Hii! For the most part, I’ll just be writing Reader insert fics and Art that I make to go along with it. This is a multi-fandom blog, so there will be many kinds of fics to go along with them and rambles, but they will be categorized with different tags and whatnot.
➻I I love it when people make art or writing of my own writing/art!! So that’s perfectly okay. I'd like to be tagged in it so I can see what you make! If you make something inspired by a work of mine, please ask/tell me so I know.
➻I I do not condone the repost of my work or using it to train AI. For translating, pls dm me first.

Cw: Obsession, Reader eats an arm in Minhaj's part, a bit of blood, Arranged marriages, implied eating people
Rielle Corallia is NRF's regal Harvester. He technically counts as a Hunter, as he has all his own weaponry to do so, but he seems very insistent on seeing the wonders of monsters. He and Skully get along so well because of it, weirdly enough. Everyone thinks, in some weird, messed-up reality, that if he were a monster instead... he would be obsessed with collecting human trinkets.
Everyone is a bit disturbed by how someone so bubbly and happy all the time is the Foundation's harvester... How can he smile almost every moment (save for the times he pouts instead) of every day, and pluck out fangs, claws, wings, and more without even a bit of grimace? Is there... something different about him?
Little do they know, there is. And what is it?
You, of course!
The most feared monster, who almost everyone wants dead because you kill, ravage, and devour and human you see... Saved him.
He remembers it clearly. Water in his lungs as his body quickly rushed downstream... When he wakes, it's not for long, but he can see your face and recognizes you. You're... the monster of all time, and... your hand is on his chest bring him back to life.
No one knows he's here just to see you again. It's the reason he doesn't hunt, but rather waits... and hopes all his collections can woo you over.
... Even if it means getting a bit of human pieces for you too. No one knows that, though...! After all, no one wants to touch Rielle's personal harvests, for fear of upsetting the foundation's golden boy. So... they won't ever find some... not very monster collections.
Minhaj Al Rajah, who's the Surveyor for the foundation. One of the few workers that no one thinks is a weirdo or extremely terrifying. To add on to his perfection, his maps and locations are perfect...! Just like Rielle, he also counts as a hunter. He actually even goes out to the field occasionally with other factions to better his maps. He's always diligently marking where a beast's lair, nest, hibernation spot, and so on, with markers. Each color represents something. He tells people what some of them mean, and others remain a mystery.
That's just because he's smart, though. Some of the colors he keeps "secret" don't have a reason to be at all. He just does it, so he doesn't have to tell anyone what the gold markers mean. There's so few...
Because they're placed where he has no doubt that he saw you. You agreed to help him... and you did... So... he wants to repay the favor.
...
"Help me escape." You perk up from the arm you're eating, tilting your head. In the blink of an eye, you're an inch away from him. He jumps back at the sudden proximity, but closes back in when you don't do anything.
It's really... all or nothing.
"You... pretty boy... who work for killers... who kill me..." he watches you circle him, your claw on his skin as you walk around him.
"I do. But I'm not trying to kill you." You quirk a brow, obviously suspicious of his statement.
"What... Then...?" You smile, suddenly stopping. "Give soul?"
"... Maybe." You frown. "But I have a better return." You wait for the supposed 'better'."I'm meant to get married soon." You frown. This concerns you... how? "I want you to pretend we're desperately in love. That I would give up everything for you. As if we're already married." ... huh. "And eat all the government officials." A moment pauses... And he freezes when you jump on him, hugging him as if this is some awesome birthday present.
... and here he is.
Trying to find his pretend spouse who ate every snobby government official in his home.

Preview: The typical fairytale storyline you remember seeing on your TV when you were younger. Not much to say except… You're the princess/hero… and the villains are your friends…? It's weird, but okay… All you have to do is relive the story and get out… You can do that…! Wait… What do you mean the villain(s) fall for you?!
Pairing(s): Queen of Hearts!Riddle Rosehearts x Reader (A good amount of Heartslabyul x Reader)
Cw: Possessive Traits, Obsession, not Overblot Riddle (but imagine he's wearing the outfit), he tries locking you up in his castle, some violence, A bit of fluff, some details aren't in the actual tale but things I made up to fit the Wonderland theme, some characters speak nonsense, Riddle is Queen and you're King(Gn)
Tale I: The Queen of Hearts and His Dearest
You run through the wacky terrain of Wonderland. Water that streams up, deer made of cards, and smiling cats with no bodies. You have no clue how you got here, nor where that white rabbit is, but… all of that doesn't matter. Especially not when your blue wear has been stained with red paint.
And…
"Who has been painting my roses red?" A dominating voice mutters, but your head remains looking down into the grass. For a moment, you glance up. Your eyes peek through the red paint that has dripped all over your head, and you see the queen and all his tyranny. Not only that, but… He's… "Who has been painting my roses red!?" You bury your face in the grass once more, hoping he won't see you. "It seems someone will lose his head today." The words stir up something in the soldiers next to you.
You look to your side. You're met with what should be 2D cards next to you, but instead, a familiar face. No… faces.
"Not me, your grace! The Ace! The Ace!" A soldier dressed in spades proclaims.
"You?" The queen spits.
"No! The Deuce!" the man dressed in an ace exclaims.
"The deuce you say?"
"Not me! The Trey!" The recognizable clover soldier furrows his brows at the statement.
"Enough!" You use his anger to flee at the same time. You jump from your spot, the bucket falling off your head in the process, "Off with their—!" Unfortunately, before you can even make it to the rose garden… Two arms reach out and take hold of your own, keeping you in place. You stop flailing when the feeling of a cold metal staff pokes your back, the heart ornament taking hold of your collar and dragging you to the floor. The deuce and club look at each other before gazing at you with pity. The queen looms over you as you look up at him, his shadow overcasting the sun. Yep, there's no doubt, "and who might you be?" The familiar red face, glare in his eyes at the rule-breaking… "A person." That's quite rare here, isn't it… You glance once at the flat-faced cards that stand behind him.
This queen is definitely Riddle Rosehearts.
And… if the truth of these legends is the tale you're in, then you might die at the hands of your very own admirers.
"Yes… uhm, I'm…" You jump when the same staff pulls you up by your clothes once more, forcing you to your knees. You cautiously watch as Riddle walks in circles around you. You open your mouth, but like before, he gently taps different parts of your body, making you straighten.
"Look up," He tilts your chin up with the cold metal. "Speak nicely." He gently taps your throat. "And don't twiddle your fingers!" he breaks apart your fidgeting hands, forcing you to keep them at your side. "Turn out your toes." Okay, so he's worse here, it seems… "Curtsy." You notice the way he smiles a bit at that word, using his finger to force you to bow rather than his staff. You can feel the warmth of his fingertip on your skin. "Open your mouth a little wider." Hesitantly, you do so, Riddle's enjoyment evident. It's as if he were the way you first met him once again! "And always say…" He steps closer, your eyes made to look up at him from where you curtsy, "Yes, your majesty." For a moment, you grimace, but one glance at familiar faces who could've had their own necks chopped reminds you you're in no place to disobey.
"Yes, your majesty!" He hums in approval at your greeting, patting your head in pride. When he walks away, you're unsure whether to follow or not. It's only when you see Ace mouthing 'Go! GO!' in the corner of your eye, do you trail behind. "Now… Where did you come from? Where are you going?" Riddle throws one of the failed white roses to the side, placing a properly painted one in your hair as he walks to the un-birthday party table.
"I am… trying to find my way home—"
"Your way?" he stops, your body bumping into his back at the sudden halt. You tense when he turns to face you, a prominent vein in his forehead. "It is my way! Always my way—!" You can tell he's on the verge of a beheading shout, and so in a panic, you place your hands on his shoulders, holding tight. His eyes widen at the contact, glancing down at your touch.
"Yes… Yes! Your Majesty! Always your way… Yes…! your majesty…" You might have overdone it, but you'd rather that than anger him more. As far as you're concerned, there's no rule for that. You hope… "Forgive me…? I was just thinking—" His eyes remain focused on your fingers, before suddenly snapping back at you.
"… Curtsy while you're thinking. It saves time." You let go the moment he attempts to walk out of your hold.
"Yes…! I was only going to ask—"
"I will ask the questions." He snaps.
One glance at the card soldiers, and you recognize the pitying stares on Ace and Deuce, all as Trey sighs at the sight.
… At this rate, how will you ever get home…?
