Send me "Some Other You" and I'll introduce you to an AU version of my character!
[x]
Angsty Sentence Starters
Are you just going to disappear on me again?
Are you saying that this is my fault?
Don’t pretend like you ever cared.
Everything was a lie, I was just using you.
Forget you ever met me.
How could you leave me here?
How long have you known about the affair?
I always knew I’d end up hating you.
I don’t think I can trust you anymore, or ever again.
I hope you never forgive me for what I did to you.
I needed you and you weren’t there.
I never want to hear your name again.
I remember when you made me happy, I don’t know what I was thinking.
I should have never trusted you.
I thought you said you’d never hurt me.
If this is goodbye, make sure I never see you again.
It was fun while it lasted, but I can’t do this anymore.
Just the thought of being around you makes me feel sick.
People have died because of you!
Please tell me what I did wrong, what I can do to fix this.
There’s no such thing as love, at least not between us.
Was everything a lie?
We used to have something great and now I can’t get far enough away from you.
We’ll never be able to go back to how we were.
What about all those nights, do they mean nothing to you?
What we had meant nothing to me.
You can’t just walk away like nothing happened!
You never want to see me again?
You used to give me hope and now you give me nothing.
You’re so caught up with impressing everyone that doesn’t matter.

beauty & the tragedy [ au drabble ]
He had never expected it to happen this way.
He didn’t know what he had expected, really. Just not this.
Shouldn’t he have known? A rebellion was not one without sacrifices, but the two of them had sacrificed everything they had. Their freedom, their relationship, their innocence, their last pieces of their childhood…all of those things had been ripped away from them, and yet he still had hope that one day the war would end. That one day they’d make it to a beach with coarse sand, tall palm trees, and warm ocean water. He had dreamed of seeing the world, and he had wanted it to see it with the one person he cared about, the only girl he ever loved. That never happened.
If your name is Daphne Longbottom, your last moments go something like this:
You were just barely eighteen when it happened. It wasn’t quick. It was messy, and the pain was unbearable as he sank his claws into you into you. You were dizzy and tired and slowly growing colder and colder. You could hear her heartbeat change, going from panicked and pounding to far too fast and fluttering, heart trying to pump blood that was rapidly decreasing in volume. You knew it was the end; you knew there was no way you could back from this, not when your breathing was slowing and each breath was weaker and weaker. You knew you were dying.
“So sorry, darling,” your boyfriend’s father taunted as he wiping the crimson from his lips. “I often forget just how fragile humans really are,” He brought his hand up to cup your cheek, gingerly running the pad of his thumb across your visage, in a way that would seem loving and tender to anyone who might happen to chance across you two but held a completely different meaning to both you and Fenrir. You could not push his hand away. At this point, you could barely even make him out, let alone move or get a word out.
The last sound you heard was something faint and far off, and you thought it might have been your name, but you aren’t sure. You could see someone tall approaching, someone with tan skin and black hair and dark eyes, and once you could just barely hear the footsteps as he ran closer, you knew who it is. There was no question about it. You knew him so well that you know the sound of his footsteps. You knew his smell, you knew what kind of aura he radiated, how he walked…you just knew him so incredibly well. Xav, you thought. And he was your final thought just before your throat is ripped out.

