I am reopening asks, but I would like to reiterate that I do not want people sending me donation requests unless they are friends/mutuals. They are an extreme anxiety trigger for me. I have asked multiple times for people not to send me them, yet people still mass @ me and others on posts about donations. I may disable asks again if I get a bunch of donation related asks again.
I do not like having my askbox disabled since I like chatting with people! But getting a bunch of asks about donations, especially when it is extremely hard to tell who is and isn't a scam, is an anxiety trigger. Especially when the asks graphically describe the situations people are in and include uncomfortable images. Even if a fundraiser is legitimate, it's still extremely scummy to spam ping strangers and beg for money. There are better ways to get money then spamming people. Unless that person specifically states they are okay with being pinged or asked for donations, you really shouldn't ask them for money
There are better ways to get help then dming and pinging complete strangers who have no way of helping. Please respect my wishes and do not mass ping me, send me asks, or comment on my posts asking for donations.