You freeze when a finger is on your chin once again. Your head turns back to Riddle as he makes you look at him. "Do you play… Croquet?" From the few times you've played at Heartslabyul… Unfortunately—
"Yes, your majesty… I do."
"Then let the games begin!" he smiles, his eyes watching you. When you hesitantly return the expression, the smile seems to finally reach his eyes.
It has been… 2 months… since you've arrived in a bizarre, twisted fairytale world. And you still… have no way home! How is it possible for a person to travel to a different world twice?!
"You broke rule 339." Cater looks at you with his head resting on his arm, elbow placed on the table's surface. You snap out of your thoughts, looking up at a familiar friend who's no longer a friend.
"… Right. After a meal, tea must be lemon tea with 2 sugar cubes…" You mutter, but you don't seem very concerned. Especially since that must be your Fourteenth rule broken in the past few weeks.
Weeks…
Why are you still here?!
"Mhm." He hums, tilting his head to the other side. "Yet our queen still hasn't beheaded you." He should be painting the roses currently, but you can see he's left the other diamond soldiers to the task. "I think he likes you." You sputter at the notion, quickly regaining your composure.
"Riddle—I mean the Queen…? No, there's no way he would."
You're Alice. Well, not literally, just her role in the story as far as you can assume. You don't have her appearance or her age, but… You can tell you're the lost wanderer trope. Even more so… You're 100% sure the queen doesn't have feelings for Alice. Considering, well—
You jump when Cater appears right next to you. Wasn't he just across the table…?
"It's not that surprising, is it?" If he had his phone in this world, you're sure he'd pull you in close like he always did and click that button before you were even ready. He twiddles with his fingers instead, as if something's missing for him, but he doesn't know what… He props his head on his hand while staring at you through his lashes. "You're something new. Not heard of in Wonderland. It's adorbs." He stares at you like you've cured the disease called mundane and normal… even though he quite literally lives in the least normal place in fiction.
"A lot of things aren't heard of here…" You fix the diamond accessory on his card soldier uniform. "No waterfall flows upstream while 2D deer of card walk up it."
"You can see those anywhere." he lets you, his eyes blinking like his own camera shutter. Remembering the visitor from another world. "Not every day I see someone so picture-worthy." his voice lacks the usual upbeat. When you quirk an eyebrow at him, he sits back up, as if he didn't let his voice drop, grabbing you harshly by the arm. Not for any particular reason.
"Cater…?"
"What if you became one of the talking frames in the castle?" His grip softens.
"And be stuck here forever?"
"It's better than your head rolling, yeah? You're just too cute to be a decoration!" Why are those your only options…?!
"… No." He deadpans for a split moment before dramatically slouching in his chair, his hand wrapped around your wrist.
"Aww. And I wanted to hang with you… You're so different to be with." In any other case, the better word would be fun, but… You ponder the usage of different. You hold your arm up, allowing Cater to hold it from the angle. "Our Queen isn't too happy about that either. He probably feels the same pain."
Why is he talking in present tense…?
"Cater—"
"Oh! It's time for you to play croquet!" He sits up, dusting off your lap as if there was something there before pulling you to your feet and walking.
"But the Queen isn't here—"
"You're playing with the Treys today!"
… There goes your escape plans… or… planning.
…
"You're a bit off!" Despite Cater telling you it's time to play, it was more accurately 15 minutes before you were meant to. And so, here you are, having Cater coach you on how to swing a flamingo.
"Then show me how to do this…!" You've played so many times at this point, but somehow you still can't play right… You're about to put the Flamingo down before a pair of gloved hands hold onto yours. Cater stands behind you, his arms lifting yours too. And with a swing, the hedgehog goes through. To be fair… it seemed to have a grand time disobeying you before listening to Cater…
"See?" You turn your head, Cater smiling behind you. His hands still hold onto your flamingo. A moment lingers before he finally lets go, sitting back as you play. "You're off again!"
"No I'm not." You deadpan, pulling back the bird beak as Cater smiles, leaning in on his hands.
"Yeah, you're not—"
"No, you are." You both jump at the stern voice. But, well… Riddle wasn't meant to be back yet…! It's too early in his schedule for him to be back. "Diamond, do leave us."
Cater stares for a moment, one for Riddle and two for you, before he bows and walks. He takes one glance back, but nothing more, for he still wants to keep his head on his shoulders.
"Your Majesty…" You curtsy out of reflex, Riddle's heels somehow clicking against the grass. You think it's Wonderland logic. When a second passes, you quickly stand straight before Riddle can fix your posture for you. "You look like you had a beheading afternoon."
"What?" With the way he glares at your words, you almost curl in on yourself before remembering that would probably get you poked again. "Are you saying I have no head?"
"No no no, not at all, Your Majesty. I am saying," … Oh crap, what were you even trying to say there…?! What would Alice say…? "I meant that your head looks quite nice on your shoulder. Such a lovely red that no head could compete even on someone's body!" What does that even mean..?
Despite your horrible wording, a familiar expression adorns his face. The one he always pulled when someone was being foolish, but not quite enough to garner his rage. It brings you a sense of comfort. Like, you're simply sitting at a library table with Riddle as Ace utters something inconceivable.
"Riddle—"
"Since when were you allowed to say the Queen's name?" … that's not good.
"Please forgive me, your majesty—"
"Apologizing for a broken rule you did not commit is a crime." Okay, you're sick of the nonsense this wonderlandian version of Riddle keeps spewing…!"
"Yes, of course it is…" You actually don't follow, but you're not risking your head for this…!
"Well then, it is time for Tea."
"But Trey—"
"I SAID IT IS TIME FOR TEA!" … Even your Riddle never had a temper this horribly easy to enrage…
Tea is spent following every tea time tradition Wonderland has to offer, which is a whole lot of nothing and everything all at once. And somehow, it has ended with you and Riddle about to drink from the same cup… If this, well, wasn't the Tyrant Queen of Wonderland, you're quite sure Riddle would consider the idea scandalous.
"D-Drink from the same bottle…?!"
"Riddle, it's not that deep."
"To you it might not be, but the exchange of saliva could be considered—"
"A kiss."
"Yes. This is quite a big deal for me. Especially my mother…"
"And why is that?"
"You should only kiss your spouse."
"People kiss outside of marriage all the time."
"Well, I will not be one."
"Do I have to marry you for you to hydrate?" He jolts at the idea. You don't think in disgust, but rather in embarrassment.
"Do not talk down to me…! I will simply buy my own drink."
"If you say so." You put the bottle to your lips, and for a moment, Riddle's eyes linger. Before you can catch him, he's already looking away.
"You are not allowed to think about others in the presence of the queen." Riddle sticks the teacup to your lips, the tea going down your throat without warning.
"Ack—! Y-Your Majesty…! You can't just make me drink when I'm not…! Blegh… Ready…" You put your hand up to slightly push the cup away.
"We are not drinking." Then what have you been doing this whole time… "We are kissing."
"… What…?"
"You have been here for—How long?" You assume he's signaling for an answer. When you open your mouth though… "For however long I think you've been." You don't think you'll ever get used to this version of Riddle… "And that is long enough to know the rules."
"Ah, yes, Your Majesty… I know the rules, but do you know the rule?" If this were your Riddle, he would deadpan and tell you you're being foolish.
"You question your Queen?" You quickly grab his hands, putting them in your lap.
"No no no! I question myself!" Pfft, no you don't. "I question if I know the rules by you knowing the rules! Because if you don't know, then I must not know either!" Wonderlandian is easy. Simply talk nonsense and hope your head doesn't roll.
Riddle takes his hands off your lap. His black claw ring slowly traces up, tapping your shoulder once, before swiftly taking hold of your chin.
"Rule 803, a kiss must be shared between the queen and betrothed through a teacup to make the arrangement official." He smiles at the rule.
"…"
You spit out the tea, and Riddle stares in disbelief.
"Did you just break a rule right in front of the Queen?" You stay silent. A single mantra repeats in your head.
Please be in love with me. Please be in love with me. Oh my gosh, please be in love with me. I don't want to die!
"Ahhh… No, of course not… Uhm, I just—" Quiets you down with a wave. Staring back at the tea. Once again… another broken rule overlooked. Your dust down your blue wear, scooting closer to Riddle. "Forgive me, Your Majesty, I didn't mean…"
"It is no matter. You are mine anyway." He says it so normally it freaks you out, and somehow it's the craziest thing he has said to you so far.
"… Huh?"
