oh my god. most of life really is about the little things. a good haircut, a nice playlist, trying a new recipe that turns out well, a poem that hits home, a comfortable spot in the sun, spontaneous messages, a pen you enjoy writing with, tea with the right temperature to drink, buying that thing you’ve been eyeing for a while, a warm bed. yeah. im so grateful for the little enjoyments

the beauty of life comes in a thousand obvious and overlookable details. there is enchantment in knowing how your loved one likes their coffee, in the excitement of seeing strangers’ dogs walking down the street, in the smell of her sweatshirt, in every stack of newly purchased books. even in tragedy, there is something alluring. the release of your first deep breath after a bad night, the art that comes out of heartache, the loop of sad songs that make you feel emotions there are no words for. life is all about seeing the details in every day.
