Eyes Of A Beast, Presence Of A Man
If he says he has demons inside of him.
Run.
If he says thereâs a dangerous evil lurking in his bones.
Run.
If he says youâre his savior.
Run.
If your stomach turns at his name,
his laugh,
or his kiss.
Run.
Heâs using your empathy to fill his soul.
Itâs not love.
Itâs entrapment.
Itâs desperation.
Heâll breathe while you suffocate.
Heâll tell you rehearsed truths of insincerity.
Heâll use self-pity to tear you from limb to limb.
He will devour you whole.
Iâve lived this nightmare.
Stuck in between salvation and obsession.
Waiting for an âI love youâ
Only hearing the loudest silence in his eyes.
When I say run.
You RUN.
Run until youâre gasping for air.
Run until your feet bleed through your soles.
Because in the full moon,
the beast comes out to play.