Xavier killed his father after that. It shouldn’t have been so easy to tear him apart; it should’ve been a longer fight. It was the rush of adrenaline, the rage he felt when he saw his girlfriend lying in a pool of blood. It was simply utter panic. When he finally tossed his father onto the floor, the ventricles of his heart having been torn out in a flash, he took a few moments to really take a look at Daphne. The crimson liquid surrounding her. Her beautiful blonde hair stained with blood. Her once markless body covered in gashes. She was dead. Dead. Dead. The word kept ringing in his head like a song that wouldn’t leave. He wasn’t sure if he would ever be able to think anything else.
That was when “No, no, no,” Xavier begged, his voice cracking as a crocodile tear fell down his face. “Please. Don’t be dead. Come back. I… just come back, goddammit!” He collapsed to the ground, kneeling beside her. “JUST COME BACK!”
Xavier’s body became shaking uncontrollably as the tears began falling faster and faster. His hands shook, his breaths become short and shallow, and his head ached. There was nothing to do but sob at the sheer unfairness of it all. This was the first time he had cried in years; he hadn’t since he turned eleven, and he had never done it before in public with people around. He could barely notice there were people around, screaming and crying at the sight before them. All he could see was Daphne.
He would love her forever. No one else could ever come close to the one girl who had accepted him so openly from the first time they met. He hadn’t know it back then, back when he was an awkward eleven-year-old boy with an overbite and a shy smile, but he knew it now: he had loved her from the beginning. There was no doubt.
He knew what he had to do. “Step back!” he screamed to the crowd. “She was my girlfriend! I wanna be alone! Come back later!” Slowly, the people started to inch away, and a few minutes later, no one was left. Just him and her.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered through his tears. “I never wanted you to get hurt. This is my fault. I promised you that I’d keep you safe, and I let you down. Please forgive me.” His hands continued to shake as he shut Daphne’s eyes. “All I…all I wanted to do was protect you. I wish I could’ve…I love you.” Gingerly, he started to place the nearby flowers and leaves on her, covering the nasty, long gashes on her body. He didn’t stop until every tear and mark on her body was unnoticeable. Finally, when he finishes, he stood up and left out one final tear. She truly looked like she could be asleep in a meadow right now. Oh how he wished. “I…can’t live without you. You know that…I’ll…see you in a minute, Daph…I love you…”
He grabbed out his wand and prepared himself, taking a last look at the world around him. The evergreen trees were beautiful; the sunlight hugged his body, trying to keep him warm when he just felt cold inside; that blue bird was singing. He would miss that. But it didn’t matter. Xavier was ready for death. He was tired, and worn out, and he just wanted the endless pain and suffering, that was his life, to stop. The last thing Xavier could hope for was that Daphne was waiting for him in Heaven, with open arms.
He hoped that there would be a beach. They deserved a beach. “Avada Kedavra,” he murmured.
With one last shuddering breath, Daphne’s name tumbled from his lips, and the werewolf Xavier Greyback closed his eyes for the last time.

Q, R, V
Q: Do you prefer peace and quiet, or loud chaos?
Peace and quiet. I’ve had enough chaos for a lifetime.
R: Religion, what is yours? Do you believe in a god?
Nah, not really. I wasn’t raised with a religion. I barely even understood Christmas before I met Daphne. I guess the thought of there being an afterlife is nice though. I wouldn’t be opposed.
V: Do you ever want children?
No. I wouldn’t want my children to share my...condition. Even if it doesn’t always happen, there’s still that little chance, and it’s not something I’d wish on anyone.
Pastime
Although he has never shown anyone before--not even Daphne or his sister--Xavier sometimes doodles. He isn’t necessarily bad, but he isn’t necessarily good either (in his eyes anyway). This is his most recent sketch.
Xavier loves watching kids’ cartoons. He has bits and pieces of memories of himself as a toddler, watching the weekend cartoon blocks with his mum, and although he can barely remember her, watching them makes him feel closer to her. It’s nostalgia for his early childhood, a childhood that was not yet riddled with abuse.
Xavier and Daphne were always partners in Herbology class, but unlike Daphne, Xavier never had much of a green thumb. Oftentimes, in order to keep up with her, he constantly went to Professor Longbottom for help. He didn’t want to seem like an idiot in front of his best friend after all.

