Today's proof of life is brought to you by someone whose depression reared its ugly little head this morning. So, Give Up Forever probably won't update until tomorrow since it's plot heavy and I'm just having one of those days.

(I got turned down for ensemble in a show that is literally begging for bodies so... that typical actor brain bullshit is being a jerk to me today. Happens to all of us. Just gotta ride it out. )

I did enjoy all the comments from last night's marathon of updates and I'm rereading them to cheer myself up as we speak. Surprised no one commented on Grandpa's activities.

Made nothing except my bracelets today.

Michael is turning into a vampire, which is bad enough, but then he starts hallucinating a dark-haired ghost with David's face and he's pretty sure that's making it worse. He says his name is Esper and he's helping Michael more than David is… it's almost like they're related or something.

Basically, just a collection of scenarios where Esper from The Ghost Light is the ghost of David's twin brother who pops in sometimes to ruffle his brother's feathers. Probably no plot, so at any point consider it completed. I was inspired by a tiktok edit that made me sad when they layered Esper over David visuals.

"How do you write so fast" - By not doing things I was supposed to be doing and probably getting in trouble for it.

In other news, I will edit tonight's chapter of Give Up Forever and post sometime after work. I think I've been holding off because I wanted to drag it out but in my heart I know that we're close to the end. Probably only 13 total chapters, with 11 being the one for tonight.

I will also update 2 chapters of Fun House tonight because I can/ have them. It makes me laugh so much.

And possibly the one chapter of Boo Yeah but I haven't decided.

Also, more Fur Real is on the horizon, I just had a minor block on what I needed from it that I'm working through.

Me, re: Fun House: 1200 words for just one chapter is okay, isn't it?

Mags: Very OK.

Me: I just feel bad when the chapters are less than like, 2500.

Mags: Babes, you're writing stuff for free. There is no minimum submission.

Me: But I want it to be good for them.

The Give Up Forever chapter was over 3500, so I think it's okay that the two chapters of Fun House were only like, 1200 each. I'm still working on Boo Yeah, so I'll probably have that up soon, too.

I am having the time of my life writing this and I'm doing so much now because I know I need to focus on planning A Sherlock Carol/prepping for auditions like, this week, so I've run out of time. But I'm having so much fun right now. It's like, yes, I'm investing time and giving something for free, but the people who read are also investing time, too. I want it to be a worthwhile investment for them.

I needed a really good laugh today and they cracked me UP. Also, accurate on "it's H20 mermaids but instead of mermaids it's gender" because that is exactly the vibe.

Also, throwing this out there - when Michael is talking about girl names, I threw out Michaela because of (this fic) from Mizzishizznell. I think in Fun House my Michael is gonna go by Maya, or Maia, can't decide, but I love that Michaela is becoming the femme name for him. <3 Everyone makes me laugh so much. I love it.

I'm not posting today because the lady upstairs kept me awake until 4 AM fucking her boyfriend through the ceiling again, which is fine but like, why do you have to be so loud. Then, the costume sale was outdoors and I'm one of those 'heat makes me sick' people, so I'm tired.

... I am writing though, if anyone is around and wants to talk fic. I had an idea for a Ghost Light themed one. I want to edit the next story in Fur Real, Michael, and I want to work on the Fun House one. Because I'm extra giggly after a fun day.
