While it feels like everyone and their mother is talking about all the craziness that went down, Ilya’s brain is stuck on a quieter moment in time: a boy — Shane Hollander — leaning all over a wall like a crutch, telling him he doesn’t have a girlfriend and sure, he might see Ilya around. A grounding cigarette that burned too quick somehow, and more freckles than he could count while it did.

Fuck, Ilya couldn’t stop thinking about him.

or, a college au. ilya spills beer on a pretty redhead, shane never stops doing his very best, and there’s voyeuristic squirrels.

“You can have everything,” Ilya continues, swallowing hard. “Everything you want.”

“You—fuck—you are everything I want,” Shane tells him, voice slightly shaking. He picks his head up just enough that their noses are touching, and looks into Ilya’s eyes to repeat, “you’re everything.”

or, shane simply needs ilya like air. and ilya loves being needed.

“I want you to kiss me,” Shane says suddenly, meeting his eyes again. Ilya seems slightly caught off guard, but truly only slightly. He tilts his head a little, humming thoughtfully, and Shane waits. 

“This is to distract me from you feeding us nonsense?”

“Maybe. No. I don’t think so, just...please?”

or, three times shane and ilya make out where they shouldn’t, and the one time they get to see it through.