"In the end, I am the Queen. My rules are my rules, and I can have there be rules or no rules whenever I want." Well, that is sort of a guarantee, but—"And I can have whatever I wish, as it is a rule. Therefore, you are mine, and I am right."
"Ahhh. Of course, my Queen, it only makes sense." Going back is gonna be much harder… "So, I should find you a present since I am wholeheartedly yours!" Slowly, you get up from the chair and quickly curtsy before running away. You only make it 3 steps before a bush blocks your path.
The sound of a gavel hitting the table makes you jump. When did he get a gavel?? Before you even have any time to process it, a crowd of card soldiers surrounds you two, including 4 other faces you know all too well.
"I declare a new rule. My human can no longer leave this castle. Adjourned!"
… You're so done with this place.
…
You're thrown back into the premises by the foot. By the arm. By your clothes. Each soldier is different because every time you try a new exit…
Everywhere you go, you're caught! You thought some of them were supposed to be idiots with what you remember from the story… but you guess they're very dedicated to their Queen.
Ace vehemently stands in place as your hands push against his chest, using all your might to push him. If this were your Ace? You would totally be able to tackle him down. But now? This guy is a trained soldier who won't budge from his spot at all…!
"Ugh…! Move it, porcupine head!" You're about to kick him before he dodges. You take the chance to run past him, but you're spun back around, Ace's arm around your waist. "You're so annoying even here…!"
"What does that mean?!?" He clutches his chest, very clearly hurt by the comment. "Mann, sometimes I don't get you! One moment you're chill and even brushing up on me as you laugh, and now you're tryna kick me in my cards and break the most lethal rule ever!"
"Lethal? How is it lethal?" He looks at you like you just asked him a stupid question.
"His Majesty said if you're even a foot outside of the castle grounds, it's all our heads." He points his finger, circling it around in the around. You grimace at the sentence before realizing something.
"… And you didn't think to tell me that before I tried running away?!"
"I didn't know you were even gonna run in the first place!" An idiot just like your own…!
Your back falls onto the rose garden bush behind you, a hand dragged across your face as you slowly fall.
Ow, ow, ow ow, ow.
That was stupid. But what's more stupid than the thorns in your back is the fact you can't even leave the castle anymore… What if your exit is somewhere in the rest of Wonderland…? You're probably meant to follow the story's plotline, but somehow you ran into the Queen before you could even go to the Hatter's tea party…!
"… I wanna go home," you mutter under your breath. Ace watches the way you sit on the floor, especially how you only continue to put more thorns in your back. He sighs, finally leaving his post to pull you from your spot, plucking each thorn from your side.
Weirdly enough, it only hurts for a moment. Now they smell like cotton candy. Wonderland is weird…
"Why do you wanna leave so bad, huh?" He dusts off his hand when he finishes, sitting down in a way where his leg blocks you from the bush.
"Your Queen is a Tyrant."
"… Okay yeah, but it's not that bad." You deadpan at him. "… There's gotta be other things that aren't that bad here…"
"Like what?" Your eyes focus on the exit. Left wide open because the guard meant to stand there is instead rubbing your back to soothe your pain.
"Like…" He hesitates, watching your side profile with a sort of embarrassment he's never known. "… Man, never mind." You both sigh in unison. He may be a different person, but… so far he's the most familiar you'll get. Slowly, you lay down, resting your head in his lap. "… What are you—"
"Let me rest up before Mr.Queen comes and suffocates me with wedding planning…"
"Ace!" You groan at the yelling, but with the familiar voice… You know who it is that's calling.
"Bro, can you quiet down? It's not time for yelling. That happens during yelling day. You should know this by now." Ace sighs, leaning back as the Spade Soldier walks up to him from behind.
"Of course I know that…!" Deuce taps his black spear in the ground next to Ace. "You're meant to be guarding the exit. We can't let the smiling squirrels have their crying parties here again, or His Majesty is gonna go crazy."
"Why do you care so much?"
"He's our Queen?" He pauses for a moment, sighing. "Besides… You know we can't let [Name] out." Ace stops talking, as if luring Deuce to keep talking. "Not just for the Queen but… us too, you know."
"Mmm, don't know what you're talking about." Does Deuce not realize you're here?
"You know exactly what I'm talking about! The castle feels a bit lighter when they're around and I—we, like talking to them and they're pretty and funny and fun to hang out with—" you pop up. Both of them look at you.
"Hi Deuce." You wave, the Spade soldier's mouth slightly agape.
"Y-you… heard all that?" Should you save him embarrassment or do what you usually do…?
"Yup." His hand finds his mouth, covering it as he stands.
"Bro…" He whispers under his breath, but you can hear it clearly. You stand up, Ace following behind you as you walk towards Deuce. Your eyes glance at the exit once more. You could run…
"Don't worry. I think it's sweet." Deuce presses his lips together, obviously still embarrassed over how obvious he was with his feelings toward you. "I appreciate that you find my company that enjoyable."
"Well… It's you, so…" You can hear Ace snicker behind you, and you're sure Deuce does too. "You got something to say?"
"Yeah. That was funny as hell." You drown out the sounds of their bickering.
"…"
You make a quick run as they're busy with each other, both of them turning in unison to the way you run.
1 foot out.
2 feet out.
3 feet.
...4
...5
...6—
A firm arm quickly grabs your waist, hoisting you above a soldier. There should be something hard to stab you in your stomach from the uniform. This isn't the first time it's happened… however, right now, it seems Deuce took off his coat before putting you there. He's the first to do it.
You couldn't even make it 7 feet out before getting grabbed again. Unless…
"I'm really sorry, Deuce…! Love you!" You quickly shout it out before your next action.
"Wha—?!"
"What?!"
You kick off of him, your body falling on the floor before you swiftly push yourself up and run.
...7
...8
...9
… 10…!
"Wait…! [Name], please come back…!" Deuce is a fast runner. He most definitely would've caught up to you… if he wasn't standing in shock at your sudden "I love you". Ace had already taken off before him, but he's not nearly as fast, and before they know it…
"Bye-byee." A familiar smiling cat takes you away.
"… Bro. We're so dying when His Majesty finds out—" Ace jolts when a presence is felt.
"Find out what?" Silence… Riddle glances around. "… Where is my Rose?"
"Am I here? Or am I there?"
"Chenya, stop it…! You're the Cheshire, so I know you know what's going on!"
"Do I? Or don't I?" You groan, crouching down as you bury your head in your knees. "Maybe I know how it happened. But maybe I know who you are." That doesn't help… "Maybe I know how to get you home." You perk up.
"Yes…! That's what I want—!"
"But don't you think this could be your home?" You droop back down. "… Or maybe, you need to live the full story." Chenya has somehow appeared behind you, his tail grazing you as he circles.
"I already thought of that, but the tea party isn't where it's meant to be…" You finally sit down, the laughing flowers giggling at your misery.
"When a book is being read, you don't read it backwards." But then you wouldn't be living the story…? "Even without every party, a story is still a story until it's finished." The flowers stop laughing.
"The trial." When Alice is framed by the Cheshire and made to stand in court before the Queen… However, since you've apparently broken the most lethal rule, you already have a reason to stand at trial. "Chenya—"
"[Name]."A gentle voice speaks up. You know it's not their usual tone, but they're using it with you. Chenya seems to have disappeared because he knows this needs to happen. When you turn, you see him.
"Trey." He would usually smile when you call his name out, but his face looks pensive. "… We're surrounded, aren't we?" He doesn't say anything. Instead, he sits next to you. You look away, while he looks right at you. He throws his spear aside, presumably in an attempt to ease your tensions.
"Riddle is close." He mutters. You assumed so. "He's not very happy you ran away." You assumed that too. "I know the castle isn't exactly the most freeing place in the kingdom, but… It is safer there than out here."
"The Jabberwocky?"
"And more. We do have trees that turn people upside down for the rest of their lives." He laughs like it's normal. Probably is for him. For you, however, you're left pondering how wondrous this place really is…
"Trey… I just… want to go home…" He frowns, but makes it disappear when he places a hand on your shoulder.
"What's over there for you?" For the first time, someone asks without the underlying intent of making you stay.
"Well, technically it's not home home, but…" You glance at him. "I have you guys there." He tilts his head.
"Us?" His hand remains rested on you, showing a growing comfort in your spiel.
"Different versions but, yeah." He listens intently. "I know you guys well over there. You're good at baking." He pauses. "Are you good here?" You know that somehow.
"I… would say I'm average." His hand finally falls, placed only right next to yours.
