She had known it was a bad idea and she’d probably end up getting pissed off and listing off snarky comments to herself. And yet Violet had smiled and assured the head librarian that sure, they should have some quote boards to share their favorites. Now she bit the inside of her cheek as she watched a couple walk in, and sure enough, the dudebro went straight for the board. “Rather die than doubt. That sounds badass, right? Like some metal band or some dude 'bout to ride a monster truck.” Violet worked hard to restrain from any visible cringing… to her favor, the girl seemed to be kinda annoyed too. “That’s actually form Idylls of the King. By Tennyson. But nice try.” Violet murmured. “Anyway, we have a teen comics section that seems more up to your speed…” She gestured then threw a quick glance at the girl. “We also have a contemporary romance section.” Vi added before turning around and murmuring: “Maybe then you’ll see how much better you can do…” Suddenly she looked up and noticed there was another costumer listening. “Oh… I’m… Sorry?” She cleared her throat and plastered on a smile. “Is there anything I can help you with?” She added, trying to move past it and ignore her blush.
Lux was so late. She was very freaking late but it would all be worth it when she got back and returned with new things for the kids to read. It broke her heart that the returning little patients could not focus their minds with new stories before they had to get a flu shot or the bandages on their cast changed. Charging into the library with a mission... and a hefty check she managed to get from administration for the books that most certainly weren't sticky when they were taken out of the building, Lux made her way towards the girl right at the entrance. "Hello!" She showed the books that were practically embraced in her arms and took a little breath before answering the straightforward question. "I was looking into returning these and probably getting some others that might entertain kids a bit more than the Hungry Caterpillar." She sighed, looking sadly at them. "Not that these are bad! It's just... having kids go to a doctor's office and not being able to at least offer them new things shouldn't be something that hard to fix." Lux chuckled nervously. "If you were looking for an info dump, I guess?"
