The best? Your putting an awful lot of pressure on yourself with these claims, when’s all this gonna go down?

I stand by my statement 1000%. I’m also realizing that you get more out of this deal than I do but it is what it is. You tell me when you have some time.

That sounds like a pretty damn good deal because I don’t think I can see any losers in it. So you’re on. I could eat like 10 cannoli’s at any given minute.

I can introduce you to the best Cannoli’s you will ever taste. 

Wow, and you came out the gate that hot? You weren’t lying, you Bostonians are very clearly passionate. Food IS important, that’s the main point in all of this. Do you wanna know a secret? In Canada, we just call it bacon. 

Okay fine. I’ll make you a deal i’ll give Canandian pizza an honest open minded try but you have to a Boston Cannoli. 

When was the last time you even had Canadian pizza? Can you really be that sure? Because I can come up with two chains and about ten other places that would make you WEEP into your Boston pie, sir. But a lot can be said over your first red flag about me coming about over the topic of pizza, all things considered.

Not sure i ever had it to be honest. Food is important. I will say Canandian Bacon is the best bacon.

Since I’ve spent this last year going back and forth between Toronto and Los Angeles full-time, it’s made me realize just how different cuisines can be between the two. Like, the Chinese food in LA beats any of the Chinese I’ve ever had in my homeland by miles. But then Toronto takes the cake when it comes to pizza – and yes, I’m aware that last comment is super bold, but I said what I said! All of this to publicly admit that either I need to write my own Canadian/American food guide, or just need to start cooking more at home for myself.

I just...my brain blanked out after you said Canandian pizza is the best. I can not accept that. I don’t know if we can hang out anymore. You can not say that to someone from Boston. You have to lie to them. Our egos are fragile.

“Best in the world, huh? I think I know some other New Englanders who might disagree with you on that one,” she smirked, “But i get rooting for the home team. Can’t say I watch a ton of baseball, but when I do, gotta go with the Jays being a Toronto girl, myself.” she responded, finding the banter coming more and more easy as they went on. Which Laura would probably find perplexing when she thought back on it all later, all things considered. Sure the first night they’d met might NOT have been one of her finer hours. She didn’t remember much from it, but that statement alone spoke volumes. She wasn’t normally the type to get that messed up. “And yanno, just so it’s out there,” the blonde went on, “That night…that wasn’t really on the list of normal nights for me. So this is…all pretty crazy,” she laughed, finally getting it out there. “I feel silly saying that because I’m sure most people in this sort of situation would try to save face, but I honestly don’t normally drink that much, yanno?” The actress had been going through a rough time last year. “But, I haven’t given up completely, so yea. Tomorrow at 5 works.”

The blonde listened on as he laid out the rules of the hat in amusement. “And here little ole Canadian me thought it was just a hat. I guess you do learn something new every day,” she told him with a laugh. “But does this mean I owe you a Boston lager now? You know, so you can officially say goodbye to it?” she questioned with a smirk. It was weird. One minute she’d been in shock over the fact that he was even talking to her, never-mind the fact this big and long awaited revelation was revealed, and the next she was having this easy banter with him.  And her nerves seemed to be calmed even further when he told her it wasn’t a pity date. She figured if he was anything like her, the events of that night puzzled him since it had happened. But she didn’t want him to feel like he owed her anything in the long run. Her cheeks flushed at his compliments. When she’d left the house in her yoga pants this morning, never did she think she’d be where she was right now. “ No,” she said, looking down at the ground for a brief moment before looking back up at him, “This isn’t me saying I’m not interested. I just wanted to give you an out if you wanted one. Kind of glad you didn’t take it.” she told him. “I’m in town for a little bit, so if you’re serious, then yea. Let’s go out. I mean hey, clearly we hit it off before, right?”