"He would say that too." You mutter. "… Only thing that's different is you're a trained soldier and sometimes speak crazy…"
"Do we speak crazy? I thought it was fine." His fingers twitch, his eyes looking down at your hand.
"Yeah, I only realized it when you guys would switch the way you talk with me." Do they do that? He never noticed… "Trey?" He hums. "You don't want me to leave either, do you?" he's quiet, letting the silence speak for him.
"I think that's just normal though." His hand inches closer. "Who wouldn't want you to stay after changing the routine in the castle?" The purple light of the forest does good in showing off your eyes. "The same rules, the same schedule, the same rule breakers who have their heads taken. It only ever changes when Riddle occasionally decides a new rule is right and should be changed." You can hear it. He's changing tones. "Then the sun laughed, and you danced into the rose garden, or did the rose garden dance you in? No no, maybe the paint just spilled you into our castle. But you came. And then you laughed, and we laughed. Then you looked perfect, so we looked at perfect whenever—" He snaps out of it. His hand leaves your side. You think speaking in Wonderland has you reveal deep feelings in poetic nonsense without meaning to. "Sorry… What I was trying to say, though, was you are a well-needed retreat from our duties."
"… I get that." You linger. "But I don't belong here."
"We know." We…? "But you found your way there, didn't you?"
"I mean, I did, but I still have another home…"
"I know, I know… But it is nice to find comfort somewhere unfamiliar." You feel like there's more he wants to say. But he's holding off to improve your impression of him. It doesn't matter though, because someone else can say it for him.
"You can make a new home here."
Riddle appears from the shadows, a gaze of anger on his expression. However, it's overpowered… by the betrayal on his face.
You're on trial. At least… You hope so.
Currently, you're alone with Riddle in his room as he paces back and forth, watching from outside the window as his card soldiers can be spotted moving around everything needed.
"Riddle—"
"Silence…! Silence from you…" He waves his hand. "Do not think I will fall for your misbehavior just because you say my name…!" He frowns, watching you lying down on his bed. Apparently, you should be held in a man-eating flower-holding cell as you wait, but Riddle took you before you could be placed there. "… What did the cat tell you?"
"… Nothing."
"Lying to your queen is against the rules. Do not stack your sentences." … You might not get away with breaking rules this time… Your sentence might not be a beheading, but something much worse…
"… Chenya told me how to get home."
"You know his name?" No way he's jealous right now… "… No matter." He grimaces. "And how is that?"
"To live the rest of the story." You don't tell him what exactly "the rest of the story" is. Riddle is silent. Maybe you should guide him away from the truth… "A tea party." He perks up. "A tea party is what I need to leave…" You slowly sit up on the mattress. "My Queen… please grant me one?" He looks at you before a gavel sounds on the table in front of him.
"New rule. No more tea parties. Adjourned!" No card soldiers were present this time, but… you don't think it matters. If he says it goes, it goes. And… if he were to back out of your running away trial… you need to make sure there is an absolute chance it will happen.
"… You really banned tea parties just so I couldn't leave?" You make your way across the absurdly large bed until you're at its edge, facing Riddle.
"No. I banned tea parties because I wanted to. And my word is always right." He glances your way. "And you will realize that Wonderland is right for you as well."
"Riddle?" He hums. "… Why do you want me to stay so bad?"
"…" He's silent.
"Everyone else says they like me because I disrupt order. Isn't that the exact opposite of what you want?" You watch him walk over to you. "The first time you saw me, the story should've played out the way it was meant to." You don't back away, continuing your words. "Then an hour in and the story is thrown off course…! I mean, when does the Queen want Alice to stay…?!" He stops in front of you. "… Why do you want me?"
"I don't know."
"W-wha… What do you mean you don't know…?" You utter. "You're keeping me in a castle and, apparently, marrying me because… you don't know???"
"You have said it yourself. Wonderland does not make sense. Do I need a reason, other than it's right?" Your breath hitches. "… I realized the moment you swung your flamingo that I had this feeling you're what's right. I do not know why it suddenly happened." He sits down, taking your hand in his. "And then I was only proven right more and more whenever I talked to you." You look out the window as he speaks, watching your trial being set. "I think that is why I was never made to have another by my side." You come to a grim realization. "Wonderland was waiting for you."
This tale was never the original in the first place.
The Villains, are destined to fall in love with you, no matter what.
"Riddle… what happens if I'm found innocent?"
"You're rewarded to be by my side as King." He says it so calmly, as if it's expected.
"… Guilty?"
"Married to me."
It's then that you have a realization. This trial won't go the way it's meant to, is it? Your story doesn't end when the trial is over… it will keep going… Until it ends a different way.
A knock is heard, and four familiar faces greet you.
"The courtroom is ready."
…
"I call to the stand a witness! Ace Trappola!" You stand on the podium, watching as cards, bunnies, hares, and so on look around until they find him. Rather than a genuine judge, Riddle remains with a gavel in hand, Trey asking the questions for him.
"Is it true this human has stolen the Queen's heart and planned to run away?"
"The Queen is the Queen of Hearts? Even if they did, he has some to spare." Does that even make any sense…? "But they did sleep in my lap, so does that count as treason?" What…??? "Man, they hung out with my hedgehog too…! Guilty!" He's a witness! He can't say you're guilty!?
"We accept!" It's obvious that if the other two witnesses are who you think they are… You're definitely getting the sentence. "Next to the stand, Deuce Spade!" the process repeats. However, even you're shocked when Deuce appears by your side. "Is it true this human is bad at croquet?"
"Well—" You cover Deuce's mouth, the soldier easily letting you. His hand even holds on to your arm as if… helping you shut him up.
"Objection! How does that relate?" The hares and bunnies snarl at you for questioning their queen. You can tell ones about to shout before—
"If anyone yells at my King, it is off with your head!" They immediately sit down and cower. "It relates because I say so. Overruled!" You sigh, taking your hands off of Deuce to let him continue.
"Yes, they are horrifically horrible." Of course that's the only statement that isn't complete nonsense… "Not guilty!" Your eyes sparkle.
"We accept the guilty verdict!" You genuinely can't win in this story, can you?
"Next to the stand… Cater Diamond!" Everyone looks, but… He's nowhere. "Cater?" You look around as well, turning in your stand before feeling something in your pocket. You have no idea when they got there… but… You can assume with the sharp smile underneath you who it came from.
"I-I'm here!" Cater quickly runs to his place, wiping sweat off his forehead.
"Being late is against the rules, Cater." Riddle's domineering voice echoes in the court. "It will be off—!"
"I was chasing Chenya, Your Majesty!" The Diamond quickly shouts before his sentence is called out. "It looked as if he had the mushrooms that could grow a person a mile high!"
"That is no good, yes, Rule 42 states anyone over a mile high must exit the courtroom, indeed." He crosses his legs. "You shall keep your head." He waves him off, Cater visibly relaxing, to which you rub his back. "Trey! Continue with the trial." He nods.
"Is it true they are right?" Cater pauses at the question. Pondering for a moment, and pondering…
"In what way?" Cater glances at you for one moment, before turning back.
"I think you know." Trey and Cater exchange a glance, a silent agreement. One that Riddle doesn't need to be a part of, because he knows exactly what they mean. Whispers are heard, several Wonderland residents muttering what's, who's, and where's.
"Mmm…" He turns again. Your eyes finally meet. "For me, for you, for them, for who?" his hand holds the same wrist he held just a few weeks ago. Everyone stares at him, even Riddle leaning forward in his chair. "This cutie is perfect everywhere." You furrow your brows. "Inside and out." Everyone awaits one more sentence. "They are just right."
The sound of a gavel harshly hitting its stand over and over again sounds throughout the court. It catches everyone off guard, so much so that Cater pulls you closer and Deuce steps forward. The sound is only slightly muffled by Ace's hand covering your ears.
"Guilty! Guilty! You are Guilty!" Riddle repeats it over and over again, until suddenly stopping. "Now come home with us—" A scream cuts him off, mice and lobsters scurrying away.
"It's the Cheshire!"The name immediately causes Riddle to scowl.
"Get him… GET HIM!" Every soldier in the room immediately flies after Chenya, his purple form disappearing and reappearing with a smile. In the split second, though, you can see him mouth a word to you.
Eat
You quickly take the mushrooms out of your pockets, hurriedly eating them, and waiting for the effect. The chase of the cat suddenly stops when the Future King grows to be a mile high.
