armand in a half ponytail but at what cost…. armand with a collection of machetes but at what cost… armand evil surgeon but at what cost… loumand reunion but at what cost…. armand crying for the first time but at what cost…. acknowledgement of armand’s trauma without making it a joke out of it but at what cost… the character understanding armand being louis but at what cost….

That scene really could have been good if it was just the two of them in a room talking. If Armand didn’t torture the apology out of him. Maybe he goes into the conversation with bad intentions. He wants to manipulate Louis into saying sorry. Twist the knife of the divorce a bit. And then Louis actually does apologize to him, genuinely, and it disarms Armand completely. All the illusions of their life together are finally stripped back and they are just two damaged people looking at one another for the very first time.
