I used to have those when I was a kid. I had the markers, I had crayons and even the colored pencils. They were the best things to have come out. I also had this one set with paints and watercolors. I don't have them anymore but this brought back those little small memories for me.

really? i never did. i had, like, crayola markers and stuff but i always got them all over my fingers and made a mess. so i usually stuck with crayons. sometimes colored pencils if i had the patience. i had one of those sets too, or something like it! i feel like owning one is a right of passage as a kid.

there is nothing wrong with a little bit of coloring to pass the time when nothing else is happening. what kind of coloring books did they get you were they those random ones with those color by the numbers or something else?

i agree, thank you for validating me. in fact, i'd even say there's nothing wrong with coloring at any time, no matter what. can't imagine a single situation i couldn't make better by coloring. no, they're just little cute animated scenes with animals like, going to a coffee shop or watching a movie in a cute little living room. but they're nice and big images so you can draw in your own details like the grain on wood, for example. harder to explain than it would be to see, i think.

those adult colouring books seem to be pretty popular these days. but i guess it's a great way to like wind down and relax a little bit. not that i've tried it yet as i have other ways to wind down from the busy days. uhm, don't think you've missed that much really. nothing exciting happening in my life at the moment. i'm not that big of a help in starting to socialize again, sorry.

i wonder if they've always been around or if tiktok made them a thing. i wouldn't be surprised, tiktok basically is our culture at this point. it's really great for winding down and relaxing. you can just turn your mind off; and watching the project come to life is so satisfying. like watching those soap cutting videos or whatever. well, if there's nothing exciting happening then you should make something exciting happen! life's too short to be boring.

i just got completely thrown for a loop when you mentioned alcohol markers—i was convinced for a second that some new tiktok trend was turning our favorite beverages into markers, like a boozy twist on those scratch-and-sniff stickers. but hey, maybe i’ve stumbled onto a million-dollar idea here. time to cash in. anyway, i’m always coloring when my nieces are over, though i’m probably the world’s worst coloring buddy. i’m a hardcore stay-inside-the-lines type, so when their tiny, sticky hands swoop in with chaotic energy, scribbling everywhere and giving ariel blonde hair instead of her iconic red? let’s just say, i’m smiling on the outside but absolutely seething inside.

oh, that is a good idea! although, wouldn't they all just smell like alcohol? which is already what they smell like... i have an idea! how about markers that look like markers and everything but they're actually little vials of alcohol. perfect for sneaking into parties, concerts, award shows... now i think i'm the one on to something. i'm the same way, especially with these markers. if you make one little mistake it like, ruins the whole image. so you'd be my dream coloring buddy, if it's any consolation.