"Rule 42," You parrot, "I need to get out, don't I, Riddle?" You take one step back, every Wonderland civilian moving out of your way. You can see a familiar expression. His face is bright red as a vein clearly pops out of his forehead. He lifts his gavel, and you know in that moment, if you don't get out, he'll recall the rule and a million soldiers will be on you once again. You swing your arm back and break the court walls, making a quick escape.
"Forget Chenya… Get them… GET THEM NOW!" The cat chase is immediately forgotten in favor of taking back their runaway king. Such desperation that their Queen joins them in the chase.
…
You're already back to your normal size. But you continue to run, as the sounds of soldier and their spears clinking against each other are enough to remind you you're being chased. But you can see it.
There's… a fuzzy sight of yellow in the distance. You can smell dust and sun from it though… and you know it's your exit—
You scream when you're tackled to the side by red, white, and black fabric.
"Riddle…! Riddle—Please let me go…!" He covers your mouth, letting thousands of his card soldiers pass you by. Only four of them catch and linger behind, and they're familiar, of course. His eyes stare at you, slightly teary, before letting his hand fall.
"… What's so bad about us?" He mutters.
"… What? There's… There's nothing wrong."
"Why can't you just pretend we are the same people you know?" The other four have closed in, creating an effective guard circle around you two. "Why can't you just stay…?!" You grab hold of his shoulders, forcing him to look at you this time.
"Because you're not…! You're not them…!" For a moment, they all look hurt. It's only Ace who speaks up.
"Yeah, we're not. But you can't even try to just enjoy it here?" You frown at him, letting Riddle pull you into his arms as his head rests there. "You ever think you're miserable because you kept thinking about them?" You pause.
"I'm not miserable because I'm thinking about them."
"… Then what?" Deuce whispers, not looking at you when he asks. Your eyes stare at him, though. Well… not him but rather… The lone smile behind him. Trey catches on immediately.
"What are you looking at?" Trey asks, looking in the same direction. Riddle doesn't speak, but his grip tightens as if he knows you'll make a run for it.
"There…!" Cater throws the spear, but it misses. And the smile appears behind you.
"Aww, group hug~" Chenya's arms wrap around your waist, but before Riddle can even look up, your cold air.
When they look, they can see Chenya carrying you over to that golden light.
"No… no… no..! " His face turns red once more. "It's forbidden… IT'S FORBIDDEN TO LEAVE! BECAUSE I SAY SO!"
They're all running after the two of you. When you look over Chenya's shoulder, you shout at Riddle.
"Then we can get married!" You feel your body thrown into the air. "Next time you see me." You look back at Chenya, a big smile on his face for the last time.
“Say hi to RSA for me~”
… What?
They all reach for you, but you're already gone.
…
Riddle paces back and forth in his room. He never thought he would have a reason to travel outside of Wonderland… but it seems he's found one.
And he'd be a fool to just let you get away with breaking not only his rules…
But his heart.
You fall flat onto the dirt path. Your hands fly everywhere. Your face, your neck, your clothes. Finally... You've made it out!
...
The smile on your face fades when the scenery you're met with isn't Ramshackle, but a savanna. Not only that… your ears feel weird—why are you a lion-beast man right now?!
Your face buries itself into your hands as you kick the floor.
No, no, no ,no ,no…!
"My Queen!" You jolt at the title. A tiny lion beast man bows before you. "Leona is at the Pride! You must come quickly!"
Helloo lalyy!! Hope you’re having a great day or night reading this, I just wanted to say I really really love BBD and how much the development of the game has grown! The amount of effort you put into this game is so admirable! Please take rests, don’t overwork yourself and always take care of yourself!! Cant wait to see what’s stored up in the next shifts (≧∀≦)!!
Idk if this is asked already but can we know, by rank who among the LIs is the best at heating up mc during a cold night- or in other words a human heater? :3c I gotta know for research purposes (Lud and serkan too pls hehe)
Thank youu! ╰(*´︶`*)╯!!
THANK YOU MY PRECIOUS HONEY!!🥰💖💖 i will work hard for you!💖 thank you for this question it was fun! xD (i interpret "cold night" as cold night outside the store for example xD)
1 - BB
of course BB is the obvious answer. hes physically conditioned, broad and used to sleeping in environments where comfort isnt exactly guaranteed, so hed take his "task" very seriously.
"if you intend to lean against me, do so properly. half measures will only leave you cold."
hed just stand there completely still while MC slowly migrates onto his chest like a cat. eventually, hed wrap his arms around her once he feels shes comfortable.
"the solution is me."
2 - Serkan
Serkan isnt the biggest guy, so he doesnt have the sheer surface area of BB, but hed still be very very good at it and would have no idea that hes good at it. xD
"you dont have to move away. youre… youre not bothering me."
hed rub her hands between his to warm them up, give her his clothes etc... he desperately wants MC to be comfortable, but hes overthinking every possible interpretation of helping her.
"is this too... intimate...?"
3 - Amelia
Amelia is naturally warm and she wouldnt make a big thing out of cuddling. shed prob just notice MC is cold, sigh, and pull her against her.
arm around her, legs tangled, head against her shoulder... whatever works.
"youre welcome to stay there until youre warm again. im not going anywhere, angel."
4 - Lane
Lane is also super warm in general, like his sister (probably because of his gamer sweat 💀) but hed probably use the situation to make jokes and wouldnt really focus on heating MC up because hed be slightly embarrassed that shes clinging to him. xD
"...eh yo. if anyone walks in and sees this, im gonna have to explain that im not your boyfriend. yet."
honestly, hed just be annoying about it.
"bro, why are women always cold, damn..."
5 - Ludwig
Ludwig would try to be the human heater. the problem is that hed probably get distracted by the fact that a non-fictional girl is actually this close to him.
"( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) so... i read that sharing body heat can actually… i mean- yknow, in this context…"
hed just be bad asf at it even tho he could actually be good at it.
"OH GOD A WOMAN IS TOUCHING ME."
6 - RB
this guy isnt cuddly at all. he would probably notice that MC is cold, but he wouldnt try to help her.
"…"
hed probably only react if MC explicitly asked him or if the situation became severe enough that it actually required action.
The post for the Monster!Twst Au and what all the characters would be as monsters is taking a bit longer than expected, I’m struggling with like 5 characters and what they would be along with actually writing them out. Im also working on the 2nd post for the Au at the same time, which sucks but I wanna work on them both. To make up for it here’s what Malleus, Vil and Riddle, would look like as their monster selves (simple sketch) and something just a slight more detailed for Malleus 😔😔
DW you guys it’s coming soon I promise, it’s just taking so long cause i’m writing so much for it 😔😔

since technically it’s cannon the reader in the modern au has pretty privilege for their videos I’m imagining them deciding to play into it for the dumbest ways. Like wearing skimpier clothes that make more sense trying to do everything “hotly” exaggerated groans, randomly jogging in place, “accidentally” spilling water on her top. Much to the monsters confusion.
I like to think they'd be confused and also... really invested.
Monsters who have never been human question for a hot minute why you're so normal off camera, and then the moment you turn it on, you're "struggling" with stuff you never really do. They simply assume it just rakes in more views. Though... some of your actions do remind them of mating rituals in their kind. The only one who is completely aware though is Vil. He's seen it hundreds of times 😭.
Those who were human, however, are confused for a moment before realizing you're fan-servicing the cam. I imagine the moment they do, they don't even explain it to their other roommates. It's already a bit annoying when they know it. The moment they figure it out too? Yeah, your home's turning into a hell.
Instead of snitching on you though, the moment that camera turns on, they probably cover all your fan service with like their hand or something. They stop before you notice though.
It gets to a point though, where the more direct monsters will probably just stop you from doing it in the first place all together.
Spilling water on your shirt? Yeah, an immediate towel thrown to your chest from Trey. A stretch that shows a bit of your stomach accompanied by a moan? Leona's grabbing your waist to pull it back down while bandages block off your mouth. Jogging in place? Ace is jogging with you, right in front of the lens 💀.
Chat/Comments are split between "Get out of the way bruh" and "Shiiiiii can he do that again 🤤"
Maybe at some point, the monsters who didn't get it before finally understand why you're doing all that, and why the others shut it down before it can happen. Everything gets 10x worse because a little skin shown gets one of them to immediately cover you up, which gets another one to yank him back so he can be the one to cover you, and then any variation of fan service turns into a "Don't do that, only I can see" pull by the hair/stabbed by a claw/thrown by a tentacle/squeezed by some invisible darkness/chunk of arm bitten off "No, only I as in only ME can see that" and so on and so forth.
