4-6 was notttt a good match lol (entertaining, but lousy football), because both the English and French teams are weak on defense and they played their b-list players on top of that (England didn't even use their main goalkeeper). The only thing worse than playing a third place match is losing a third place match though, so they kept sending in better goal-scorers as the match progressed, but since no one addressed that initial problem of weak defense the numbers just kept going up and up.

This does sound potentially more like something I could watch without feeling entirely bored than is usual for football, I imagine it could be frustrating to people who like good football seeing it done badly, but as I've said before football just feels like nothing is happening for a long time, so maybe bad football is the football for me.

#wait #4 - 6?#i'm not pretending to be an expert or anything #i imagine an expert in football would have watched at least...some? like for sure over a minute of world cup #so expert i am not #but isn't that like #i was under the impression that the higher the level of play the lower the scores tended to be #presumably kick ball in net is easier than stop enemy kick ball in net #so defence scales with skill more than offence #idk if that is true #that's speculation born entirely of the vague idea i have of higher scores happen more in lower skilled leagues #which #given my not expertise i recognise might be a random assumption i have so i could be working off a faulty premise #but if the premise is correct #the 3rd and 4th best in the world having a low skill scoreline is kinda weird #i guess if they know they're not winning they might just for-fun it at that point #it's probably that isn't it #like a showmatch kinda thing #that would explain it #okay i worked it out i get it now

You know when books have "Now an Original Series (Prime logo)" stickers.

The capitalisation does a lot of work there right.

Because Original is only being used as a brand name, not as a word, because a lowercase original series would necessarily not be based on a book or other media.

I imagine there have been some Prime Original Series which are also original, but it just feels a bit silly to call it Original and then place that branding in places which inherently expose the lie of it.
