Every Sunday is dreadful, because i fear Monday coming. Im not afraid of school or what, it's just that the clock is ticking too fast. Too many things, too little time. This was more than what I expected, or should I say, more than what I can handle. I always believed in myself that I would be able to deal with everything. My ego told me, "Melody, you will make it, you did and you will." Reality told me, I'm not quite getting there. Work, assignments and deadlines don't just come, they pour in, like this torrential rain trying to flood and kill you. I tried not to express in front of people. There were times that I was on the verge of a break down. In fact, I've melt down so many times, but not in front of people. I didn't want to spread that negative energy, I didn't want to make a fuss out of it, I know everybody is going through pretty much the same stress and pressure. IB+UWC+UNIAPP+responsibilities push you to extremes. On one hand, there are all these assignments, IA, EE, TOK, FOA...... Then there comes UWC, socializing, talking with people, enjoying and chilling together. Then UNIAPP, the super important item that determines your future. And yes, responsibilities, the ones that i took on to make this community a better place for everyone, and you learn so much about people, appreciation and teamwork. What does that ultimately mean? Living a life like that essentially means no sleep. Am i enjoying it? quite frankly yes and no. I figured not sleeping is a nightmare, yet all these things awaken me, my life, reminds me of the city, reminds me of how life was back then. At times, i question myself, why did i do this, why did i do that, why did i take on such a responsibility? Why? At the end, Im just hoping the answer is it's all worth it. I hope that one day when I look back I'll say, i've been through all those crazy shit. I survived, coming out as a stronger and better version of myself. And just some advice for ppl who want to do crazy shit like this, think thoroughly your priorities, then make the choice. And of course, make the most out of it :) afterall, you won't get to do these againš¼ One more thing: third term at uwc is probably the best and worst ;)