It gets to a point you either give up the fan service or your give up the monsters in your home...
They look satisfied when you stop doing all the mating acts on camera.
...
"Is something the matter?" Rollo dusts off your shoulder as he places your plate in front of you.
"What do you do when your roommates stop you from showing a bit of skin on camera?"
"..."
Rollo doesn't say anything, but this might be the one single time he's grateful you have those monsters in your home... But that's only because he has no idea what they're doing to make you stop.
Preview: The Queen of Hearts killer, notorious for chopping off their victims' heads, seems to also be quite notorious for evading punishment... However, what will you do when that same killer is the same man you've been with for so long? (wc: 2.6k)
Whoever this killer is, the public has decided to title them "The Heart Killer". Despite this murderer's choice of finery not exactly being heart-related, you can tell it's because of the famous fairytale.
"The Queen of Hearts…" you whisper the name under your breath, tilting your head at the number of strings connecting each piece of evidence. You have no idea who this could be…! You slouch in your chair. Even off the job, this case stresses you out. But, to be fair… you're not naive. You can hear them.
They all think you're incompetent… Whispers of replacing the head of the case are clearly heard. Maybe it's not that the killer is hard to catch. Maybe you're just too easy to pass by. It's.. It's infuriating—!
"You seem especially bothered by the case." You jump when you hear a familiar voice. You turn around in your seat, placing your chin on the back of it as you sit backwards to look at Riddle.
"How'd you get in?" Despite the severity of the question, you're not all that bothered. It's Riddle after all… The same little boy you would play family with when his mom couldn't see the two of you break formality.
"You left the door unlocked." He makes his way over, taking a glance at your connections board before covering it from your view. "Again. How many times have I told you to make sure you lock it?" He leans against the table, his hand sliding something behind him.
"Seriously? I swore I locked it… Maybe…" He sighs at your obvious oblivion. "Okay, sorry. I just had so much in my hands that I went straight into figuring it out rather than checking again." He takes a second look at your folder before closing it. "… But I have you to check for me, don't I?"
"Do not think of me as your security checker. You should be doing that on your own."
"But you come over so often. Maybe it's my body instinctively telling me Mr.Rosehearts is coming to make my apartment a home?" He quirks his eyebrow at the statement.
"Home?" He mutters, taking his eyes off your evidence.
"Yeah. It always feels more homey when we're here together, doesn't it?" His eyes slightly widen at the statement. "Like when we played family when your mom wasn't looking." Riddle lies silent for a moment, just watching the way you trail off. He opens his mouth to say something, but, "Do you think I should let it go?" He freezes.
"Let what go…?" Without meaning to, he's taken a step forward.
"… Us." He remains silent, but his eyebrows have furrowed, and his lips are pressed thin. "… Me and this stupid Heart Killer case…!" He doesn't visibly relax, but the tension in his face disappears. "It's pathetic that I'm giving up so easily, but there are no leads other than that they know anatomy well."
"I don't think it's pathetic. You simply know your limits." Weird… he would say the opposite if it were anything else… Or maybe you just don't know Riddle as well as you thought you did… He pauses, as if finally processing what you said. "… What makes you say that?"
"I've probably said too much to someone unrelated…"
"You have done that dozens of times over the years now." You wince at the reminder. You're just breaking confidentiality all over the place when it comes to Riddle, aren't you… "But it is better not to break any codes." He sets down a basket, one you didn't even notice he had brought in the first place. "These reminded me of you. I thought you would like some color that wasn't red." Dried white roses are piled inside. Usually people get living flowers as presents, but per tradition… You glance at the other baskets of flowers in your apartment, all from the same man in front of you. Or at least he was.
When you look, Riddle's already putting his shoes on to exit.
"Wait," Grey eyes stare back at you. "… I think whoever this killer is, they're experienced in the medical field with how easily they seem to sever the head of their victims." A very grim farewell, but Riddle nods at you.
"Goodbye, [Name]"
"Bye, Mr Rosy." He pauses at the nickname before turning your handle. "And do lock the door this time." You wave him off as he leaves. You're too lazy to get up, but… he does have a point.
…
Something flashes through your window.
"I-I'm sorry! It won't happen again…!" Grass shuffles as the man crawls backwards, his eyes scanning in the dark. At first glance, his attacker doesn't seem like quite the powerhouse. In fact, he doesn't think he is. He drags the axe behind him as if it's more of a hassle to carry it normally. And yet… yet…
He took his friend's head clean off.
"It will." The voice is strained, the mask on his face muffling the output. However, peaks of red hair can be seen from behind it. "It will always happen again." This man couldn't even run if he wanted to. Something sliced his Achilles. He doesn't know what, but considering the heart painted on it, he doesn't want to know. "Rule breakers like you don't learn after breaking it." Dirt is grabbed and thrown his way, but it does nothing. "All you do is learn ways to not get caught."
"N-no no…! I swear—swear! I swear I will never even look at them again..! Or a-anyone else…! I'll turn myself in, please… Please, man…!" His back hits a rock. Of course… Of fucking course he has to hit a rock in an empty grass field when he's crawling for his life…!
His attacker stops right in front of him, tilting his head.
"This isn't a good layout for a clean cut." He steps around, the man continuing to kick his unwounded leg in his direction. Yet he remains silent. Just quietly lining up the blade at the right angle. At this point, he seems to have given up, only cussing him out as the moon shines on that cruel axe.
"You can't even feel anything about killing me, you monster…! You heartless monster—!"
"I feel angry." He stops. Slowly, Riddle takes off his mask. His teeth clenched and his skin red as if he were the Queen of Hearts. "Is it so wrong… To follow the law?!" The axe comes down, only hitting the rock above the man's head. "You are… an obstruction. Is it so hard to do what's right?"
"W-wha—" He screams when Riddle pulls his leg, and the back of his head hits a block that extends his neck.
"Did you enjoy breaking the law when you took pictures of them? Did you enjoy it when you knew there were rules and blatantly forgone them simply for your enjoyment?" Riddle brings up the axe, lining it up the way he has dozens of times. "Did you enjoy breaking order?"
…
A murderer of an innocent family recently released.
A stalker.
A recently released tax evader asking for your number.
Your stalker.
A corrupt police officer.
A coworker of yours getting too comfortable.
Your fling.
He has done this so many times, it's almost routine. Leaving the body in more obvious locations that he knows you would be the one to find it first. He just wants to help you in your justice. You're… the perfect form of justice.
Is it so bad to not only do what's right, but for someone like you?
…
"Riddle…?" Bloodied hands freeze, a head falling to the floor. He doesn't even turn around.
"How did you… Why are you here…?" You don't answer for a moment, but he can hear your reach for something.
"… I went over to your place because I… I don't know… I just wanted to…" Your explanation trails off. "Riddle…" Your voice cracks, "What the fuck have you been doing…?!" He finally turns.
"I just wanted to help do what needs to be done to these criminals—"
"You can help by turning them in! Not doing whatever-whatver—!" You gesture at him.
"You know those rule breakers don't learn when they get out, [Name]!"
"Then they go back in, and you don't have your name on a lifetime sentence…!" If he were anyone else, you would've already drawn your weapon and told him to drop to his knees. But he's not anyone else. He's Riddle. Your Riddle. The one that you know is… You look at him with hurt.
"Don't look at me like that. You must know I would never harm you, even now. Even when you see me with this idiot, I won't ever—"
"Don't ever see me again."
"What?" He's heartbroken. He's heartbroken by your words.
"I won't report you. I'll… let you go. But," No, stop it…! "You're not allowed to see me anymore. I can't live knowing the same guy I let sleep in my own home has killed people, especially ones who didn't do anything…!" Stop it…! Stop it…!
"Wait—" He takes a step forward, but he's met with the same tip that others face when they've been caught.
"I loved you, Riddle, I really did." You should be worried that he'll take back his promise and raise that axe at you. But…
… Huh?
You turn, running away through the tall grass. If he's lying to you, he'll chase you through this field, and you'll either have to act or run even faster. If not, you hope he listens to your pleas and—
You're followed by the sound of grass aggressively being pushed aside as you're sure Riddle's in pursuit. You run faster, because the truth is…
It's a fake.
You were fired, just a mere hour before all of this. Because every case of the Hearts killer… Comes back to you.
"Riddle, wait—!" You fall to your knees when a pin prick sensation is in your neck. You can only assume it's a syringe. But you can't assume anymore. Not when you're already out.
