i saw someone comment “ivar ‘super fun’ stenberg” on yt and now my brain automatically just calls him “ivar ‘super fun’ stenberg”

#such fun #ivar stenberg #san jose sharks #adding more context before ppl misunderstand why this was funny to me #this is not a dig to his intelligence or English speaking abilities #and this is coming from a non-native speaker #i found it funny the same way when people make fun of native English speaking hockey players overuse generic hockey boy lines #like ‘super excited’ or ‘super fun’ or ‘super cool’#literally had seen people do the same thing to misa or dickie or mack #it’s just quite adorable that stenberg chose ‘super fun’ and someone commenting it on yt made me laugh #so it got stuck in my head #i feel like i had to clarify this bc some people were offended that they call him super stenberg #and i did just post about this super fun comment recently #and i feel like i would be one of those people that get misinterpreted bc of thus #again - if someone really genuinely made fun of his english I WOULD BE MAD TOO #but imo (at least for myself) it was more of him joining the long line of hockey players who say the same thing #and it just kinda stuck bc he is still settling into the league and with the amount of media he had been talking to #and the repetitive questions they ask anyway #i get why he won’t expound some of his answers as much and would stick to the usual answers ALL players use #anyway yes I am overthinking this #so to clarify - this was not me taking a dig on his English skills #hell - I struggle with English myself too #so there’s that #also i am NOT condoning or supporting people calling him super stenberg #i get how offensive that is #i’m just explaining my part bc i did post this and just thought it was a harmless typical comment the same way ppl do when other guys say #the same repetitive generic lines
