Hearing that Jill has a Kyle MacLachlan picture on her desk in RE3 Nemesis is fucking great. Like damn Carlos I love you but you never stood a damn chance against my boy Dale Cooper.
Thank you Japan for being obsessed with Twin Peaks lmao.

PLEASE DONT LET THIS TREND END I HAVE TI ANIMATE IT FIRST
Not gonna lie, I find it funny whenever people claim that the reason why Jill wasn't in RE9 is because she's too traumatized after Wesker abducted and brainwashed her back in RE5 (which happened almost two decades ago) when a) a huge motif of Requiem is literally circling around facing your own fears and trauma (Leon turning back to the R.P.D. and Grace turning back to the hotel where her mother was killed) and b) Jill got featured in Death Island, but because the creators are cowards they re-used the same character design she had at 24 despite the fact that she was supposed to be already in her 40's at that time, then came up with the whole "Wesker's experiments on her de-aged her." explanation. Yiu can simply admit that the developers are sexist and ageist and refuse to include a female protagonist who is too old to be conventionally attractive. It's okay, I promise!
Jill Valentine should have been in RE8 and RE9. Mia and Jill share the trauma of being brainwashed (for years) and being forced to do horrific things at the behest of another. Mia went much further with conducting inhumane experiments on children (Eveline never stood a chance at being normal) and Jill was forced to do who knows what exactly while under the control of Albert Wesker and Excella Gionne, but it involved lots of dead people and crimes against humanity. Furthermore, they were separated from their "family" for years (Mia separated from Ethan and Jill from Chris and the BSAA writ large) and had to integrate themselves back into normal society. I would have preferred her over dumb as rocks Chris "Sorry, Ethan *shoots what Ethan thinks is Mia like 10 times and refuses to elaborate further*" Redfield.
And the second half of RE9 should have been given to Jill. Rumors were that she was originally part of the game until her role was reduced further and further until she disappeared entirely. IDK if the rumors were true but I'd argue she has a much bigger connection to Raccoon City than Leon "Capcom's Golden Goose" Kennedy. Have Leon tap out after "not hitting the vitals" on Emily (๐) and have Jill take over. Give us the Clock Tower teased but never shown in RE3 Remake. Have Jill go back inside the S.T.A.R.S. office (that was given to Carlos instead in the RE3 Remake)! Maybe she can go back to her former apartment or at least see it!
Instead we got the boring beige Call of Duty/2006-esque hell scape that is Raccoon City with Leon instead. It was such a deliberately scuttled opportunity for the player to explore Raccoon City through Jill's eyes!
Jill has experience fighting giant spiders and an evil plant monster (RE1 '96 and the Remake - do not get me started on the travesty that is RE3 Remake). She was part of the BSAA - she would have a stronger reaction to seeing her fellow troops turned into zombies. But nope, gotta give it to Leon Kennedy.
Who, by the way, was (1) actively dying and (2) didn't seem to have a reaction to the obvious Wesker clone?! It would have hit a lot different if Jill met Zeno.
IDK what Jill Valentine did to Capcom and why so many of the developers seem to detest her very existence. It rankles me that she hasn't been seen in the game's timeline since what, 2009? Bring her back you cowards.
