Feeling the other wriggle in his grasp, Noé let go, dumping him right where he was and watching in slight amusement as the blue monsieur landed roughly on the ground below. When beholding him, one would imagine Vanitas to have unmeasureable amounts of poise and grace, but it didn’t take long to realise that he was a crude, impulsive man.
“ So you might say, but what I would like to know is how a situation like this can even happen on multiple occassions. ”
Then again, the first time was more on accident than anything – honestly it was to be expected of an ordinary human to land awkwardly when dropping to his death from an airship. Had it not been for Noé, who knew what would have happened to the doctor. Ignoring the fact that there was one of the creatures the man was seeking right before his very eyes, the white haired man indulged in the other’s pace and his eyes lit up with excitement.
“ ‘Interesting’, doesn’t even begin to cover it! This city is marvellous! Never before have I seen such advanced technology, not in London nor in Paris! What I wouldn’t give to drive ne of those… cars…! ”
Vanitas grinned sheepishly at the other man’s words, trying to hide how offended he was. He wasn’t that stupid, luck just wasn’t on his side...! Perhaps it just offended him more because Noé said it so seriously.
“It’s just coincidence, my dear sidekick. Fate brings us together when we need eachother!”
He didn’t want to look incompetent in front of the other. And he surely hadn’t when he had been returning a real name to a vampire, right? He’d looked really cool, hadn’t he? (That was what he told himself to get through the days.)
“Ah yes, the technology and such is very remarkable. Perhaps if you learnt to drive a car we could find the vampires faster...”
Seriously, vampires were all this guy ever thought about.
“I haven’t had much of a chance to stop and appreciate that kind of thing though. There’s much work to be done!”
