@sparklingnight02 I have another headcanon for that! I've mentioned it before, but it was forever ago so I'll go ahead and repeat myself
There's a difference to these divine beings between minor injuries and major injuries. Minor includes bruises and cuts to skin that Pit gets during normal missions, ones that easily heal with hot springs and revivals.
Major injuries are the ones that continue to manifest revival after revival and can't be simply fixed with a hot spring. These include Pandora and Chariot Master's entire bodies. That's why it takes the rewind spring for Pandora to revert back. This includes Pit's wing damage, of course, but with an added layer.
For him, it's not just a major injury, it's lethal. His wings impact his very livelihood. That's why he was struggling to breathe and why the rewind spring was so vital for Pit. My best comparison for all of this is how gems work in Steven Universe. So long as the gem isn't damaged, they can continue to reform forever. Pit's wings are his equivalent, and other divine species likely have their own equivalents. Like how dryads rely on their trees.

That thing was BARELY hanging on, and the other was completely burned off. Forget his current disability, he would've went from weak limbs to being an amputee without the rewind spring. IF he even lived. Hell, even a normal human person would likely be getting all of their vitals checked in the hospital if the same thing happened to their arms or legs.
So major vital damage meant a normal revival couldn't just fix this. He would've either died permanently or become an amputated angel.
how did Soulless Pit start killing humans? did the chaos kin put part of itself in his body? did it use Palutena’s powers to control him? I can’t imagine it just… asked—he was basically brain dead. always very curious about the species mechanics / adaptations of the Chaos Kin; perhaps it’s connected to the summoning it did in Chapter 21?
The Chaos Kin, being the parasite it is, managed to get a hold of Palutena's soul, yes we all know this. Then, now having control over her body by having her soul in its grasp, used her powers over Pit. His soul was attached to a ring because of Palutena's powers, said powers being controlled by the Chaos Kin. So, Pit being soulless and naturally under the command of Palutena, who is under the Chaos Kin's control, is therefore able to be controlled by the Chaos Kin. It craves chaos, obviously, so it makes Pit kill humans. The Chaos Kin, despite being a parasite, is very intelligent. By killing humans, it causes chaos to distract the fact it's trying to kill Palutena. It's a diversion. Not to mention, with Pit out of the way, there's nobody left who is both intelligent enough and close enough to Palutena to put together the fact she's being possessed. The army is too dumb and none of the other gods are close enough to Palutena. For all they know, she pulled a Medusa and finally snapped against the humans.
Also, head canon thing here, I like to believe that the underlings of gods have their souls tethered to the god. So Pit is tethered to Palutena, along with the centurions. It's why Pit and the centurions can be revived forever. So long as Palutena is alive, they can continue to live. Then Dark Pit is tethered to Pit. That's why, when Pit's no longer in his body, Dark Pit was also absent. "Un-Myself" as he put it. So once Pit got his body back, Dark Pit who was tethered to Pit's soul, came back to his own body.
I remember when I first saw Spelldon's design. Back when I knew basically nothing about Monster High and only knew he was in a pride comic with Valentine, I saw the pink streak in his curls combined with the green skin as a zombie-inspired design
Of course, now I know that wasn't at all the theme, but I thought having a pink streak in the curls to somewhat resemble brains peaking through his skull looked really cool. Also, a gay Vampire x Zombie couple just sounds like a really fun concept to play around with

new kid icarus headcanon that phosphora really likes/would like mechs like your gundams and transformers, but she keeps it secret from viridi because she feels as if virdi would scold her for liking them/its not something she should have an attachment to due to her role as commander of the FoN cause realistically they'd be bad for the environment in the same way that AI and trains are (even though there is nothing in the FoN code of conduct that prohibits watching mech movies/the lunar sanctum Exists). she yearns for the realization of an eco-friendly FoN mech/mechsuit to fight awesome battles with. whether she watches mech movies behind viridi's back or chooses not to out of 'principle' is up to interpretation (partially because im not sure which choice is more accurate to her character).

til gaol is just an older (mainly british) spelling of of the word jail. gaols name is literally just jail lmao. cause she’s imprisoned in the cursed armor. funny
Makes me wonder if she had a different name when she was a mercenary or if it was just some coincidence or fate sort of thing. Magnus calls her Gaol I think or at least never corrects anyone so that’s kinda funny
Maybe it's like military nicknames. Everybody has one tied to some humiliating or stupid little event or description of them. Gaol is called that because she once got herself thrown in jail overnight when SUPER drunk out in public. If Magnus wasn't his real name, I think a funny backstory for the name could be that he was trying to say something was a "magnum opus" but forgot the word and said "magnus opus" instead.
