i've already told them, they don't care. they'll keep paying for it anyway (they already are paying for like chatgpt pro or whatever it's called). i feel like a large part of it is them writing off my concerns as childish and just not taking anything i say seriously, which sucks. the bubble can't pop any sooner istg

They're still not paying a *fraction* of the actual cost of this shit. The actual, real world costs of AI compute have been kept obscured and hidden by the "industry" for years now. There WILL come a point very soon. Where your family are going to be spending hundreds of dollars in a single day on tokens if they keep using it like this. I mean this very seriously when I say that your family will physically not be able to afford it no matter how addicted they are.

This is AAALLLL a bubble. AI is INCREDIBLY unprofitable. It costs these companies 5-10x's their revenue just to run this garbage. So if you want AI to die. Don't worry, it will. It is far too unprofitable and unreliable to be a viable long term industry.

I think it's beautiful how you can tell by the angle of the light that this crab is gazing towards the sunset/sunrise, perhaps sailing in hope for new beginnings.
