8.15.21 • It’s the week leading up to a big event I’ve been planning for the last 4 months so I haven’t had bandwidth to do anything else creative, including taking photos, so here are a few from folding laundry, a site visit to the park in preparation for our event, À bout de souffle

8.14.21 • Woke up at 6 AM to spend the day at Ogunquit Beach and all I have to show for it are pics of ice cream shops

8.13.21 • Shadows and a sunset walk at Popham Beach for a moonlight concert by an experimental string quartet 🌙

8.12.21 • Got really lucky and didn’t have to pay a parking ticket. Picnic at the eastern prom with work pals and took a swim in the east end beach. Helped Atia move and had her homemade dumplings after. It was a very sweaty, humid day.

8.10.21 • My mind still hasn’t switched over to “August” yet, and yet it is beginning to feel like fall. This week feels heavy. Feeling restricted due to arbitrary work policies. I can’t take time off until my 90 day review so I can’t take time off when my parents visit next week and I’m worried I won’t be able to go to my brother in law’s wedding in September. Life shouldn’t be constrained by work. I resent that capitalism owns our time and our bodies and our water and our air and our food. I want a garden. Met up with Maya at the eastern prom for a picnic. I brought tomatoes, apples, and cheese from the farmers market.

8.7.21 • Started the day by going to the farmers market - got mushrooms, tomatoes, flowers, greens. Met up with Rob in Hallowell, then went to swim at Thompson Lake with Derek, Luci, and her family

8.6.21 • My therapist said I have a lot of “new moon energy” 🌑 Went to Greene for a harvest dinner at Ronny’s partner Joey’s lovely backyard. Took photos with my film camera instead of this. Sky was periwinkle. Night pool party, a fire.
