something I think is very neat about 2x04 is that, while Guillermo is clearly terrified FOR the vampire hunters, he's also not really that scared of the vampires for his own sake - he seems completely confident about his own ability to keep himself safe even though he's absolutely completely surrounded by vampires and wildly outnumbered

So Nandor has done a group hug with Laszlo and Nadja, he's hugged Colin, he's tried to initiate one with the fuck-ing Guide, these are just the times that I remember off the top of my head. He is not adverse to hugging or even casual touch, he used to mouth-kiss his horse to feed him berries, physical affection is a thing he likes. It's not about how much he likes/appreciates the person, Colin is like half a friend and the Guide isn't one at all

rewatching the Gail episode and boy howdy I can't wait for the ep in S4 where Guillermo meets Antonio Banderas at the London Vampire Expo and Antonio Banderas flirts with him in front of Nandor, maybe even offer to turn him as well and this is literally Guillermo's dream come true and Nandor is in the corner, watching it all happen. Feeling anger and heartbroken, seething for reasons he can't fully understand why, just immense dislike of Antonio Banderas and he can't even explain why.