…
Arms gather you in his, his voice muffled as he buries his head in your shoulders.
"I'm sorry… I promise I'll take care of justice when we're home…"
You jolt awake, the sun hitting your eyes strongly. As if there was anything to be happy about… As if these red bed covers and curtains were yours in the first place…!
"Riddle…!" You throw your legs over the mattress. But of course, you shouldn't be naive enough to think it's that easy. You pull your arm, and a clank to the bed frame sounds out through the empty, but extremely well-decorated room. Of course… he cuffed your hand to the bed… A creak from the door has you looking up, staring right at your friend turned captor. “Riddle you bastard—!”
"I am sorry that you had to see that."
“No you’re not! I’m tied to your—” you pause. The bed looks like his. You’ve slept in it dozens of times. The curtains, the walls, down to the rose-scented diffuser, but… “… Riddle, where am I?”
“You’re safe.” His voice is once again calm, as if the knowledge is a “given”.
“No. Stop—where?”
“… A vacation home.” You pause. If it’s that one…
“We’re in the middle of nowhere.”
He stays silent. Slowly making his way to your bedside. The matress dips while you think. You know chances are you'll be stuck with him. Riddle may be a renowned doctor, but you know he doesn't have the means of travel like other wealthy people in society. He never really thought it necessary after all—
…
"I have everything I need here. I have no reason to move, or own something as ludicrous as a helicopter. What on earth even made you ask me that?" Riddle scribbles a circle around the crossword, your legs laid over his lap as you both sit on your couch.
"Just curious. If you had one, you could go lots of places. You don't want to travel? I'm sure with your money and the funds your mom has, you could go anywhere."
"I've already planted my roots here. I don't need to plant anymore." He lets you scoot closer, your eyes watching him. There are so many words…! "And…" His eyes peek over at the way you try figuring out a word that's 15 letters long, "… It's orderly."
…
"We have access to food here if that's what you're wondering." Then that means you could try asking for— "Azul's quite strict on his deliverers giving an order on time, even in the middle of nowhere." Nevermind… "If it's privacy, I will still be out. I still have work." You stiffen. Under normal circumstances, you would simply assume it was hospital work. But now…
You flinch when Riddle's hand finds your wrist, his thumb slipping under the little space there is under the cuff to rub soothing circles.
"I can take care of you. I am experienced in that field after all." There's a bit of smugness in his voice, as if he were once again the Riddle you knew. In a sense, he still is, just now… You know him and his entirety. "… And I will make sure to make up for your absence in the field after all this—"
"I was fired, Riddle."
"… What?" He looks taken aback. He looks upset, but not in an apologetic way. A betrayal.
"They've started thinking I'm connected to all this… Because everything leads back to me."He stops rubbing your wrist, only holding your hand. "They have no idea it's you…" He finally lets go. "What have you done, Riddle?"
"… What have they done, indeed."
"No no, you—"
"I am always right." He says it so matter-of-factly you almost believe it too until you remember who he is. "Just like the law, I follow the right rules. I follow my head." Is he mad? "I follow my heart." He looks at you. "I follow you."
"You're not making any sense—" You pull back when Riddle leans forward.
"You are what's right." He doesn't do anything but talk. Slowly, you reach your free hand up to his chest. As if you finally realize all along why he's done it.
"… Riddle," gray eyes find yours. "Are you in love with me?" his breath hitches before his head falls.
"… What do I have to do…" His arms give up on holding him up, and his head falls on your lap. "… for you to realize I'm right for you…" He falls silent, just longingly staring at nothing. Slowly, your hands reach down, your palm on his red strands.
… You could strangle him right now. You don't think he would even fight back if you did.
…
"I will be back with parfaits for us to eat." He puts a coat on as he finds his keys. "Stay safe." There's really nothing that could jeopardize that anyway…
I love you.
You feel like there was a sentence that should be leaving his mouth, but he only stares, as if chickening out of it. But you can't ask him what it is before he's already slinking out of your room.
You sigh, waiting a moment for the silence to fully envelop you, before finally looking up at the board you've avoided.
Every one of his victims, every one of his plans, every one… of the outcomes. You can tell he waits one month before getting rid of the board. After all, these were only from this month alone.
Now…
How should you go about proving your innocence… before you're officially on that suspect board?
…
As Riddle enters work, his hands practice everything familiar without thought, because currently, all he can think about is having you wait at home for him. In a way, this is all he has ever wanted... but not like... this. How...
How should he keep serving order, and… making you finally realize he's the one for you…?
Can he calm down? It's not like his crush found him murdering people, yo 😭
okay i know you wrote it like two years ago, but i still ponder about the ending of your yan kafka piece. do we die at the end? like, are we a dead body?
It's been so long, I lowkey forgot I wrote about Kafka 💀. If I remember right, though, the whole "Heart's not beating thing" was sort of a metaphor for you not being an individual anymore, having lost your memories of what made you fear Kafka so much. Without your memories, Kafka sort of decides to mould you into sort of the same person but loving her.
(I lowkey think I'd characterize her differently now, though. I think she would never take away your fear of her, just because it's what made you, you. She doesn't want you to be scared of her, of course, but it's the thing that made you so different from her.)

Mom I’m hungry post something pls 😭😭 (fr tho are you ok tho? I’m just checking on you)
Thanks, anon, that's sweet 🥹. Life has just been getting hard recently for the most part, sooooo I haven't been as active as I wished 😭. I haven't written very much or even drawn, unfortunately because of that, so not much to post 💔. I've been trying to warm up my writing skills again, though!
I'm making short, like 1k-2k posts using the SK! Concepts I posted a while back!
As well as another little story idea that's slightly longer <33333 "Wait, that's not how it goes!" where you're thrown into the Disney storylines as the princess (with some story alterations) but, rather than the typical tale... the villians are your friends, and also... in love with you????
Both of the posts will start with Riddle, so until then, there might not be any other like ideas until I finish those and finally warm up my writing skills again. Sorry, guyssss 🥹.
Unless, of course... you guys wanna drop in my inbox and drop a little idea, I'll write a bit of thought on *wink wink
You've been feeding me with your twst monster au so its ur turn😱
----Monsters as Plushies-----
Modern au again
Tw: Bad grammar(cuz im more into drawing and its not my first language💔💔💔💔 ) I tried my best. Do. Not. Judge. Thanks🙂
"Its all Sold out!"
The booming voice from your phone made you wince. Furrowing your eyes, you didn't register what was said as you were still dazed from being waked up early in the morning. Instead frustration boiled inside you, the words going in one ear and out from the other. You were about to scold your merch director for disturbing your peaceful sleep when they suddenly spoke again.
"[Name], the plushies are sold out!!!!!"
Sold out? The phrase echoed in your mind.
"Sold out?" You murmured
You can feel the director nod eagerly through the phone "Yes, yes in 24 hours it was—"
That was the only response you needed when you hang up and pulled out your laptop from your desk and onto your lap. Turning the laptop on, the flashing light of your laptop irrited your eyes but you didn't mind, just moving the cursor to clicked on your merch website. When it was finally opened, you were greeted with a big red text plastered in each plushie.
Sold out
You scrolled down and everything was sold out. Each plushie was sold out in under 24 hours. What the hell, you didn't expect it to be sold out so fast and only with the promotion of you sending a memo about selling limited edition plushies the day before the release.
You stop scrolling on the plushies and checked the reviews and post about them. Scanning each and one of them.
COMMENTS:
"Who would've thought the monsters could be so cute!?😭❤️"
"The mummy prince becoming from daddy to baby"
"BRO WTH, why did it sold out so quick, I wasn't able to buy anything😭😭😭 "
"Yoo who has the red ghost plushie I'll pay thrice the price. Please Im desperate😰"
"WHO THE HELL HOGGED ALL THE PLUSHIES😡"
"The Gargoyle plushie is so cute despite being so scary in camera"
"Do you guys know when they will restock? "
The initial shocked dissappeared and you start to grin at each comment. A greedy and devilish grin to be more specific . Who would've thought exploiting your monsters as plushies would be such a good investment for your career! What a shame you only put 20 stocks in each plushie. If you knew this would happen, you'd put atleast 50 or 100 stocks in each varianty of plushie. Maybe you should call your merch management team to make more.
-----Note----
Drawing the chibis made me realize how much effort you take to make the designs of the twst monster au. And this made me appreciate and admire it more(ノ≧∀≦)ノ. I wasn't able to draw everyone cuz not everyone had official designs so yeah, and if you haven't notice reader is wearing a ghost buster outfit😰✌️.
