You are as far from me as memory
u survive literally every single event in your life & still every time a new event happens you feel like this is the event that will kill you and that you will never move on from but actually you will continue to survive like you always have bc u have a 100% win rate of surviving events. btw

probably the best advice I've ever got was from my grandpa when I moved from my town and started a university, he told me to leave the house everytime when I start to feel down, just to go to the park, a supermarket, a bookstore, to even drive in a bus or tram, just be around other people because staying at home all the time kills you; and you know he was right

was how horses simply give birth to other horses. Not a baby by any means, not a creature of liminal spaces, but a four-legged beast hellbent on walking, scrambling after the mother. A horse gives way to another horse and then suddenly there are two horses, just like that. Thatâs how I loved you. You, off the long train from Red Bank carrying a coffee as big as your arm, a bag with two computers swinging in it unwieldily at your side. I remember we broke into laughter when we saw each other. What was between us wasnât a fragile thing to be coddled, cooed over. It came out fully formed, ready to run.
The amount of people that stay stagnant because theyâre afraid of having friends that are âbetterâ than them might just be the answer as to why a lot of them are so lonely, too. Having friends that are better spoken, better traveled, better dressed, better educated, better whatever actually enriches your life tremendously and I couldnât imagine not surrounding myself with people I wanted to learn from out of mere fear of inadequacy
I wanna add this line from âA Little Lifeâ

I just hope that no matter how many times this world tries to harden me and turn me into a cold person, may I remain soft, may I still be compassionate, full of love, and see hope in everything, and may I never become something that once broke me.
gen z has to reckon with its radicalization problem. you are not a morally pure and superior generation of youth come to save the world, your men and boys are radicalized at an unprecedented level and you ignore it because itâs too hard to address but you have to. these boys are in your classes, they date your friends, you know them and you cannot continue to pretend this is an âold white guyâ problem
girls are contributing, too. the coquette aesthetic, the âi donât want to girlboss i want a man to pay my billsâ, girlmath girljob girlmoney. itâs a joke, itâs clothes, itâs whatever, i get it but it is driving a mentality of traditional gender roles and you know youâre joking but your boyfriend doesnât. your kid brother doesnât. you have to stop this shit it is a contributing factor

I wanted the past to go away, I wanted to leave it, like another country; I wanted my life to close, and open like a hinge, like a wing, like the part of the song where it falls down over the rocks: an explosion, a discovery; I wanted to hurry into the work of my life; I wanted to know, whoever I was, I was alive for a little while.
Mary Oliver, "Dogfish" in New and Selected Poems
