whether he’s impressed or shocked by lynette’s actions, he’s not entirely sure. but beau decides he’s probably a bit of both when he realizes his mouth is agape in a half smile. when lynette comes back around with that winning smile and the wagging brow, he can’t help but shake his head in disbelief. that same, stupefied smile is still printed across his lips and each time he tries to shake it off, it only grows in size. when she’s within reach, he gives her a mocking round of applause. “you have the moves, lynette,” he says, “i really underestimated you.” beau unbuttons the cuffs on his sleeves and rolls them up to his elbow. as he does this, he casually mentions that the group costume idea may be about that new movie that just came out. he’s not entirely sure what it’s called, nor does he care, but this information is boring to him now. leaning over the counter, his face only inches away from her own, beau takes the phone from her hand. too excited to notice the distance, or lackthereof, between them, beau looks up at her, his face illuminated from the soft glow of the screen, “listen, i’m thinking we can take this trick even further.” his eyes gleam wicked in the blue light, “but you might already know what i’ve got in mind.”
lynette scoffs. “what was the point if you can’t even give me the proper information? it seems i underestimated you. you just wanted to see what i would do.” her expression is quick to return to a playful smile; she’s pretty sure beau is one of the few people in the world she could never actually be mad at. her mouth falls agape when he snatches the phone from her hands, but her smile spreads wickedly once again when they lock eyes and his words are being uttered so closely. her brow raises with intrigue. “enlighten me,” she responds, wanting to see what he has to offer up before she makes a guess of her own.