Daphne herself couldn’t remember the last time she had spoke to anyone with an angry tone of voice ever, no less the boy who had been her best friend since they were eleven. But things were different now, everything was different now. “Well you can’t hide here.” She spoke, not looking at him. “Coward.” She had never called someone a coward either, if someone didn’t want to fight that was their choice, heck she herself didn’t like the idea and every day arguments with people she tended to shy away from. But she was angry, and upset, and bitter, and the reason for all of it was right there.
“I know that, that’s why I was leaving...” he said, avoiding her eyes. Xavier knew that Daphne was looking for a fight, but he refused to give her one. The last thing he wanted right now was to have an argument, especially not with her. All he wanted to do was to find a place where he could be alone, where no one would stare at him with judgmental eyes or sling biting insults at him. Flinching at her next words, he replied quietly, “I’m not a coward...I just...I thought you wanted your space...”
Daphne didn’t look over, when she heard his voice she simply froze, like she had been in that tower hours previously when she figured him out. She had never been very smart, she knew that, but, the fact that he would take advantage of that, that he would use her naivety, her genuinely good heart to…spy? Was anything that he was as a person, did anything they have before…was any of it real? Or was it all a lie? “How dare you?”
Xavier paused for a moment. He had never heard Daphne speak in such an angry tone of voice in all the years he had known her. And even though it was understandable why, he couldn’t help but be a little shocked to hear her speak that way. “I...I’m sorry...” he said again, knowing that it had to be somewhere around the tenth apology he had said to her in the twenty-four hours. “I didn’t...I didn’t come here for a fight...I was just looking for a place to hide...I’m...I’m going now...”
That face wasn’t right. Rose’s eyes narrowed, her head cocking slightly to the side. “Xaaav. Why do you look guilty?” She arched an eyebrow, unable to resist, “Stick your tongue down her throat too soon?”
“No...I...” Xavier ran a hand through his hair, not sure what to say. He wanted one friend left, other than Addaya and Scorpius, who didn’t loathe him now for betraying Dumbledore’s Army. Even if she would only remain his friend for a short while longer. “I don’t want to talk about it. Are you...are you all right?”
It had been a few hours since they had been saved, Daphne had quickly been found by her father and after seeing her sister she took up hiding in his office. She wasn’t that badly hurt and she didn’t want to be around all those people right now. Her world felt like it had come crashing down around her and she just wanted to be alone. So when the door opened she curled into herself more in the chair in the corner of the office. “Mummy I told you I’m not hungry…”
Xavier hadn’t even realized he had entered Neville’s office until he opened the door, stopping straight in his tracks when he saw who was inside. He had only been looking for a place to hide and gather his thoughts. He hadn’t wanted to see her. Well, no, that wasn’t true. Xavier had wanted to see her. Honestly, she had been all he could think about these past few hours. But even still, he had resolved not to go looking for her. He knew that no matter what he said, she would never forgive him. Perhaps it was better that way even. He didn’t wish to hurt her anymore. He didn’t wish to be the cause of anymore of Daphne’s pain. So it was important that he kept his distance. “Oh. It’s...I’m sorry...wrong room...” Xavier said softly, moving to exit.

“Last I saw, Malfoy was on a bed in there whinging about his hovering daddy.” Rose’s voice was bored, but mostly because her mind was elsewhere- mainly mentally flipping through a list of suspects for Death Eater-dom, trying to narrow down the possibilities as to who tortured her cousin. When her consciousness finally caught up to her, her eyes actually focused in on Xavier, and her face softened noticeably. “I, um.. I haven’t seen Addaya. I saw Daphne, though, in her father’s office… Are you alright?”
“Sounds about right.” Xavier replied, nodding a little. Yes, that was definitely Scorpius Malfoy. He wanted to flinch when he noticed her facial features soften, suddenly completely uncomfortable. Rose was being kind, and he didn’t deserve it in the slightest. Oh, if only she knew. “Oh. Thanks.” he said, reminding himself that it would be useless to go see Daphne. No matter how many times he tried to explain, there was nothing that could be done to regain any semblance of their old relationship. “I’m...I’m all right. I just...needed to talk to them...about stuff.”
Albus had stepped out of the hospital wing for some air that didn’t smell like blood and healing potions. As he re-enters the wing, he stops when he hears Xavier’s questions. “I haven’t seen Addaya, but I’m pretty sure Scorpius is still near the entrance. What do you need Scorpius for?” He raises his eyebrows, too curious not to ask.
Xavier glanced over at the entrance, finally noticing Scorpius with his father. “Thanks.” he said, turning his attention back to Albus, deciding to wait until Draco stepped away from his son before approaching. “I needed...girl advice.” It was the truth. Technically. Xavier just didn’t care to go into detail. “How’re you doing? After everything that happened and all.”
