“Of course she did. I simply have a weakness for a pretty face.”

“I guess I’m bless,but I do tend to notice odd things.”

an eyebrow quirked at him as she thought for a moment, but she came up blank. “ hm, can’t say i have. i’m sure she’s around somewhere — probably busy. ” she shrugged, a small smile tugging at her lips. “ have you tried texting her ? ”

“Well, I have, but I need her address. I am trying to be a dear brother and send her some flowers as an apology for being away. I want it to be a total surprise.”

Lindsey: i feel for the person who gets saddled with you

Lindsey: let's do lunch tomorrow

Lyle: She'll be a lucky lady and I'll give her the world.

Lyle: Noon sharp?

“Well not everybody is super observant,I on the other hand am quite observant.”

Lindsey: I can never tell when you’re telling the truth and when you’re lying through your teeth. Not that it matters one way or the other

Lindsey: so tell me about this extravagent plan of yours to win my affections

Lyle: This one isn't a lie for once.

“Oh? She’s a popular one, then? I’m sure someone will know where she is, then. The more popular a person, the easier it is to keep tabs on them.”

“Lindsey has never not been popular. I was hoping that would be the case with her. That way I could take care of finding her more easily.”

“That is a nice thing for you to say, it’s easier to remember a name then a face sometimes, especially when people come in to my store asking for something,I learn their name before their face.”

“I can be generally unobservant.”

“I suppose, but she’s been doing pretty well keeping up with me and training. This is her reward” 

“Ah. I see. She was always one that couldn’t resist shopping trips. Not that I’m any better.”

Lindsey: it’d be dumb to trust a gallagher and I’ve never been an idiot

Lyle: He was a lovely man, and I learned a great deal from him actually. He wasn't a monk though. He was a friar at an abbey in France.

Lindsey: you don’t get to do better by me

Lindsey: you don’t get to be my friend, lyle, bc you disappear at will and I’m left bearing the brunt of Nathaniel Gallagher’s madness

Lyle: There's no more disappearing.

Lyle: I get it. I'm lazy and a jackass and a flake, but I'm trying.

     “then it is probably safe to say i haven’t seen her. probably… i can be a little unobservant sometimes – sorry. i could help you look?”

“I can’t judge there, but any help is appreciated.”
