While do feel like the name is pretty self explanatory, I felt like it would be a good idea to create a post to explain everything in details.

The thing is, I have more than a thousand bookmarks on AO3, be it public or private. I'm mostly a ghost reader, even if i leave kudos/a bookmark, but recently i've started posting semi-regularly and i realized that receiving comments are a boost for inspiration and motivation. And thus came me wanting to go back to fics i've read and leave a comment. But i didn't want to do it like a chore, and some of the fics i read years ago i don't remember that well.

And thus Moon's Daily Fic Rec was born (MDFR for short). Even if i go through one fic a day for the next 3 years, i would still be able to recommend some fics, because my bookmarks continously grow (my friend @alysorah use it as their personal fic shop)

The fics i recommend are almost always completed, because i read mostly completed fics!

I do post a commentary with my rec, but its length changes depending on the day, because i don't always have the motivation or the time to write paragraphs upon paragraph daily.

The commentary might contain spoilers, so be careful about that, but i always warn people when the spoilers are coming with this : /!\ SPOILERS /!\, so you should be able to avoid them.

The comment is always also posted under the ao3 fic, so don't worry, it's still me :)

Finally, if you want me to read your fic i absolutely can, and i promise to try to be nice, but over the years i've because kinda picky about formatting and syntax :( i can beta your work for you though!

So, if you want me to read it just send me a message in the "Ask me anything" button and drop the link. I must warn you tho, it must either be posted on AO3 or on Tumblr. I refuse to go back to Wattpad or ffn. It's a question of principles.

In Westeros, people don't really have different to say "I love you", however Targaryen and Velaryon has different ways to express their loves depending on the circumstances :

"Ao sagon arliñāre ñuha prūmia ezīmagon perzys" = "You're changing my heart into fire" → To talk about romantic love, the kind you express to your lover, it's about passion, desire and adoration.

"Iksi sharing keskydoso peldioñelly" = "We share the same scales" → To talk about family love (not incestuous). It's a way to say that their bond as family is so strong, the dragons inside of them is similar to the other, which is pretty intimate, because of they are such prideful being and they tend to valuate individuality, so admitting that a member of their family is similar to them says a lot.

"Avy jorrāelan" = "I love you" → It's a more simple way to express love, but still, saying it in Valyrian gives much more weight to the words because it's the language of their ancestors.

There is not much informations about religions in the canon so I took "artistic freedom" about it! So there are four answers in my fic, depending on which religion you believe in (so either Faith of the Seven, the Old Gods, the Lord of Light or the Valyrian Gods).

If one believe in the Faith of the Seven, they will believe that all women are protected in their early lives and up until marriage by the Maiden. Then, from marriage to pregnancy, women are protected by both the Maiden and the Mother Above until they are with child.

It's a grey period, where it is believed that even though you are protected by both faces, it is possible for none of them to respond to their prayers because the newly wed woman/girl might be too close to the other one or in a too perfect in between.

(It's one of the reasons given by believers as to why wedding must be consumed immediately after the marriage and why it is so important to have a child quickly)

And so, pregnancy is seen as the blessing from the Mother Above towards the union and towards the woman that she will now protect. It is also considered that if the married couple struggle or simply cannot have a child, it might be because the Mother Above does not approve of the union or because the Maiden refuses to let go of the woman.

And if a pregnancy does not end up with child, it is believed that the Mother Above and the Maiden were too indecisive so it was the Stranger who took the stillbirth as a way to balance the scales.

Believing in the Old Gods, it is customary to have the woman with child to sacrifice a pregnant bunny to a Heart Tree, preferably by impaling the little creature with the branches, passing through the womb. It is also acceptable to kill the bunny and spill the blood above the face for it to spill on it.

There is no spiritual belief surrounding miscarriage and stillborn babies, but if the baby come without problems they will believe that their prayers and sacrifice was listened to.

For those believing in the Lord of the Light, it is deemed necessary to have the unborn child and mother be blessed by a red priest, to be sure that if any of them die, they will be reborn and immediately join the light of their God, R'hllor.

Also, a child being born during the day is seen as more favorable to join the side of the Red God and a child born during the night is seen as more favorable to join the side of the Other God; it is not their fate and can be avoidable whatsoever.

Because of the centuries of witchcraft bonding the Targaryen to dragons, their literal bodies started to be affected, especially during the whole period of gestation, where the fetus isn't yet stable between their human body and dragon blood. Inside of their mother's womb, Targaryen fetuses would have humanoïdes appearances, but with mixes of some draconic features until the very last days of gestation before the birth, where the baby will finally find balance between human and dragon. If the baby was to be born before the physical features of dragon fade away, they wouldn't be able to survive. This is why preterm birth are so dangerous for Targaryen babies.

To talk about believes, the believers of Valyrian Gods do prey Shrykos, Deity of Life, Creation and Harmony in hope of a healthy child. But is something was to happen before/during childbirth or to the still very young child, Morghul, Deity of Death, Destruction and Discord (and lover of Shrykos) would probably has something to do with it, according to the Valyrian Mythology.