If you want to see the drawings close-up, check this drive
Also tell me what's ur favorite monster plushie and if they acutally exist would you buy it? (︶ω︶)
Cw: Possesive Traits, They all fight over you, Jealousy, Fame/Money hungry Reader, Suggestive (Vil), Spelling errors
oh my goodness. THEY'RE ADORABLEEEE AHHHHHHH!!!! I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!! Unfortunately, I would be one of the fans who funds the casts appetite in readers apartment lmao. They're also sooo detailed!
Oooo maybe that's your first time selling merch too!!! Who would've thought they would've all been taken so quickly <33333
When your roomate's find out however...
"Do you know who's sold out first?!"
How are you supposed to know that?!
It seems after the sellout, everyone is attempting to outsell each other to your fanbase. Truth be told, most of them don't really care what your fans think of them. However... whoever ends up being the favorite, is technically your #1 moneymaker, are they not? The more fame they make you... The more you'll want them to stay with you.
"Child of man, are you selling more?" Malleus and his stone body remain sat in front of you as you use his chest as a makeshift table. Your pens write over the occasional crack, but it doesn't deter you. You need to calculate your future fame!!! Surely enough, if people promote them they'll grow curious and wonder who you are!!! oughh you need to reel them in!!
Maybe... with more merch? You should start small and sell your most popular beast. But... who on earth would that be—?
"Ace...!" You yelp when a cold chin places itself on your shoulder, looking over at your writing. He hums when going over the numbers. A finger with exposed bone traces over his name, following the prices of each beast.
"Just use me. We're always together so your viewers know me best, yea—"
"And they will know how much of an issue you are the vast majority of them time." Riddle chimes in, Deuce nodding along at the statement. You ignore the curses him and Ace seem to trade with each other behind you. "You should make the right choice to your audience. If they sense you are lacking in quality—"
"What are you implying, Rosehearts?" A mossy wing curves next to you, caging you closer to the gargoyle, and pushing Ace away.
"I am not implying anything. Simply saying the logical solution." Before Malleus can call him out, dozens of bandages take hold of his stone wing, pulling it back so you are no longer in a monsters hold. It doesn't last very long however as even more bandages shoot out and pull you into the mummies arms.
"You're a doctor. Shouldn't you know people don't always follow logic?" Leona's arms are on the cold side, but you instinctually slouch into his arms. "Besides," He rolls his head around, a dull green glowing through the bandages around his yes. "I'm all they talk about in the comments."
"Hah?" A collective thought at the statement.
The group opinion is interrupted when a shoot of water sprays the mummy at the back of his head. When they look at the culprit, the three marine monsters lean over the small indoor pools walls.
They could easily grow in size and dominant, but oh they're just too kind to do that! Seeing you in tears would be an adorable sight, but destroying your home, while beneficial, is just too cruel!
A cold tentacle somehow reaches you, and gently tugs you towards the water despite Leona's strong grasp.
"I don't think that's the case Leona." Azul fixes his glasses as each appendages adjusts your clothes, despite your pajamas being perfectly fine... "But if you don't believe me, we could also check and see."
"I'm good. You'd find a way to turn it into a deal." Leona scoffs. He doesn't fight back from the sudden steal of you in his arms. He glares, however that's as far as he's willing to go, as he knows giving them the reaction they want will just boost their egos.
"Oh?" Jade's nails poke you in the cheek as he smiles. "But is that not what our dear little influencer does every day?" slowly, he scraps gently down, a soft tingle on your skin until he stops at your waist. "All those brand deals... taken just as quickly as they were asked." You frown at Jade. You know what he's about to say. Well not him but—
"Shrimpy's real easy, huh?" It's Floyd's turn to pick up where Jade left. "You reaaally like that money. Wouldn't blame ya though." Floyd's nail starts from your waist, and trails up. "I'd use that money to spoil you good. If I could make more for you."
"Would you really?" you ask. When you take a moment to think, all eyes remaining trained on you.
"Mmmm yeah I would. Jade and Azul too." You think even more at the prospect.
"Goodness," Azul leans over the pools edge, "You're thinking quite hard. Does that mean you wish for us to help you?"
"Well—" Before you can answer, another wispy matter takes hold of you, swinging your out of the trios grasp and into your wall. You don't feel any damage though, as the warm mist cushions the blow and well... The genie hugging you with all his might.
"Oh oh! I can help! You just have to wish for me to be your best seller!" Despite his appearance being similar to a Ghost, Kalim doesn't hold any of the cruel cold the rest of these beasts due. His quite warm, like another human would be. Too distracted by the embrace, you fail to notice the snake who slithers to your side.
"That wish seems to be more in your favor, Kalim." Jamil pries him off of you with his freezing fingers, the difference between the two temperatures being felt on your skin. Kalim frowns at the loss of contact, but he seems even more disappointed at the wish being for him.
"Oh! Well then you can wish for something else instead!" The offer has you immediately perking up. It earns a collective groan from your room mates, as everyone knows what it is you'll ask.
"I want to be—Mmph...!" A freezing palm covers your lips, Jamil glaring at you for the try.
"You should be more cautious when you make wishes." You are! Is what you try to mumble through his skin, but it doesn't seem to work.
"Then may I take the offer?" A tentacle appears back in your hand, a weird attempt at hand holding. "We would just love to be the ones who help you achieve your dreams..." Azul... Wow... Is he sparkling...?
"Goodness, being famous sounds quite nice, doesn't it?" Jade too...?!
"We'll be the ones who reel in viewers don't worry Shrimpy." Your moneymakers...!
"Ashengrotto, I hope you aren't forgetting we are all here in the living room." Since when was Malleus at your side again?
"We all are capable of helping [Name] reach their goals." Riddle crosses his arms as he floats, glaring down at everyone. "Some more than others however..."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ace sits up from the couch he was slouching in.
"I think you know..." Deuce whispers, fidgeting with his hand.
Before you know it, your living room, which is not built for monster combat, is being used for monster combat. The moment you slip out of everyone's embrace, you are met with another road block.
Someones chest.
"It seems we came at a troublesome time." The sweet aroma the wafts from behind you, is enough to know who it is you hit. However, the twin tails that begin wrapping around your thigh, and well manicured hands that wrap around your waist, or even more so of an indicator. "Shall we go somewhere less chaotic? I know some better choices."
"Do you know somewhere new to film, Vil?" Your eyes remain fixated on the fight in front of you. Your sentence does have him sigh however. You truly are focused on one thing only... His train of thought stops when he notices you not looking at him. Slowly, his nails trace up your body, before taking hold of your chin.
"Indeed. It's quite close." His eyes glance at your bedroom door. You're not quite that oblivious however, and know full well what it is he's implying.
"We can try—"
"Everyone look at Vil!" The sound of what seems to be your translation app's text to speech goes off, and the chaos quickly comes to a halt. But not for very long, as everyone can see the state Vil has wrapped you in.
"Schoenheit." Malleus is the only one to physically voice his annoyance, but you can see it on everyone else's face as well.
One glance at your once closed bedroom door, that's now slightly ajar tells you who your culprit might be... Especially since you can see his flaming blue hair through the crack.
More importantly though–
You quickly duck out of the way fromt he several attacks being aimed at Vil, stone, bone, bandages, tentacles, all sorts of monstrous asssaults are being aimed his way. Except from Kalim, who's too busy planning out your "Wish Sheet". You don't look back to see whether any of them hit Vil.
You're a bit too focused on the reaper who's invaded your bedroom.
...
"Idia?" you close the door, the sounds of conflict still heard loud and clear from beyond it. "... Did you do that? You can come out" Silence. "... The plushies sold out really quickly." More silence. "Thanks for designing them." A shuffle is heard. "They made me a lot of money so far so you know, I really appreciate you for it..." A slight mumble. "You know, so far you're the only one who's directly contributed..." Now you can hear muttering. "Do you wanna go to Comic-Con with me? I would like to sell some more exclusively over there. Maybe... with the designer near me?" The mumbling stopped. He's hiding again. "You don't have to be next to me...!" Silence.
"... We can cosplay that one ship from–" You jump when the Grim Reaper jumps out from your closet.
"How soon are we getting away from these guys?!"
...
By the time you get back, the argument is ongoing. It actually doesn't stop until your next merch drop... However, it starts up a new one, where rather than plushies, they're fighting over which monsters keychain sold out the fastest.
