So I had a tricksy idea last night. I’m in love with the ablaze pallete and I lifted it the other day. I just ordered one from ult@ online.
I used a sewing needle to lift the pans without bending them, smacked them down in small beauty containers (i have a bulk of em), kept almost whole pans of my favorite 4 shades, broke up the darkest color and shook it all up. I made sure there was a lot of dust from each shade I kept and actually used an elf shadow that is a perfect dupe for one of the highlighter colors. It looks like someone didn’t bubble it right and it got smacked to hell… I’m just overly anxious
When I get the new one, I’ll email or call and say it’s completely busted and switch out the pallets to return
Horrible idea? Genius? Please dear Lord give me feedback?

The first thing I ever lifted was tampons, because I literally couldn’t afford anything and I was desperate. As I was leaving the store I set off the alarm because I didn’t know I had to look for tags (hadnt discovered tumblr yet) and the box had a soft tag on it.
The W@l-M@rt greeter came up to me and asked to look in my bag. I kind of hesitated but she peeked in and saw the tampons and looked at me from over the top of her glasses. I was really red and shaking and clutching my stomach (cramps).
She nodded her head and took a step back and said “just this time ok?” quietly and waved me through.
I’m smarter now on knowing what to do, and in definitely not so innocent anymore. But I’m always thankful for that lady, I definitely wouldn’t expect the same kindness if I was caught gain.

Hey! I recently lifted 3 packs of 30 pack Polaroid zink film and 1 50 pack. I got too excited thinking it was instax film. Obviously I have no receipt. I really just want instax film hahah. Any advice?
W4 Lm art and tr get will take returns without receipt (and they both stock both types of film).
you can just say it was a gift but they got the wrong type and want to do an exchange for equal value! with an item like film, i doubt they’ll give you a big hassle.
DO NOT do the return at any store in the chain you lifted it from. they will swipe your ID and if they notice the missing film at one store location then notice you just did a return at another, then theyd easily connect it.

So, a tip, since I steal a lot of plants. h0m3dep0t > lowes for succulents.
1.) Put a paper bag in your purse ot pocket. Even in civilian life, a lot of people lift fallen succulent leaves to propagate. I do this. My HD garden center employees recognize me but we don't interact. I often ask for discounts on dying plants at the register, and they'll do it quite often, but we're talking lifting.
2.) My HD has no cameras in the garden area. None. Zilch. But they do have a camera outside the green house I can see through the glass ceiling, so I use a rack to conceal. It's totally normal to crouch in plant sections - totally normal to spend a lot of time picking out a plant!
BE CAREFUL WITH CACTI. BESIDES SPIKES, THEY HAVE GLOCHIDS. THESE ARE SMALL AND LOOK FUZZY BUT THEY GET STUCK IN YOUR SKIN. I'VE HAD THEM IN MY NOSE. I HAVE ONE IN MY PALM. THEY HURT. USE DUCT TAPE TO GET THEM OUT. this is mainly why you want the paper bag. Before I knew about glochids it was a nightmare in my purse.
You can take the whole plant. But sometimes there's multiple rooted pieces in a pot and you can lift one plant out. This method also works when you want to get tons of small pieces and cuttings - put all of those in the pot and self check out for $4 or $5.
DIRT WILL GET IN YOUR PURSE. DON'T USE A SUPER NICE ONE. I use my cinch purse with an embroidery hoop. It has navy fabric inside. Now, this dirt is DRY as fuck - so get everything out of your bag and dump it. The dirt will be like dust.
General rule of succulent thumb: chubbier, more easily broken. A ganzhou will break in your purse before a Lola echeveria.

Tourist shops and gift shops often sell gems, and homeware stores will sometimes have egg and sea shells, gems, candles, and cool ornaments just perfect for alters! Himalayan salt can be used in loads of spells, and can be found in the beauty sections of stores, and in supermarkets with the salts and spices, as well as charcoal and black salt (which can be made by hand if u can’t be bothered to lîft them.) Vintage stores, thrift stores, and homeware stores sell cool stuff like keys and sometimes crystal balls! Candles are a staple stock in gift stores and sometimes stationary stores for some reason. You can also make ur own paper and embed flowers in it for spell work parchment or altar drawings if u want. Among free stuff from nature for ur altar can be graveyard soil, birds eggs that you’ve emptied yourself, dried flowers and handmade flower/herb bundles. It’s easy pickings if u know where to look!!☺️✨✨

storytime: lifted without even trying tonight lmao
so tonight i went to big l0ts to scope it out. i saw a makeup case that was really cute and was $3 so i was like fuck it, ill buy it. at the register the guy didnt even bother trying to look inside because it was tied shut with those plastic things and the zippers could only move an inch apart (plus it was filled with brown paper to give it shape). when i opened it at home, there were 3 lipsticks, 6 lip balms, a concealer, 2 eyeliners, and a mascara inside. 😹 apparently that small space wasnt small enough!
whoever did this, thank u so much, im sorry u didnt get to have it for yourself but what a nice mini haul 💕 really made it worth the $3
also if anyone wants tips for bi9 lotz HMU! it was actually the first store i lifted from way back when.

You guys might think this is stupid, but my bag is only semi-structured so I put pens on the side to widen the bag and make it look more structured. It doesn’t have to be pens, just whatever fits in your bag. Im using this trick to get some books from b&n today.
