So I’m sitting here at Zaxbys. If you’re not from America (lucky you) or are from a state that doesn’t have Zaxbys, it’s a quick service restaurant that serves friend chicken and chicken wings. It USED to be my favorite fast food restaurant. Not anymore.

I’m sitting here eating my fucking Zensation Zalad and guess what music is playing over the radio? Some bullshit religious Christian pop. In a PUBLIC PLACE.

I was so upset and feeling so triggered that I got up and demanded to speak to a manager. Through the tears, I said “This music is very problematic to non-Christians and it’s very triggering to me.” The manager said “Well, it’s not really up to us what our radio plays - it’s set by our operator remotely. Plus, this is a very Christian area of the state, and most people like it.”

As fucking if.

I then inform that white bitch that Christianity is responsible for massive, unnumbered amounts of hate, violence, misogyny and homo/transphobia across the GLOBE and that for her to dismiss my trigger is just gross. She disagreed and so I said before storming out “Fine. Hail Satan!” and left. I’m not sure but I’m pretty positive I heard the whole restaurant applaud after I left.

Seriously though we have a separation of church and state for a REASON. Christian icons, paintings, statues, and music should not be in public state-owned space EVER.

This is almost as bad as when Chick-fil-A man said “I hate gays and they need to die.”
