Is my outfit work appropriate? No. Dr. McTouchy is not going to like that you can see my "bra" (its a binder you fruit loop) because of the low armhole on my dress but it was one of the outfits that once I thought of it, it was stuck in my head like a song. I sewed nothing, just made the jewelry.

So this is my Costar for today ("The Way You Think Is Valuable"), and since I'm working on Give Up Forever, I'll drop rabbit lore on you-

I had Star read tarot using playing cards because that's how I read.

I've always been pretty poor, and not only that but I grew up in a very conservative area, so I didn't think actual tarot would be good for me. But my brain is always like, "I can make it work"- I'm always looking for the dollar tree hack even in a time when we didn't have the phrase "dollar tree hack". I stumbled across learning to read playing cards and they were every day enough that I could always have them on me with few questions asked. I don't know how to read actual tarot cards and I'm not sure I'll ever learn, but using playing cards I did tell a friend how he'd meet his partner.

I think it's funny that I didn't think I'd ever write Lost Boys fanfic because for 20 plus years, I was never inspired to. So, I thought I was fine using David as a name for a vampire OC because "he's not the same guy", "I'm never gonna write TLB fic", and this is just an homage usage of the name but now I can't tell you about my favorite book I've ever written because I don't want you to confuse the Davids.

Everyone else's favorite is usually Carmilla '86, but after writing everything for rapid release, I decided I needed a treat, and I wrote The Vampire & Mr. Claus, which is about Santa Claus trying to propose to his disaster vampire boyfriend. It's literally my favorite in Quaint City: After Dark.

Which is only relevant because today I'm wearing the outfit that inspired my "Cozy Vampire at the Night Market" summer. I'm writing a new QC:AD about a vampire named Misty who has a booth at a night market and I'm bringing Nick & David back, I think. Because it annoys Frankie. I fell in love with these purple snakeskin orthopedic looking clogs and I was agonizing over them not actually being cool, which is when Mags told me they looked like a "cozy vampire at a night market". ((No one look for that story any time soon, though, because I'm having too much fun with the fanfic to go back to original works right now. Stories being interactive is so much more fun than writing alone.))
