look into it. 

We rented a moped and drove it all over the 20 mile island. We saw beautiful sunsets & beaches (Horseshoe Beach, Tobacco Bay, Admiralty House, Elbow Beach). Climbed to the top of The Lighthouse, explored the Crystal Caves, Snorkeled Excursion with Fantasea Diving, &  explored St. George’s parish.

We visited local favorite restaurants such as the Swizzle Inn & The Hog Penny. But... it should be noted that the grocery store & food in general is super $$$$ and you should budget food before hand. 

The taxi cabs are expensive too. Cost us about $60 dollars to get to and from the airport. Passengers with any luggage are not aloud on the busses. 

To be honest…I felt like I had shopped at all the same places for the last decade. I’m tired of going to Forever21 and H &M &  I was also worried about ordering from a company I wasn’t familiar with, and especially when the prices were so fantastic… I was skeptical. Well, I am SO glad I took the leap with SHEIN. I’ve purchases dresses I can wear to a wedding for $32 bucks… what?!! I’ve also gotten cute sweatshirts, trendy tops, and summer midi & maxi dresses. I have a feeling, Shein will be my go- to shopping outlet.

Make sure you check the reviews on sizes. Sometimes, random items run small or large, so I’ve found the reviews to be a useful tool. Especially the ones with photos.

This bohemian maxi dress is super light weight & flowy and perfect for the end of summer. I’ve worn it to auditions, lunches, and summer picnics.The details are beautiful & for $32 its a steal!
