a talking point i often see when defending the consumption of dark content is that it’s a coping mechanism for those with trauma which is very valid and true but i also want to make this abundantly clear: you can like dark content for no reason. you can enjoy fucked up shit in fiction because it’s enjoyable and entertaining. trauma is not required as a ticket for entry. enjoy your dark content bc it’s fun and sexy and don’t let anyone take that away from you

a lot of people dont care about insect biomass collapse bc when they hear we are losing 2.5% of the insect biomass per year they just imagine the cockroach and housefly population decreasing by that much. they dont realize those are among the only ones that will remain unbothered

playing through the gw2 expacs I missed (i started with Janthir bc i KNOW soto will make me want to boil myself alive) is like walking into my childhood home and saying hello to all my most beloved belongings and every time i turn to look at something new a writer with a critical case of blorbo disease runs in and pees on it and says THIS IS MINE and sticks a sticker of blorbo on it and goes THIS WAS ALWAYS THERE. the sticker is permanent and the pee will never wash off. enjoy your lore!
