you stared at the message on your screen. an occasional sniffle escapes your lips as tears would drop onto gojo’s pillow. you couldn’t figure out why he reached out after all this time. you gave him so many opportunities too, and he decided tonight was the best. you were lost at thought until you heard the door knob twist open.
“hi.” you softly said rubbing your eyes subtly.
“hey.” he copied your tone and climbed over you to lay down. “i’m sorry i took awhile to come back, nanami and haibara needed my help with something.”
“s’okay.” your words were quietly spoken as your throat was strained from crying. a few beats of silence passed as neither of you couldn’t find the words to say to each other. gojo’s been here majority of the party despite this being his party. you couldn’t understand what was so special about you that would make him want to stay near you. you began to think more about __ message to you. it stressed you out deeply, you couldn’t get him out of your mind. you got lost in your thoughts until you felt a hand on your shoulder.
you turned around to see him inches away from your face. you could smell the faint smell of alcohol and mint gum from him. you studied his features. his eyebrows were furrowed, cheeks flushed from the alcohol, his hair ruffled after taking his stupid baseball cap off but the most prominent feature of his? his plump lips with his lip piercing, and his eyebrow piercing.
a smirk appeared on his lips as he watched you stare at him. he was also staring at your features. he’s always seen you with __ but he’s never properly looked at you. you looked pretty.
“your staring.” he teased. his tongue pushed the side of his cheek. he was growing cocky at your antics, but you didn’t really mind.
“shut up.” you pushed him slightly in annoyance. a small chuckle escaped your lips.
“you’re cute.” he softly said, cupping your face. you leaned into his touch, all your stress disappeared with him. unfortunately it faded away as you felt like the moment was getting too serious.
you gently took his hand off your face and sat up. “i have to go.” you spoke softly. quickly leaving the room and ignoring him trying to get you back inside. you began to hyperventilate when you finally heard all the commotion from outside. you got overstimulated with all the noise and quickly ran out. you weren’t looking at your surroundings and bumped into someone which prompted them to drop their drink.
“i’m sorry.” you said quickly, grabbing nearby towels to clean up the mess.
“it’s okay, don’t sweat it monks.” the person in front of you said. you froze at the nickname, it sounded so familiar to you. you looked over at the person besides you and your breath hitched.
