Hello! I'm MJ (she/her, adult) a Star Fox fan and fanfiction writer. This is my little corner of the internet where I get to ramble about my favorite video game series as well as my own project: Star Fox Restored.

As I am a writer and this blog is partially about my own take on the Star Fox world, I do have some tags specific to my series:

With my Star Fox series, I intend to really dive into the characters and lore. Exploring things such as just what it was Fox saw on Venom - a ghost? James McCloud actually alive? - or why Andross wanted to conquer the Lylat System. As well as just being a love letter to the franchise as a whole. I want to bring in as much as I can from forgotten characters to little references to cameo appearances.

Not any time soon, of course. I still have Star Fox Restored to work on. However, there are things I've learned since starting my series and ideas, I've gotten that don't really fit in my current series. I think, at some point, I'd like to start a new series incorporating this knowledge and new ideas.

Something that's more in the vein of Star Fox 2026's characterization for most of the characters. Maybe something that leans a little more on the SNES continuity instead of the 64-Command timeline.

Here we see the first character that isn't one of the main pilots of the series. Hence the n/a for both flight suit and marker color. Though don't let that fool you, we will see Lucy flying into battle at some point in Star Fox Restored.

I believe Lucy's the first one we've seen with a high expression ability. That of course being her future sight. Of all the characters we've seen so far, I think her ability is the most obvious. Especially because part of War's End is dependent on that ability.

Lucy's future sight is treated as a sort of 'sixth sense'. This unexplainable knowledge she seems to have a times. She knew the Venom mission was going to go badly. She knew a member of Star Fox was going to be shot down over Titania... so on and so forth.

While her ability is high expression she doesn't have mastery of it. She can misinterpret what she sees. Or see something that could have happened but didn't. For example, she saw Fox dying on Titania but instead Peppy's the one who crash landed because he saved Fox.

Her ability is largely based off of something I have experienced and others I know have experienced. Times where I have this bad feeling nestled between my shoulder blades and I just know something is going to happen. Then Dad goes to the ER that night 🙃 (this literally happened when I was in fourth or fifth grade).

Though with Lucy's ability she gets a clearer picture. The perks of being a fictional character I guess.

Other than her ability I don't have much to say about her quick reference section. I think most of it is self-explanatory. Though I will admit that 'strawberries' being part of her scent is a reference to when my sibling and I were discussing Vivian and Lucy's canonical fur colors. We started calling them "mint bunny" and "strawberry bunny" 😂 As you can see in Lucy's fur color section, I have changed her design. Giving her Peppy's coffee brown fur and Vivian's white markings.

Saw this exchange for the first time the other day. For those unaware, Slippy is talking about the aparoid base where Fox has to go through and destroy all the shield generators and hatchers.

With Star Fox Restored I'm kind of taking an approach that canon is a stack of magazines and I have a pair of scissors. I'm taking little bits here and there and using them in different ways.

One example of this, was the fact that I aged up Fara Pheonix. I did this for 3 reasons:

Fara was from the original SNES continuity (well, technically the comics, but she was planned to appear in Star Fox 2 before she got scrapped for whatever reason). I thought it'd be neat if she flew with the first Star Fox team. Just as she flew with Star Fox in the first continuity.

I was working on a prequel story at the time and realized I needed a character to kind of fill in Katt's role (since Pepper was already there to fill in Bill's role). Fara was the obvious choice.
