ooh if it's the one i posted back in december of Last Year, Buckle Up Buddy; Have I Got BITS & PIECES of this Story to tell (SORRY FOR SEEING THIS SO LATE BY THE WAY .. i haven't been opening tumblr so much lately ..... )^:> (i should mention this all begins like. 30 years BEFORE mario & company begin the adventure) So Basically, mario's entire world is at the threat of being submerged underwater -- & eventually FROZEN to live in eternal winter -- by this new Bad Guy™ called MOONSTONE. WHO is MOONSTONE? moonstone is supposed to be culex's blue crystal depicted as something more humanoid, & thrumming with a hunger to assume power over this new dimension (& eventually control star road too)

(little lore here ... 30 years ago, there was a group of knights that came to challenge culex in his little pocket dimension, right. the blue crystal decides It's Culex's Time™ & possesses the last knight that hadn't fallen yet. with a newly discovered set of powers, he immobilizes culex & then seals him away with the other crystals in a special little ice coffin. & THUS, culex has remained DORMANT ever since)

moonstone doesn't do anything immediately upon releasing himself from the little pocket dimension in monstro town. he goes inactive for 3 decades, but There Are Signs of his presence throughout the world. such as the levels of the water mysteriously rising little by little every week ... & when we get to the present, a good chunk of mario's world is already surrounded by more water than usual, & it's become part of their society. though not for the best, some areas of the world adapt better to the water, while some Do Not ... like moleville, for example

after planning for 30 years, moonstone finally makes his appearance & casts a horrible whirlwind of rain upon the world. kinda to like, Butter Everyone Up & Prepare Them, if you will ... Heh. so with all this commotion, the star spirits see all the chaos brewing in mario's world & they send geno (who is named AZURE in this au. i thought the name would cute) down to assist the heros down below

i haven't really done much for the au within these last few months ... really all i have are moonstone's ambitions, designs for the main five, small pieces of the storyline, & these drawings i made in december of moonstone himself & him sealing culex away Lol
